  1. Hi guys. I’m back with my reviews on getting surgery done in Korea. It has been about 7 weeks after I got my breast augmentation (Bellagel), rhinoplasty and fat grafting done. Btw I was able to get the surgeries done only cuz I’ve been living in Korea for a while now (so no quarantine for me hehe). So after posting that first thread (My consultation experience in 4 diff clinics) I actually visited some more, just out of curiosity. I visited Wannabe and Premier since they also seemed popular with rhinoplasty! In my opinion, Premier offers pretty girls’ noses. I was really really drawn to Premier cuz of my nose but the consultation and amount of reviews & experience didn’t match Dr. Hwang at Nana for breasts. I wanted to find somewhere where I can do both BA and my facial surgeries at the same time cuz who would wanna go through that hassle twice separately?

Anyways so I got my nose and breasts done at Nana and I added fat grafting instead of getting my eyes done. Most clinics all agreed that cantho won’t do much for me since my eyes are already ‘big’ and they told me that I’d actually look great with fat grafting, and if I don’t want a full face fg (I was worried about my face becoming full like a balloon) I should at least just get a forehead (and temple) fat graft. Nana was having a really huge promotion for fg and rhino so I thought I would give it a go, and now..I think I am like a worshipper of fat grafting now. Lol.

So It makes your skin glow, fills up just the right place and since you’ve got volume in the upper middle, your edges actually look smaller. Nana hospital offered me full face fat graft with PRP at only like 2 mil or something more or less (sorry I paid for all 3 procedures + medication etc with one card so I can’t remember exactly) so I asked them to fill in the hollow parts only and don’t make my face look big and they ended up filling up my smile line and front chin which make me look so much prettier and glowy. Fg is amazing in how it gives you a little improvement and little change but you look a whole lot prettier and clearer/glowy? Haha

I got one doc for my fg and rhino. I wanted to get Dr Kim, their head doc but the consultant (Kylie – she is super nice, we still have coffee together sometimes whenever I go get my regular check up) told me that Dr Jang is better with female noses and since I wanted to get a natural and half-curved nose, I chose Dr Jang. I don’t regret choosing her now. I got 4mm silicone (high-soft) with septoplasty on my tip. I love the shape and height already and just hoping for my fatness on my nose to go away. This swelling apparently takes about 6 months or more to go away and soften. Your nose gets super hard – mine is still hard after 7 weeks now. They told me that if you wan’t to avoid infection, you must take the medication they give out well, don’t smoke, drink, don’t do a lot of heavy exercise, sleep on side/on stomach, etc etc so I was hell bent on keeping those. I love swimming but I quit all that until now, only did walking and now I think I’m gonna start doing some cardio with weights from 9th week post op.

Guys, no infection so far, no side effect so far. Result so far so good. You should really go for it if you are always thinking of getting ps. I regretted not getting it sooner. Should have done it earlier when I could!!! I feel so NOT insecure these days, feeling less obsessed with my body and face. I feel happy and satisfied and now I can focus more on more other meaningful stuff in life while enjoying my life. You know, your body copes better when you are younger. So do it when you can.

About Nana plastic surgery hospital & surgery process :
Hospital in General : good, honest consultation (they stopped me from getting canthoplasty when I could just wasted my money on it). Thorough explanation and surgery prep on the day.

They give you a bag with pumpkin juice and other beauty stuff and some stuff needed for post-op care (instructions, cautions, med prescription, etc) and book you all post-op session on the day of your surgery.

After surgery I was able to go home on my own but the pain was real. I took a cab of course and I just downed painkillers and the med they gave me and just slept for like 8 straight hours. Then the pain is OMG the worst the next day. I was just lying in bed, called my friend for yogurt and energade and some hot soup and just focused on taking the med well, 3 times a day. It gets better day after day and I think I can say I was able to do things freely from 5th day. Eat. Shower. Walk. Talk. BA at Nana was great cause you can take a shower from the next day. No discomfort or anything. No stitch. BUT I had stitches on my thighs so I was able to shower after 3 days (Not including my face cuz of rhino). I used HALO face wipe (really amazing) for my face and got hair wash from salons until after 7 days where I removed everything. You can do everything freely from day 8 (the day after you remove all threads).

Send me a private message if you're interested in getting any of these procedures done in Korea or you have any questions for me. I don't think I'll upload my private before and after photos for the world to see, especially BA results, but I'd be happy to help anyone who's interested

    • Thanks 1
  2. Hi! Yes, I've been really busy after the surgery for almost 2 months and I was going to upload some photos but I really looked like a mess for a month so...
Anyway, my rhinoplasty was performed by Dr. Jang because I was told she was the best for women's noses.
My BA and fat grafting was done by Dr. Hwang on the same day.
I had initially planned on getting canthoplasty as well, but I didn't as I was a little short due to reduced working time at work :/
I wasn't planning on getting FG at first, but they recommended it to me for my forehead, temple, and a bit for cheeks. I think it looks much better than before. I heard the survival rate depends on each individual's body type, but I think mine's doing OK so far.
I'm satisfied with overall results, but I'm really surprised at how mildly painful it was for my breasts. Idk if it varies from person to person, or if Dr. Hwang is really nimble with his hands. I barely had dark bruising for FG as well. FG isn't as complicated as BA or rhino so I think other doctors will be fine! I heard Dr. Sung is very good at liposuction as well.

Thinking about saving up some more money and get canthoplasty before I leave next year!

