tulipfairy277 Posted June 2, 2019 Posted June 2, 2019 Hello! I'm still a total plastic surgery newbie, but after searching so many websites it seems like after care is a huge problem in a majority of clinics... i was wondering if anyone could recommend any clinic for two jaw surgery which has a good reputation for after care? Thanks!
itsmarieeee Posted June 20, 2019 Posted June 20, 2019 Hello I am going to go to korea for two jaw surgery! I am a newbie as well. il let you know how it goes
danielpark Posted June 24, 2019 Posted June 24, 2019 I would highly recommend Faceline Clinic, well, I did a rhino there, but this clinic was famous and specialized in 2 jaws and facial contours. And this clinic was on makeover TV show "Let me in" about facial contouring and 2 jaws. Please check this clinic !
itsmarieeee Posted June 28, 2019 Posted June 28, 2019 I was in ID Hospital yesterday and so far i really liked it. I was nervous to go because they were my top choice and heard so much bad reviews from forums and group chats and i was soo worried, but after meeting with the doctor that is when all of my worries went away. He was so professional and kind. I really think it is so important to see the doctor face to face, and come in prepared with questions. DON’T be shy to ask questions! I was hesitant to ask questions at first, but you know what, i flew all the way here so i'm going to ask until all my questions are answered. So if you go for consultations ask away hehe. Also, prepare your day and expect to wait! this is true of every clinic and i think that is the only downside from my experience so far, but i when i waited that is when i thought of more questions to ask.
tulipfairy277 Posted June 30, 2019 Author Posted June 30, 2019 Thanks for replying! I was also thinking of going there but since it’s such a large clinic I heard so many people complain about the aftercare and that they spoke very little with the doctor himself... what other clinics are you going to go to? I was also researching the face dental but since it’s small I haven’t heard much about it..
itsmarieeee Posted July 15, 2019 Posted July 15, 2019 Hello, Sorry i replied late I did my surgery 10 days ago. So, when I did all my research I was pretty set with ID, until I've encountered all the negative comments and some people actually attacked me with a lot of negativity for choosing ID. I did research again and you will see that most of the huge clinics have a lot of negative comments. I think it's inevitable since they are popular and huge. Honestly, I trusted my doctor because i have done research about him and i feel comfortable with him. I think that is the most important part. When i met my doctor he answered all my questions and he listened to my concerns. he really made me feel comfortable and for me that is really important since i went here all alone. My consultation was good and to be honest they have exceeded my expectations especially post-op care. I stayed there for two nights and the nurses was really caring. I remember my first night was tough because blood is coming out of my nose and i was drooling and i was really thirsty but i can't drink yet. It was hard to breathe, my throat felt so dry, but everytime i called the nurse they would be there right away and they cleaned my nose and mouth. I even held my nurses hand and told her to stay with me for a little bit because I was scared and she stayed with me. I didn't feel alone. The doctor visited me a couple of times during my stay just to check how I'm doing, he also checked before I got discharged. Also, i really liked that they provided deswelling treatments during my stay. They brought light treatment in my room. Then they give you schedule to come back for deswelling treatments and for check-ups. So, I honestly think that the whole process pre, intra and post surgery was really good. I am very happy with my results. here is a picture of me 8 days post surgery. my cheeks are still swollen but I'm happy with my results
tulipfairy277 Posted July 15, 2019 Author Posted July 15, 2019 I’m so glad you had such a nice experience there! You look incredible, the deswelling treatments must have really worked! I have one question, after your consultations, how long was it until your surgery? I don’t know how long I should stay there for, but I was thinking a month..
itsmarieeee Posted July 16, 2019 Posted July 16, 2019 Hello, soo in my situation I have done online consultations and sent pictures I think twice or three times before I made up my mind to finally go through with this. You need at least a month off because the first week you will do your face to face consultation with your doctor and then all test will be done like CT scan, Xray, blood test, cardiography, they do a full medical test they ask you for medical history. Then they have to make you a wafer for your teeth it's like a retainer to make sure that you have that ideal bite you also wear this after the surgery. Then surgery happens the following week. Then you just recover. You stay in the hospital for two nights, they monitor your recovery before they discharge you. The second day I was able to walk and move around on my own. You won't feel any pain its more of a sore feeling and it's uncomfortable. You have to do cold compress the first 4 days and I was on top of it because it prevents more swelling to happen and then the after 4 days you transition to warm compress to deswell. The treatments they do really helped with my deswelling and what I like about it is the massage they do on your face I tried to replicate it at home when i apply the face cream they gave me and I think doing the compress at home and being diligent about it helped a lot. walking too helps to deswell. Goodluck to you! If you have more questions I am willing to help I might not reply right away if im busy but I will do my best to help. I also recommend buying a protein shake, I brought mine from US because i didn't want to worry about it when I got here. pumpkin juice is so popular in korea for post op surgery but i think protein shake will help you with recovery more because it will provide better nutrition for you to recover.
itsmarieeee Posted July 16, 2019 Posted July 16, 2019 you will atleast go back to hospital once or twice a week after your discharge for checkup and your deswelling treatments. My stitches will be removed end of this week and i fly back nextweek yaaay!
tulipfairy277 Posted July 16, 2019 Author Posted July 16, 2019 Thankyou so much for all your info, I wish you the best recovery!
