  1. I clarified yesterday- they recommend 6 months between treatments, and were clear that it may not give the results I need. I will most likely need to see an oculofacial/ oculoplastic surgeon in the USA who can do the removal which will be quite difficult surgery apparently and not to mention $$$$

MVP clinic also gave feedback on my photos and also recommend I see a specialist surgeon so unless I can find one in Korea I will most likely need to get surgery in the USA.

Dreading the exchange rate for the CDN dollar!!!

  2. So I had botched fat transfer to under eyes and cheeks two years ago. They basically said they cannot do a revision surgery to remove. I was quite surprised as they have an ASAPS/ASPS US board certified surgeon on staff and US surgeons generally have experience with this type of issue (because a whole lot of USA/Canada surgeons do a **** job at fat grafting and see lots of complications like mine)

I talked to Alice again last night and Dr Chang reviewed my photos and stated I was a difficult case (LOL). They didn't recommend surgery but recommend Accusculpt (1444nm laser) to try and help dissolve the fat.

Problem is I may require more than one round, and since I would be visiting from Canada for less than 10 days ideally the logistics of spaced treatments could get tricky. I'm in Toronto so not keen on the idea of multiple long flights to Korea.

  3. Must be same person then I'm assuming as they are a smaller clinic. She's very nice.
I am hoping to go in late april or early may if they agree to take on my case. Also waiting to hear back on JK Plastic Surgery. Got turned down by VIP yesterday.

I'm trying to finalize virtually or narrow down to 2-3 as I don't want to show up in Korea and find out no clinic will do the removal surgery!

  4. I am talking to this clinic right now, they seem very professional and came back to request more photos and info than what I had originally sent through. I am hoping they can help with fat grafting removal lumps under my eyes and cheeks.

What is the name of the Canadian lady who works at the clinic? I am also Canadian and would be visiting from Canada as no surgeon in Canada or USA is comfortable taking on my issue. I've been chatting with a consultant on whatsapp but not sure who it is.

Do keep us updated on your consult and hope everything goes well for you

  5. I saw Dr Stephen Mulholland in Toronto. Did he do a decent job, yes, however if I do a 2nd round I would not go back to him for a few reasons:

He's very hard to get a hold of if an issue arises which is frustrating. He operates like an assembly line.
I developed some noticeable rippling and fibrosis on my lower abdomen which was used as a donor site and he said he could inject steroids. I called his BS as I have a science background and know that inkecting steroid wouldn't do anything.

I pushed back and asked him to go back in to smooth out my lower abdomen and he finally agreed however the front staff sent me an 'enhancement quote' for $1000. I pushed back multiple times and they said they wouldn't waive the cost.

It wasn't until I posted a negative review with pics on realself that they agreed to waive they fee (if I took review) down of course.

My friend Who went to see Dr Bednar in North Carolina had much better results overall- they have a FB group where ladies post progress pics- he is an artist!

  6. I totally agree, don't think I'll be getting PS with a canadian surgeon again- US docs have more training and experience! I find Canadian docs have a 'you look good enough/not that bad' attitude which is frustrating.

Had the breast fat grafting almost two years ago now (July 2018), any volume I lost was in first 3 months, and it has stayed the same since then.

  7. I had about 50 percent retention. I think a lot of retention is technique dependent. My friend went to Dr Edward bednar is south South Carolina and she had 80 percent retention.... Not to mention she was able to go up 2 full cup sizes. I got one.

  8. Hi There,
I had fat grafting in Canada in 2018 and I REALLY regret it. However fat grafting is totally operator dependent and I am confident that there are lots of surgeons in USA and SK who have the expertise to do it properly.

Fat does generally not 'migrate' like filler can, but if it is injected incorrectly and doesn't form a blood supply, it either 'dies' or turns into an oil cyst. This is what hapened to me and it is hard and lumpy and painful.

I do look distorted when I smile now as the fat was placed too high on the cheek and it pushes up my lower lid when I smile. Also fully correcting one part of the face while leaving others untreated can also look unnatural. I do not have an issue with sagging - but this could be nature of where it was placed on me and my age (32)

I had breast fat grafting in Canada and my results were excellent. The surgeon had experience and I had no lumps bumps or cysts afterwards.

  9. Hello everyone  this is my first post on the forum. Two years ago I had fat grafting to lower lids and upper cheeks by a PS in Canada. It was a huge mistake and left me completely asymmetrical and puffy. I couldn't even see out of my left eye for six months after surgery.

I waited a year and went to see another surgeon in Canada who did an open lower bleph. He was able to remove some fat under my eyes, but not my cheeks. Symmetry improved a bit however a year later I still look lopsided and my cheeks and lower lids are extremely lumpy and hard. I avoid smiling at all costs as it make me look bizarre.

There is not a single surgeon in Canada willing to fix or who has expertise to do so. I consulted with several USA surgeons who said they 'can't help me' and 'it's not that bad'.

Since fat grafting is so common in South Korea, I am wonodering if anyone had experience and help from a PS there who was able to 'fix' or remove previous fat transfer? Any help would be so greatly appreciated! I can't seem to find anything regarding fat grafting revision online as surgeons obviously don't generally advertise this service.
