  1. I had liposuction at Laprin and it was actually Dr Lee HW who did it. I am very happy with the overall experience so far (still waiting for the end results, has been 2 months), but I only did my thighs and hip line (plus breast fat grafting), so whole-body lipo might be different. Will follow your thread^^ BTW did your doc talk to you in English or did you have a translator? Or do you speak fluent Korean?

  2. I am the same, I don't want implants and I don't want huuuge breasts, just a bit fuller so that they match my body shape better^^ I was planning to update at the 2-month mark again, but why not now^^

So just after I wrote the last post, I started feeling something was "going on" inside my breasts, and they seemed to become bigger - I actually started joking that they have to stop growing now because it's getting too much^^ but then I lost a bit of overall volume, in the legs and breasts, which I guess was due to some internal swelling or water still retained in the tissue..? So then I freaked out that they will shrink away from now on - but no, they are still nice and full, just a little less than after surgery and I guess they settled a bit down. The main problem is actually my mind, because I am now used to my new body and I think I already forgot how it was before haha I don't even have pictures of my body before surgery, only the clinic took some. But I definitely see the difference in how my pants and bras fit now^^

The other "issue" for me personally is eating and working out and NOT worrying about trying to loose more weight so that the breasts don't loose the new volume before I even see the end result. I guess if you only do liposuction, you can just start exercising and and loose more weight if you want, and if you only do the breast fat grafting you can take it easy and eat enough protein and fat and wait and see^^ but now I do have to exercise for my legs (and also because my body needs exercise and not doing anything after surgery was already difficult for me) but shouldn't do too much and shouldn't loose weight because of the boobs - dilemma!^^ But I really wanted to try the fat grafting now already (not just do the legs now and maybe the breasts later) because I know it does not always lead to big result, and I thought if I have to maybe do it twice anyway (they say many people do it twice, again after 9 months or so if I remember correctly?), then why not try now already. Maybe I was just impatient, but I am still very happy I did it^^ If they do not stay like this, then my plan is to lose a bit more weight overall before I try again, just to ease my mind and in case that makes a difference^^ But if you already lost weight and don't want to do lipo to get rid of fat anywhere in your body (like me in the legs), then you won't have that problem anyway^^

Not much to say about the legs, still a little bit of swelling that goes a bit up and down from day to day, fully flexible, no bumps anywhere, the incisions on my bum are still visible because they are dark, but the ones in my armpits and in my "bikini area" are very faint now.

So fingers crossed for those stem cells to stay alive and keep growing^^ Maybe I'll post some comparison pics after the 2-month photo shoot^^

  3. I am a complete PS newbie (as I mentioned) and joined this forum to share my story - I am definitely not a promoter (OMG)^^ I am sharing all the details because that is what *I* would want (or would have wanted) to know before considering getting something done or checking out a specific clinic. That's all I can say. Other experiences will hopefully follow so that this becomes a good source of information^^

  4. Their booklet says they use the stem cell technique not only for breast augmentation but also face augmentation/rejuvenation, scare regeneration, and other procedures, so it does seem like it could be a good place for that - but you would have to have a chat with the specific doctor who offers the procedure (probably not the one I had) and see if you like and trust him/her..

And yes, I mostly saw Koreans at the clinic. It's in Cheongdam, not in the typical Sinsa/Gangnam plastic surgery area, so maybe not the first destination of a lot of the PS tourists..? That's only my guess though..^^

  5. Haha I am sorry my excitement about my new body seems suspicious to you (really?) - but I am genuinely happy that I FINALLY did this and that it turned out so well, and the only reason I did it is that other people shared their stories on the internet for me to read, so I also wrote it all down^^

But to clarify: As I mentioned in my post, LaPrin seems to offer to negotiate prices depending on your willingness to advertise your surgery/results, I guess that means on your blog/insta/Facebook/other SNS... I don't really do social media and am not a fan of oversharing on the internet, so that's not for me. I did allow them to use before/after pics of my body without my face or name (the ones they take at the clinic and I also sent them more at specific times after the surgery), and I promised to share my experience if I am happy - but there was no guarantee it would turn out so well, so I don't think you could call this "promo"^^ I already sent my friends there and haven't heard complaints so far^^ If you have specific questions, feel free to ask, or send me a message^^

I am going to update the boob situation when I get closer to the "final" result - have to wait at least 3 months it seems...

