Do you think the biggest issue you had with Dr Lee was that he just didn't listen to you or he just went about it in the completely wrong direction? If you could share as much info as possible, with more pics (if that's not too demanding!) I'd really appreciate it so much!

I also understand that is very hard to change a person way of thinking as much as myself didn’t heard of anyone when I was pretty sure lol . But I just want to tell you that you may research more and perhaps check in bigger HOSPITALS , Like GNG , I haven’t tried them but something I liked about them is the fancy machines and the City scan they did to Me, very comprehensive and the prices are not fluctuating if you know why I mean . All are fixed . And they are more open minded to discuss with you , to be very honest , My time that i expected to talk to Dr.lee was kinda felt rushing no offence . I believe he used to be good , too many clients you know what I mean? And the after care he needs to do daily is out of hands . Hope you got the message

First time meeting him, also I was confident that he would be the Doctor for it, also I was amazed with his profile experience and of course the posts of the clients he had . Everything was perfect until i realised in a chat that I had there with a patient. She said it’s the second time she was visiting VIP, Referring that her nose tip was a bit eagle type and went for a touch up revision. Well I wasn’t very worried about it and didn’t wanted to know much. After my first attempt, afterwards realising that I had some issues , I searched online for posts and I met a girl who also had issues with VIP , but still I went for the 2nd time for dr.lee to fix it..and then I lost trust . I think is crucial for you to have a very good communication with the agent and make sure the doctor gets your message , I think Dr.Lee didn’t do anything I wanted him to and he has his ideals for beauty and his standards . I wanted to minimise nostrils , didn’t do it , I wanted a firm bridge , is deviated and even lowered then first time. To be honest I have no idea how he could make me it so wrong lol

Thanks! Best of luck to you too! But you're right, reading your other posts on this thread, if even celebrities with wads of cash can get botched procedures done, then it's really just luck of the draw (and a good surgeon - but sometimes that isn't even a guarantee!)

Would you mind sharing some info? What procedure are you wanting? And where are you thinking of going for it? I really hope the flight restrictions and quarantine measurements will ease up come the Summer time!

After 10+ times of being dead certain and confident in my decision to then being uncertain and anxious, I've realized that it's impossible for a surgeon to please everyone. I've came across posts that swear off certain clinics or surgeons, but after looking at their b&a pics (which most don't provide, which I think Is strange if they're really trying to boycott a hospital for incorrect surgery) with photos that are present, it's obvious that there was no botch involved at all, and the person just either had communication issues or have body dysmorphia, where nothing will ever look right on their body. I can sympathize with this, as I'm also hyper focused on my imperfections to an unhealthy degree.
Overall, you just have to go with your gut. Feel it out and see who feels the best for your situation.

You are 70% right , please know that all what they published of course are successful cases , I have to say rhinoplasty is unfortunately still a risky procedure which of course depends a lot from the surgeon and you also need some damn luck. don’t get cornered by marketing and those sweet talks from agents .. get real information from patients and I wish you all the best..currently with this pandemic I’m still stuck in deciding

I totally understand your frustration ..is my 5th time , with much regret currently i should have stopped at the 4th time ..now I look like a piggy nose. I strongly suggest you go to GNG and do all the examinations as possible . I have proof that VIp messed me big , I’m from Macau add me if you want +853 66120238

First and foremost, I actuall went with DFK since it was my first time traveling to korea, not knowing anything about the country or the language, and I also traveled alone. Therefor my experince might have been different from someone who went there without DFK.

Before coming to Korea GNG recommended i get humpectomy + tip plasty and they quoted me 5.5 mil krw. All of the clinics that DFK presented (Cinderella, ID Hospital, JW Clinic and GNG) recommended I get humpectomy + tip plasty except for Banobagi, they recommended reduction rhinoplasty (guess that’s kind of the same thing though).
To be completely honest I don’t remember my exact schedule.. I don’t remember my first consultation the day before surgery hehe..

Surgery day, pre op
Anyways the day of the surgery!! (20/10) DFK came to pick me up an we went straight to GNG. There was a lot of people sitting in the waiting room, mostly locals. I dont remember but I probably did the blood tests, scans and heart thingys before the consultation. Heheh I’m scared of needles so I almost fainted like 4 times and had to lay down on several different sofas while trying to get to a different floor.. (YEs there’s like 378861 floors at GNG). Also, I thought it would be more strict with like showering and stuff but the only thing I had to do was wash my face and but the hopsital gown on (and the super duper ugly panties).
I went in for consultation and I had 2 translators, one from DFK and one from GNG (they were all super cute and very kind), and I also had a korean friend with me. We looked at the pictures of me on a computer and the consultant told me what they thought was necessary to do, went through some papers and then I went to consult with Dr Seong. I don’t know if they do like this at all clinics but it seemed like they wanted me to figure out what I wanted done at the first consultation so that when I came to the Dr everything was already figured out and he would just roughly tell me what he thought and then go through the details of the surgery. Since I’m very shy and don’t like asking for stuff, my korean friend did most of the talking. Him and Dr Seong agreed that if I had a deviated septum the Dr would fix that too (which would cost a little more). To be honest I was just so nervous and felt dizzy all day so I just sat there while everyone else talked… Dr Seong then drew lines on my nose and then I went to my ward and waited for my surgery slot.
My DFK translator had to go help another client so I was accompanied by one of GNG’s translator and omg i loved her (and them) so much they really are soo kind and funny. She followed me all the way to the surgery room, actually not really, I had to go through a really scary door by myself into the suregry room cause of safety I guess (it was some kind of chamber that blew air on me,, idek) . The rest is honestly all just a blur. There was someone in the surgery room that I knew and spoke in english to me but i couldn’t make it out who it was lol. I just know I felt safe with that person and they calmed me down.

