Migo or Namu for rhino ?

Recommended Posts

Hi ! This week I consulted with 3 clinics about the rhinoplasty I need (hump reduction, tip-plasty, septum deviation correction).

Opera : I didn’t really like the vibe I got at Opera, felt more rushed than the other 2 and a bit chaotic to be honest (the employees were all over the place). When I asked if they would be able to correct my septum deviation when doing the rhinoplasty so that I could breathe better they said that they don’t do that, only focus on the looks. The price offered was 3,300,000 which is pretty low.

Migo : They took a ct scan of my face and I really liked being able to have a visual while they explained things to me. I felt really listened to and it wasn’t rushed at all, the consultation lasted about 1h15 and I could ask the surgeon all my questions ! He also tried to explain in english what he could and I appreciated that. they have one in house anesthesiologist which is a must for me. The price they gave me is 5,000,000 (was 7m on kakao with only the pictures), it includes the bloodtests before the surgery, the ct scan that was done and the surgery with a 1 year revision policy. Overall I got a really good vibe from everyone there. But as stated by others on the forum, there weren’t any other patients in the waiting room. I was told the surgeon has lots of experience with rhinos and more and more foreigners are coming to them. I am waiting for them to send me before/after pictures.

Namu : I showed up wothout an appointment being a bit unsure because just a couple days before someone told me they have botched results but I was in the area so I decided to see for myself. I found Claire really pleasant and knowledgeable, she showed me lots of before/after pictures of foreigners that did rhinoplasties with them and the surgeon also spoke english well enough. They use a technique which includes a thin silicone implant to smoth the nose after the hump reduction, so if anyone had that done and can give me their feelings about it I would appreciate. the price given was 5,250,000 (or 5,000,000 if I paid cash) and it includes de-swelling treatment and hair washing as well as bloodtests before the surgery with a 2 years revision policy. Also I want to have the surgery in september and I was told that before that they would probably hire a new surgeon who specializes in rhinoplasties and that surgeon would probably be taking care of my surgery.

Honestly I felt good with both Migo and Namu. If anyone had a rhinoplasty done with any of them (or another clinic lol) I really want to hear about your experience !

you are looking in the wrong direction

i am in the chats and namu has a bad popularity there. they messed up a girl’s nose totally and their style of nose is not good. claire is also meh

migo is like you said not popular at all. i also wanted to go to them but if you scroll a lot in their blog and look at their rhinoplasty, their results are not good and they are not good with complicated cases

please research more

I am still researching ! But so far all the pictures of Migo that I have seen look really good, and the bad reviews I found were about other doctors and not Dr. Kang who is their rhino specialist...

I was interested in Migo and Namu too, but I have only done online consultations with them so far. Claire seems very knowledgeable and nice but if they're getting a new rhinoplasty specialist, I would probably wait and see photos of his work he has done, I had no idea they were going to get a new one. When i consulted online they said Dr. Joung would be my surgeon. Dr. Kang from Migo seem very good too.. Im still researching clinics~ If you know anywhere that is good with Rhinoplasty+DES Please let me know!

Are you still in Korea? Uvom seems good. I consulted them over the phone after i saw their b & a photos. I asked them to suggest and didnt tell them what bothered me and they proposed revisions that addressed my concerns. Their style is feminine curved bridge that's not very high so it depends what nose type you want and choose your clinic from there.

I had my revision rhino with Dr Lee at Hyundai Aesthetics. I had a deviated septum as well as other problems and now at around 2 weeks post op I can tell that my nose isn't deviated any more (and I'm also really happy with the overall outcome as well).

Hi do you mind showing me your B&B photos? I’d like to reduce he bulbousness of my nose and make it sharper. It’s a revision, I’m happy with the rest of my nose job heh.

I'm not really comfortable sharing photos sorry. My nose wasn't very bulbous before so I can't comment on that but what you can see from their before and after's and people I saw in the waiting room/staff at the clinic their noses did seem to be nicely refined at the tip and so does mine despite the swelling.

Hi Ive been researching and wanted your insights on which clinics you’d recommend for primary rhino. Could I possibly PM you or if you’re more comfortable chatting here? TIA
