cythr Posted June 15, 2019 Posted June 15, 2019 I had fatgrafting in my under eye and frontal cheek area just over a week ago. When I touch the area it feel somewhat hard. I also had rhinoplasty at the same time so I can understand if I would have extra swelling. Has anyone had the same experience and how long did it take for the fat grafting to feel softer?
daysuntilpretty Posted June 16, 2019 Posted June 16, 2019 I feel around 1 week, my fg was still kind of hard, but soften a lot by 2-3 weeks. I’m about 4 months post op now and it’s very soft now just like any other fat on your face

cythr Posted June 16, 2019 Author Posted June 16, 2019 Thanks for letting me know. I have been massaging my under eyes while in a warm shower and it seems to be helping a lot.
k-couture Posted June 16, 2019 Posted June 16, 2019 nonnononononono do not do that. Massaging the fat graft can kill the cells before they can stabilize. Hardness is fine one week post op especially if you had a rhino too. the fat graft is very prone to dying this early post op if you do not take proper care
mazikeen Posted June 17, 2019 Posted June 17, 2019 Pls don`t do anything to the area. Wipe very very gently with wet wipe. Do not wash or massage coz you will end up causing dents in the area.