  6. I really can't tell you what full-body lipo there would cost, because I did something different and as I said it depends on many factors - but you could just send them a text message via the Kakao or Whatsapp numbers at the top of the website, they can give you a quote/price range^^

  7. I didn't see much recent information on liposuction and almost nothing on breast stem cell fat grafting, so I'm opening this new thread^^

I am from a country where plastic surgery is generally considered superficial and superfluous, unless one is disfigured or in real distress, and when I (secretly and full of doubts kk) went to some consultations long time ago (around 20 years ago), what they were able to do also did not seem very convincing. I did however never stop thinking that my body lacked overall balance and that some things should have been distributed differently^^ and after coming to Korea and going through a couple of years of deeply ingrained cultural shock at how easily Koreans change their entire appearance if it doesn't fit their idea of themselves or their life plan, I suddenly started having this voice creeping up from somewhere deep down that said "why not, actually..?"^^ So I don't really know why and how this came up again last December, but I saw some posts from expat women in Korea (in different Facebook groups) who said they had been to LaPrin for liposuction, I found the "pain-free" procedure they advertised very appealing, liked their website, and basically just made an appointment for a consultation. All this to say that I did not do any extensive research, I did not go to any other clinic, I did not even compare prices or anything - but I definitely recommend LaPrin and their entire team and would consider going again for other procedures. It turns out their prices also happen to be VERY reasonable, considering that many clinics charge foreigners more and considering that they do have more work with us who do not speak Korean well enough to do it without translation. Prices do depend on specific procedure, body condition, weight/BMI, willingness to provide them with pictures/advertise results, so I recommend going for a consultation yourself^^

They offer an English-speaking consultant (contacts can be found at the top of their website http://koreaprincess.co.kr/) who will sit down with you and figure out what exactly you want, what they can do, what it will cost, etc. I went through three different consultants - because I went there before a long trip home for Christmas and when I came back she had gone on honeymoon and others took over - but everyone was lovely and they really took their time before and after my surgery and made me feel safe and well-informed all the way. I only realized during the first meeting that I actually can do and want to do the fat grafting, and the first consultant seemed to think that that was maybe a spontaneous rash idea and that I might want to stick to the lipo I came for - so I had to actually confirm later that I really do want that, which is quite the opposite of trying to talk me into things that I might not want or need, something I have heard others complain of...

Again, I did not search for other information, did not check specific board certifications or anything (I am a scientist though and I would say medically knowledgeable overall), but I had the impression everybody really knows what they are doing at LaPrin. The doctor also seemed like he has done this so many times and I am a really very average case - in a good way^^ What they then recommended, and I went with it, is what they call something like the "skinny lipo" (I forgot the real name^^), basically only the thighs and hip line, in my case only 4 incisions, and then the fat transfer to the breasts, 200 ml on one side and 220 ml on the other. The consultant sent me all the necessary information again via Katalk before the surgery, took care of everything before and after the procedure (came to the operating room to translate until I was asleep, got the dressing stuff for me from the pharmacy, was there when I woke up, called me a taxi, etc.), and I then had several appointments for dressing and aftercare (high-pressure chamber, vitamin drip, massage...) and taking in the garment that were also taken care of by them.

Regarding the procedure itself, I have to say it was really not very painful at all. Of course I felt dizzy and sleepy on the day and took it easy for a bit, but then I went to IKEA two days after surgery and was completely fine^^ They put you on medication for a week (includes pain killers, anti-inflammation medication, prophylactic antibiotics, etc.), but even after that I never had real pain and never felt really uncomfortable. Now, around 5 weeks after surgery, my legs are still a bit swollen - which I think is awesome because it means they are still getting smaller^^ - but they significantly shrinked (shrank?^^ shrunk??), and I have all my flexibility back, doing yoga and all. Regarding the breasts, I have been told (repeatedly^^) to not be shocked when they start shrinking and then hopefully growing again, as the old fat cells need to be broken down and new cells to be grown - but they are still as full as after surgery^^ They were never painful, not even really "swollen", just fuller than before. I know I have to wait to see the final results, but so far so good!

So that was everything I can think of right now, but if anyone has further questions - just ask^^
