  1. @Mazikeen yes I had rib rhinoplasty and midface augmentation @ VIP. They charged me $12,000 for primary rib rhino and $3,000 for midface. Wondering why their surgery costs aren’t the same, I read the early comments in this thread and they were charged less? Hmm??? Have you found a doctor yet for revision? I’m currently looking for a revision specialist. My nose looks big, asymmetrical nostrils and I want that cartilage grafts from midface augmentation to be remove but this corona virus situation is getting in the way and ruined all my plans for travelling and getting a revision asap. Sigh

  2. @Mazikeen really GNG used shadow doctors? That’s scary. How did you know ? Through other patients?

  3. @Mazikeen you mentioned you have slanted bridge and uneven nostrils right? Because I’m having same issues. So even after the fix? No improvement? How does it look after Dr. Lee fix your concerns? And after he remove the cartilage grafts from your midface augmentation? How does your nose looks like? Does it look like wide since the removal of the grafts from the midface augmentation? Because from what I’ve seen on their ads about midface it supposed to help your nose looking like pointy right?

  4. @orangeifi wait til you reach 6 mos. because there’s a huge difference compare from what you’re seeing right and in the following months after. I’ve known one girl who also did her nose the same time like me and her nose looks good. She seems confident with her result. Me on the other hand, still having uneven swelling mostly on tip and it’s evidently clear on the nostrils. But I like how Dr. Lee shaped my nose. It’s just I want to reduce the height of my bridge for my aesthetic views as an asian. I just don’t like my uneven tip right now. We’ll see how it will turn out once I reach 1 year mark. Do you have kakaotalk?

  5. @Mazikeen no wonder I still feel a lil bit stiff on my columella. I felt like rib cartilage graft doesn’t really compliments and gives the face the aesthetic beauty the way artificial implant does as @k couture mentioned before. Are you planning to do your revision soon? I’m still searching for revision specialist that will address my concerns. I also have slightly slanted bridge and uneven nostrils. Also I think my columella is hanging and doesn’t really compliments my whole facial features

  6. @orangeifi I’m sorry to hear that. But let the swelling go down and heals completely then see if the result meets your expectation. I do have slightly slanted bridge and uneven nostrils, and my tip (columella) looks like a tip of a bird I’m actually looking for a revision specialist. I’m debating whether or not let Dr. Lee fix it again. The other lady I went the same time her nose looks fine. But we’ll see coz we’re almost on our 1 year mark.

  7. @orangeifi hello how are you? I’m also from california and did my primary rhinoplasty with Dr. Myung Ju Lee of VIP. I’m almost close to 1 year post op. Hang in there you still look swollen. It will eventually deswell. How many weeks/ months are you post op? Looks like your nostrils are even now, which is nice but I could tell that you’re still swollen. My nose looks natural too and also did the rib cartilage rhinoplasty with midface augmentation but my bridge is slightly slanted and nostrils are uneven, I contacted them and they said they’ll fix it. I’m thinking of getting it fix just unsure if I’ll go there again or look for another ps clinic. My main concern is my tip looking like a bird which doesn’t suits my asian features uneven nostrils and slightly uneven bridge. But yours seems fine it’s just swollen right now, hang in there hun.

  8. Hello forumers I’m new subbie here. I would just like to ask any advices/ thoughts from anyone who did their primary/revision rhinoplasty at GNG hospital in korea. I had my primary rhinoplasty done at another clinic in korea too, but Not happy with my tip as it is looking like a bird specially when I smile. I’m actually searching for a revision to correct the tip pointing downwards. The bridge is slightly slanted and nostrils are uneven. Is there any other plastic surgery clinics in korea that specializes in revision rhinoplasty aside from GNG? I’m actually doing my research now and I noticed that GNG has mixed good and bad reviews. Thank you so much!

  9. Hello! Thanks for your detailed review. May I ask what you dislike from your previous rhinoplasty that you decided to do a revision? What kind of implant you had from your previous rhinoplasty? Do you like your nose now? I just had my first rib cartilage rhinoplasty, and on my 6 mos. post op now. I’m just wondering maybe if I need a revision later on, then this might help me on finding the right doctor

QUOTE="K Couture, post: 26184455, member: 471351"]yeah I did. I just went to the airport to get it. Definitely do that. Google translate and gps comes in very handy in Seoul, esp when ure in a taxi. Most drivers dont speak english but if you use google translate then it should be fine. Tho i also had a back up. I would go to the front desk and get them to write the address of the hotel and the clinics in korean so i can flash it to the drivers

Uhhh one thing tho do not leave the airport until you make sure the sim is working on ure phone. Me and my friend had issues getting the sim card to work on our iphones. Luckily we had not left the airport yet and went into the store and got the staff to tamper with the settings for us then it worked. I got my simcard from the convenience store at the airport.[/QUOTE]

hello Kcouture I’m a new member here at this forum, I’m actually on my 6 mos. post op from rib cartilage rhinoplasty, I totally get what you mean right now I felt like my nose is not straight specially on the tip, I’m not sure if the cartilage graft has shifted but it looks obvious on pictures that it’s not straight, I do have uneven nostrils too  but then only 6 months post op so I still have to be patient with it and see how will it turn out . It’s depressing though. I wish I made a lot of research before I did it, I got so scared when I went to the Philippines for consultation and that one surgeon I went to has a lot of patients waiting on his clinic with some infections through artificial implant he used on them. He uses goretex, that freaks me out that As soon as I found out about rib cartilage rhinoplasty I went with it without any further research, all I knew is that I wanted to feel more attractive but then after This surgery I went through I felt like It didn’t boosts me any self confidence, I know I’m still in the early phase of recovery and that I have to wait one full year til I see the result but it’s just frustrating at times. This is my first rhinoplasty and I did it in Korea. How I wished I should’ve made a lot of research, all I can say is that the healing process and the results from artificial implants seems aesthetically pleasing and faster, the swelling seems longer for rib cartilage graft I wonder why. And I felt like my nose is elongated now which I think doesn’t fit my asian features, I have a small face, short nose to begin with and this nose that I have now looks like I look older . Btw how’s your surgery at the Dream? Does it meet your expectations aesthetically? I’m wondering that if I probably need a revision in the future, that it might be hard to remove the rib cartilage graft since it will be absorb? And also where did you get your first rhinoplasty done and what type of material did the doctor used? Why you decided to do a revision? Sorry too many questions ask. I know you’re well experienced on research I hope I could get an advice from you. Thank you sis!
