peasantduck Posted July 10, 2019 Posted July 10, 2019 Does anyone have any tips for a faster recovery from eyelid surgery? Last time I took 4 months to deswell to the point where I looked just presentable with makeup on but I'm going for revision and this time, I want to take all the precautions I can to ensure a faster recovery time. Also, does anyone have any advice on minimising surgery scars?
stephanie-lin Posted July 10, 2019 Posted July 10, 2019 I'm planing to do eyelid surgery next month after my swelling from nose surgery completely go down. I've got some precaution from my surgeon as following; - Sleep with high head like 2 pillows or sitting up sleeping for about 7 days. Make sure to keep your head higher than the body so the blood can flow down, less swelling and bruising - Putting Ice packs on top of eyes area to help swelling on first couple days - Keep taking Vitamin C and B even before and after surgery - Avoid all kind of other vitamin and collagen or supplements as it helps a lot for swelling - Don't use eyes too much on first 2 days, rest a lot - Eat less sodium, seafood, high protein food as cheese, chicken, milk, eggs, for the sake of your own scar Maybe this could help you a bit
