I'm in the same boat. It's incredibly frustrating. Just use this time to research lots of clinics and doctors and narrow down all the relevant info to be 100% prepared for when the time comes
Yeah there's bad and good reviews for every country. Would be impossible/suspicious for somewhere to have 100% good reviews.
I totally agree with you on that one! Super difficult if you don't know any locals in SK. Word of mouth is definitely more reliable than online reviews. I wish you the best of luck finding a surgeon that suits your needs
These are definitely beautiful examples. Wish I had the money to travel to Beverley Hills Well, I did have my heart set on him, but I've started looking into surgeons outside of Asia because of all the botched reviews I've read online with regards to Korea. I'm looking into surgeons on realself from Turkey and some of them do amazing work, and have great prices, probably the same if not a bit less than SK! And they definitely have more experience with western type noses. Have you considered doing PS in or around Europe and not Asia?
Oh sorry, to answer your question, it will be my first rhinoplasty. Out of interest, what procedures/aesthetics did you ask for and what material did he use?
Everybody's face is asymmetrical in some form or another. You would be eligible for a nose job, not to say that's terrible, but a little alteration could balance out your features. A nose job can really change someone's face dramatically, so maybe go with that first and see how you feel after? I'm the same, I fixate on a flaw, and then another, and then another, and before I know it I'm planning out my entire face and body and calculating my life savings! By the way, I'd kill for your lips! It's the first thing I noticed about your profile, albeit a little jealously!
I understand. If you wanted to protect your identity you could just take a closeup shot of just the nose, so none of your other features would show. But no worries I get it When I eventually get my nose done, good or bad I'll be raving about it everywhere online oh yes, I saw this example on their website, and I don't see anything wrong with this outcome. Opinion and beauty opinions are all subjective, so if your nose looks like this I wouldn't say it's a failed operation at all.
Oh gosh, I'm becoming less confident with my choice by the minute! Would you be so kind as to share your final results by Dr Lee via PM or via this thread to show everyone who is considering him to not go?
Your nose is beautiful. Really can see a huge difference in the bridge and overall structure of the nose. Congrats on your successful procedure
Which surgeon did your nose? And how much did they charge you altogether? I haven't heard much about Marble but I'll look into it for sure!
I'm totally put off spending two weeks worth of my money on quarantine rules. I'd rather save that for plastic surgery/traveling costs! I wish I could travel in August/September. I only get my holidays in July and January and July is looking unlikely. Thanks, Corona! and I wouldn't dare take a month off of work because I'd be too paranoid if my employer/colleagues would notice and penalize me for taking so much time off for vanity reasons
I've heard many scary reviews about that surgeon as well! Who knows if he's a bad surgeon or has just made a few mistakes, since no surgeon is perfect. I was put off him though reading the comments here. Good luck for the procedure, I hope it turns out good! Looking forward to your updates.
I'm planning on VIP with Dr Lee. I've heard mixed reviews about him too, but I like the offer they've provided and his style and personality, according to reviews. So we'll see!
There's also a lot of negative reviews on ID and Regan. Just Google the name of their clinic/surgeons alongside the botched or blacklist and see if anything comes up
I've seen some dodgy reviews on this site about hershe. I'm sure there was a thread I read somewhere here that said it was blacklisted. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but when I hear this name it conjures up negative reviews that I've glimpsed during my weeks of researching
Actually, I was rummaging through my old emails, and I actually was in contact with GNG back in December. I remember what put me off was that a) they didn't offer accommodation post OP whereas VIP offered a 10 day free hotel stay post OP, which I liked b) she mentioned she'd help me book a hotel, but the closest one to the hotel was $90 a night and c) they never messaged me back when I left my last email ending with some questions.
That's why I quickly went off those guys
Don't worry, I read through your messages twice and I will take every word you say very seriously and consider my options. Once you've got your eye on a place to go you're right, other's opinions sort of float about, some are taken seriously and some aren't. I have heard good and bad things and GNG. I read in a review to avoid big places like the plague because of their factory style. But It's definitely worth a look! Thanks for the recommendation
I'm so sorry you aren't happy with your current nose. It must be very frustrating spending all that money just to be unhappy with the final result.
Recently I've felt very confident going in for VIP with Dr Lee. He also said the same to me. I have a deviated septum (which I do) and a long droppy nose. These are comments which I totally agree with and would love to get fixed. I was quoted 8,000$ for a septal cartilage surgery.
Do you think the biggest issue you had with Dr Lee was that he just didn't listen to you or he just went about it in the completely wrong direction? If you could share as much info as possible, with more pics (if that's not too demanding!) I'd really appreciate it so much!
Thanks! Best of luck to you too! But you're right, reading your other posts on this thread, if even celebrities with wads of cash can get botched procedures done, then it's really just luck of the draw (and a good surgeon - but sometimes that isn't even a guarantee!)
Would you mind sharing some info? What procedure are you wanting? And where are you thinking of going for it? I really hope the flight restrictions and quarantine measurements will ease up come the Summer time!
After 10+ times of being dead certain and confident in my decision to then being uncertain and anxious, I've realized that it's impossible for a surgeon to please everyone. I've came across posts that swear off certain clinics or surgeons, but after looking at their b&a pics (which most don't provide, which I think Is strange if they're really trying to boycott a hospital for incorrect surgery) with photos that are present, it's obvious that there was no botch involved at all, and the person just either had communication issues or have body dysmorphia, where nothing will ever look right on their body. I can sympathize with this, as I'm also hyper focused on my imperfections to an unhealthy degree.
Overall, you just have to go with your gut. Feel it out and see who feels the best for your situation.
VIP quoted me $8,000 for septal cartilage rhinoplasty to correct a deviation issue and bulbous long droopy tip . To be honest, I'm fine paying that. I honestly think anything below 5k or God forbid around the 3k mark is sketchy, and is something to be concerned about. But that's just my opinion
I personally don't see anything wrong with the after pics. Definitely wouldn't say botched, but it seems your personal aesthetic opinion of what is attractive and what is not was not communicated effectively, or maybe you're are too hyper focused on your facial features or hard on yourself. But in my opinion, your new nose looks great, much better than what it used to look like.
It seems all his reviews are stellar. Where are all these botched surgeries he's done? There is always going to be bad reviews online. You can't please everyone. But definitely a good idea to do throurgh research beforehand.
I really appreciate people posting their reviews, it helps others who might fall prey to another botched surgery. I'll definitely check out Realself. I've not looked on there before. I'm new to purseforum as I'm trying to gather as much research as possible before diving in! Any surgeons/clinics that you've found particularly special during your research hunts online that you'd recommend?
After a bunch of research, I was set on
going with VIP, but a few bad reviews have sneaked in which has made me nervous and now I'm back to square 1 again. It seems you can't trust any surgery.
Can you go into more detail about your experience? Would you willing to share b&a pics in PM?
ugh I hate this corona virus
