cloey Posted May 18, 2019 Posted May 18, 2019 Hi there! I'm debating on getting DES, but don't know if I should get non-incisional or incisional. I was born with one double eyelid & a monolid. However, recently my monolid started appearing as a double-eyelid, but it's slightly higher than my other double-eyelid. I don't really know what procedure would be better, so I came here to ask for your opinion/experience thanks!
blingblink Posted May 18, 2019 Posted May 18, 2019 Hello! If I am you and my eyes haven't got other problems like ptosis and crazy mongolian fold, I would do non-incision. To me, the less invasive the better but I think is still best you consult a few doctors first to hear them out because non-incision may not last well for some people.
cloey Posted May 19, 2019 Author Posted May 19, 2019 I've been thinking non-incisional would be better, but my concern would be that the thread would get loose soon, or that my original double eyelid crease would come back and would look weird with the new crease I would have to get to get symmetry in both eyes.
cythr Posted May 19, 2019 Posted May 19, 2019 I had non-incisional over two years ago and its still the same height as it was after the swelling went away (I'm caucasian so my case would probably be a bit easier than someone who has monolids). I think that if you aren't asking for a huge change then non-incisional would be the best because it doesn't leave a scar and it is much easier to do a revision if you don't like the results.
