Dr. Lee is known as a meticulous oral and maxillofacial surgeon. I know several people that had facial bone contouring surgery with him and were satisfied. I decided to remove my pins and plate due to several reasons. First I wanted to have no evidence of FC surgery left in my face, since the pins are visible in dental X-rays, catscans, etc. Also, I wanted to be able to do ultherapy and other lasers without any risks. I heard there could be a risk with any metal in your face, although some say this is not true. The plate removal surgery was very quick (around 30 minutes). I had some swelling that lasted about a month. The worst swelling was 3 weeks. This is probably longer than usual because I always tend to have prolonged swelling with any facial surgery. Dr. Lee was always available if I had any concerns or questions. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Dr. Lee for any facial bone contouring surgery.

k-couture Posted May 12, 2019 Posted May 12, 2019 of course you can. i have wiring in my zygoma and kept it in because i had no reason to remove it. I do thermage and ulthera every now and then. no issues