  3. I saw your other post. I'm so sorry that happened. That's so irresponsible what he did. It's terrible that these plastic surgeons don't take any responsibilities for their mistakes. I'm already in Korea, but I'll probably look into it a bit more before getting myself these surgeries.

  4. Yes I'm pretty sure you have to self quarantine even if you don't have visible symptoms. Perhaps you should post-pone your visit to a month or two later if you can.

  5. Oops, I must've confused the doctor names. Korean surnames are pretty similar and there are too many doctor Jangs, Parks, Kims, etc. As for your description of the surgeons, I wouldn't know if anyone is passionate in their work or not just by having one consultation with them. Most of these surgeons are probably pretty competent and know what they're doing and are pretty passionate at their jobs, but the important thing is to find someone who would be able to give me the results that "I" want.
I get that you had a pleasant time at Regen, but no need to get pushy with your opinions.

  6. Hey everyone. So after spending a long time just thinking about getting things done, I decided to finally get consultations for breast augmentation, rhinoplasty & eyes (front, side and maybe lower cantho). I got online consults only but getting f2f soon. Let me know if there’s anything you want to check with me before I go there!

I’ve been living in South Korea for 2+ years. I'm working on my M.D. here and I decided before leaving Korea next year, to get a surgery since it holds a nice reputation for plastic surgery. Ironically it’s a good time for me now since I can just stay at home the whole time after surgery XD.

Anyway, I did some research during the weekend and got online consultations - I chose 4 clinics to go for f2f consultation, all prob by next week.

    1. Regen – The consultant was pretty detailed but I found their quotes to be a little too high. However I know that Dr. Park there is quite famous. I heard that one of their doctors are pretty proficient in English also. A friend’s friend got her nose job here and I heard that hers turned out well. If their prices are lower, I may have leaned towards Regen for eyes and nose but right now I am not so sure – please share if you had any discount experience!

    2. Opera – The consultant was polite, but I felt like some information was only available if I decided to visit f2f. I didn’t want to go in for a f2f consultation unless I was pretty sure about getting the surgery, since they’ll try to convince me to do surgery at their hospital and I didn’t want to feel pushed or anything. The consultant was pushing me to book f2f most of the time. The price is good here though. I personally liked Opera’s eyes. Nose seems too dramatic but for eyes I do like dramatic results. I think I will go to Opera last if they are pushy – please share if you’ve been to Opera!

    3. Nana - The consultant was very professional, the quote for breast was a bit high (nose and eyes are alright) but apparently they had a very specialized breast surgery method that doesn't make you wear blood tube and the healing is easier (shower from day 2)! I heard Dr. Hwang is really popular for breast so I asked for a discount with him (he has higher rate than other doctors) and they offered me a bit in the end. I know the most important thing is the result, safety measures, then price but I can't say that price isn't an issue for me. They had nose & eyes promo so the price could be balanced there. So for breast I think I’m quite bent on Nana and then it’s the only place I can get all surgeries done at once. I also had two friends who got eyes & nose done here so I kind of trust them, but I am just not yet 100% sure with clinic for eyes & nose. I’m quite looking forward to this consultation though. Anyone got eyes done at Nana?

    4. View – View has been really popular on forums – I kept seeing their names so I was interested in getting consultation with them. So the online consultation was alright – I felt View was not as professional as Nana or Regen in terms of how they spoke to me but they were friendly and the consultation itself was not bad. Their prices are very similar to Nana. They gave me their Instagram but after viewing their before and after pictures I kind of felt their style didn’t really match with what I wanted for my nose. Also, View and Opera was one of the older clinics, and I wanted to go to a reputable clinic, but also one that keeps things fresh and up to date, so I was leaning more towards Nana and Regen. I will still go to the consultation since I’ve always been curious about View. I think View will be quite fancy inside the building XD.

Please share any opinion & experience of yours – will really really appreciate all of your comments!

P.S. In terms of nose, I want a natural looking nose, not too curvy but also not too straight and stiff looking– lol hope the doctors will be able to understand what I mean. Anyone want the same nose as me? or got the nose that I want from surgery? Thank you in advance!

  7. Hmm.. I hope you find the right surgeon to do your revision surgery. It must be devasting going through all that pain and recovery period to have to go through it again. Out of GNG, Nana, and ID, try to find one that has a doctor who specializes in rhinoplasty and revision rhinoplasty. Why don't you try asking for some pictures of other patients who had similar problems as you or had gotten revision rhinoplasty?

  8. I think that's a decent price for those two procedures. However, it's not always about the price since you want to go to a surgeon who specializes in those fields or are known for these surgeries. Especially for rhino, different hospitals and different doctors have their own styles so you might want to see some pictures of patients who had tip plasty and osteotomy there to see if it suits your preference.

  9. Have you looked at some of these clinics' before and after pictures? The styles vary by clinic since all doctors pursue a different method and different style for rhinoplasty and eyelid surgeries. I'm not sure about Opera, but Namu seems to have pretty decent photos of people who got rhino. Dr. Lim and Dr. Kim at Nana seems to be popular with women's rhino as well.

  10. After facial contouring surgery (an example would be zygoma reduction, double jaw, etc.), you are bound to get some sagginess of facial skin. Really, I don't think it can be avoided since you're taking out the part of your muscles/bones that held the skin in place. That's why you have to get thread lifting or lifting laser treatments after the surgery once in a while to maintain it. These surgeries alter your look forever and makes you look younger and gives you that nice oval shaped face, but it does come with some "consequences." You have to weigh the pros and cons for all plastic surgery. If you don't think you can afford the maintenance or invest time into taking care of your skin afterwards, I woudn't really recommend it.