Post op
Anyways I woke up not feeling bad at all and the swelling hadn’t really begun yet. I wasn’t feeling any pain or discomfort, that’s like the only thing i remember. I will say that this was not my first or second time I went under GA so idk maybe you get a little used to it?? My surgery was scheduled at 16:00 and I woke up at like 20:00, the swelling got bad about 3 hours later. Dude my swelling was baaaad, like really bad (as shown in the pictures hehe). I got some kind of vitamin thing in my IV drop and later I got antibiotics I believe?? I was awake until like 6 or 7 in the morning (I just sat in my bed or in my chair and looked at myself in the mirror, went to the toilet and took goofy mirror selfies in my hospital gown) and then I slept for about 4 hours. During the night I had two ice packs on my face to try and get the swelling down, I also got some kind of deswelling treatment or something, I layed down in a tank the air gets really high pressure? Idk how to explain it sorry.. English isn’t my mother tongue. The nurses was very kind and gentle with me the whole night and they came to check up on me several times and changed the ice pack for me. IWhen I woke up I got pumpkin porridge but didn’t eat that much.

DFK came to pick me up in the afternoon, her and GNG’s translator came in and started giggling when they saw my swelling lmaaaao… Anyways I got a lot of pumpkin juice and medicine to take every day, I also got ointment for my stitches and one ice pack. Might’ve gotten more stuff but I don’t remember.

First check up
The 23rd I went for a check up and they also removed the gauze in my nose... Boy did it hurt.. It only went on for like 2-5 seconds though. That was literally the only time I felt pain during the whole trip. I had felt really uncomfy the past days, walking outside looking like a monster, so I always went out for a walk during the nighttime when less people would see me.. I also felt kind of drained and I’m guessing that is because I didn’t eat a lot the days after surgery. OH RIGHT, the worst thing was trying to sleep stting up lol. They told me not to lay down and not to tilt sideways as it might f**k up my nose.. At the check up I also got deswelling treatment (Infrared Ray therapy, by they way you can read about the deswelling treatments at GNG’s website I believe). I went back home and had my next check up the 27th. After this check up (23rd) I felt a lot more better, I had a better aptite and was more active.

Second check up
The 27th = day of cast removal!! Up until the 23rd my eyes had been super red/blue/lilac but they day after it started turning yellow and green and i basically looked like shrek. Removing the cast and the stitches did not hurt at all neither did it hurt removing the plastic things/splints they put inside my nose for support. I got one last deswelling treatment before taking the after photos and then I was done! That was my last check up at GNG. One thing that i found really annoying was my bloody eyes, like my vessels broke and my right eye was ”bloody” for about 1 month post op..

@p.joann14 I am so sad for you. You are in the same boat as Mia who also had Dr Seong. He did rib rhino on Mia and left her crying with a big bulbous nose. I have noticed that ladies asking for Hong get Seong. I asked for a consultation with Hong and was told I would be seeing Seong.

As for a short nose with nostril show, you can start massaging the skin of your nose and gently pull and stretch the skin downwards. I did this for 2.years and with gravity too the nostrils are less obvious. They say it is good prep for revision too.

I then looked at how to make the nose appear less short and I got bullhorn lip lift to reduce the philtrum as a long philtrum emphasizes a short nose. I could not face a 4th rhino and hated my short piggy nose.

I researched that to lengthen a short nose now becomes the toughest type of rhino and @krod2017 found a great Chinese rhino surgeon who lengthened her supershort tlps rhino. I would suggest reading her thread and journey and copy it. She posted her after on soyoung too in gratitude and had flown from USA. Message her and she can pass on the doctor's details.

In summary the 2 solutions are massaging and stretching and bullhorn liplift or a great ps in China who charges less than gng and keeps patients for a week inhouse with iv antibiotics. I chose the first as that cost me £2450 vs the cost of revision rhino.

And finally always be on the look out for shills who can pose as new members now or who joined in December 2016 to boost sales for an unheard of GNG. GNG is the worst hospital for use of unethical shills in my opinion.

Is very risky to know whether you saying is true , Because by facts..that’s a hospital with really lots of patients daily ..I don’t believe they are all botched , I would strong say that a person should know what they want and research throughly before doing a Rhinoplasty..

You need an ENT and reconstructive surgery , plZ check on GNG or Dr.Jin Hong Ryul. Don’t go to VIP, you will regret ..

I don't agree that you "get what you pay for." My nose was done at Hanabi and is easily as good as what you see on the before/after pics at VIP. (Their customer service was crap and I'm irritated at them for a number of reasons, but I'd take crappy customer service over the 2.5-3K extra in cost any day.) My friend went to View and hers looks great as well. They had much better customer service there; not sure how much she paid for hers. I've heard a few others like Jin (?) cost around the same as Hanabi.

FYI I was a patient at Vip, And for the second time ..using rib cartilage , my bridge is still sliightly deviated..I wished I could seek Dr.Jin ..for that amount of money I have paid..and time ..do well your research and don’t fall for marketing schemes

Hi there , in regards for revision rhinoplasty using rib cartilage , you may need to rethink or probably I got unlucky..I saw some ppl got success however myself and another patient that I knew got deviated ..hope you can do more research and good luck
