Do you know if the policy applies to all foreign patients? I contacted ITEM and they told me it only applies to SEA patients, and that North America is ok. I’m planning on going to Seoul in May for DES and ITEM is one of my top three... I’m Canadian, but I’ll be traveling through Japan first and definitely won’t be able to spend 2 weeks in Korea before surgery, so trying to see if it’s even worth going anymore

 

Hello! I’m going to Seoul for primary DES in May 2020. I know the in-out tapered crease tends to be more popular in Korea, but I’ve been using eyelid tape for years now and am used to having quite a high outline parallel crease. I know a lot of doctors say epi is often necessary to create a clean parallel crease, and tbh I need it anyways because my eyes are too far apart. However I’m also a bit worried since epi seems to be hit or miss.

Does anyone have any recommendations for doctors that do this style of crease and have good epi results? I’ve looked at a lot of b&a and the outline creases mostly lean on the conservative side, but a higher crease just looks more natural on me. I’ll attach a pic of my goals below.

The only clinic I’ve seen so far that consistently does the look I like is POP, but I can’t find many reviews besides on Gangnam Unnie. Also open to more local recommendations as well, since my friend will be helping me out!

 

ahhh I see! I have an M forehead as well which is why I want to get it. were they able to change the shape of your forehead to be more round? I read that forehead reduction keeps the same hairline shape, but just lower.

Hey all! Does anyone have experience with POP Plastic Surgery? My Korean friend recommended the app Gangnam Unnie for before and afters and the ones I’ve seen from this clinic are absolutely stunning.

I’m planning on going to Korea in late May 2020 for primary DES, ptosis correction, and epicanthoplasty. I’ve been researching clinics and doctors for a few weeks now and Dr. Kim Dong Gul is the only one I’ve found who consistently produces results similar to what I want.

I’d like to have a relatively high out-line crease since this is what I’ve been creating on myself with eyelid tape/glue for years now, and what looks most natural on me. I’ll add a pic below of my goals. I know in-line/in-out line is much more popular in Korea so I want to find a doc with proven out-line results.

If you have consulted with/had surgery at POP, I’d love to hear your experience! I’d also appreciate any recs for other doctors with similar style.
