heyo Posted August 22, 2019 Posted August 22, 2019 Hello all, So I got double jaw surgery back in March for a class 3 underbite/cross bite. I am happy with the overall experience and outcome! They had translators on standby when needed, and the doctor (Dr. Yoon Chang Won) seemed to speak good English himself. My experience was kind of unique in that personal health issues were discovered before the surgery, but the team at View was very empathetic and very accommodating. The surgery itself went well, but as much of you might know recovery was hell. During the first week I had difficulty breathing, and I think I got some sort of throat infection/cold so I couldn't swallow water/medicine. Anyhow I'm happy with the results; I've been told I look younger/less rough. I flew back home after about 4 weeks and am currently going through the post operation orthodontics. I just thought that after reading all the reviews in Purse forum, it is quite a time consuming and frustrating as in all the reviews are not too standardized without before and after picture. Your review is helpful but missing how much it was and before & after picture. I saw many of us are interested in two jaw surgery in this forum so thought that if we can leave a review as detail as possible, it will be very helpful for our community. Like we have to ask questions multiple times to finally identify the quote, doctor and etc. Can we please write the reviews on the app possibly so we can easily check which treatment, price, doctor name, and clinic? I am literally building up the data for records of reviews now on my excel spreadsheet, seriously hell, it takes so much time and no photos!!!! So just thought that everybody writes the review systematically on Charmfidence the app, can be beneficial to all of us. Of course, I am happy to share my reviews once done with my treatments.. Especially bad experience reviews. I just hope that app does not take out the negative review but should be okay if we write based on fact with objective photos lol( if photo says botched, what else can they do ?) Just little initiative. I am also interested in face contouring and jaw surgery-related and nose, the photos are very important but it is difficult to check here. have to dig out so many old posts. argh. would be nice for people to write there and just can click to see and we all can save if possible.. let me know your thoughts haha

Did you have braces first or surgery first with no braces? Also, did you identify your orthodontist in your home country beforehand and have him/her coordinate with Dr. Yoon? Or are you planning to start interviewing and deciding on your orthodontist after surgery? Lastly, did Dr. Yoon use computer imaging to show you what you would look like before the surgery? I’m trying to figure out how to work this out logistically. Thanks so much again for your info!
