I’m planning to get rhinoplasty in Seoul this winter. I was thinking of staying for 10 days and booking my consultations all on day 1 then doing the surgery on day 2. I’m worried I might not be able to get the surgery date on the second day. What if the clinics don’t have room until let’s say 4 or 5 days later? Then I will have to change my flight and extend my stay which will cost a lot of money. How did most of you guys here coordinate and plan out your trip so perfectly? Not sure if this a dumb question or not lol but does anyone have any insights?

Hey kay9999!! Clinics usually ask you to pay certain amount of surgery cost (like 10% in most places) as a deposit to save your surgery date. If you're sure that you want to go with a certain clinic then I would recommend you to put the deposit down first to secure your spot? And make sure they tell you how refund works for deposit payments!!

if u can extend 4-5 days, i would say book your trip for 15 days,
you can get ensuite room in airbnb for $15 per night so it is quite affordable to stay.
i would avoid deposit as it limits your choices.
i guess "asap surgery date" depends on high season or not, i got mine 2 days after consultation with Hyundai in mid Sept.

I'd say ideal is staying 2 more weeks after surgery is done.

2 weeks would be ideal and less stressful. But 10 days isn’t impossible.

I booked for 10 days, had my top 3 clinic choice consults on the day I arrived and had my surgery on day 2. I didn't want to put down a deposit because it makes your bargaining power weak. I did multiple surgeries so I knew my chances of getting next day surgery was higher since I'm spending more. Most clinics are super accommodating and will find a way to make it work in those 10 days. Stitches of the nose go out at day 7 and then you’re basically good to fly back home.

may I ask if you went through the process with eunogo? Im thinking about going to korea in november to have my consultations done but I dont have enough vacation days left to have the procedure done as well so I'm thinking about coming back in april to go through with everything. and I was considering eunogo for the consultation part...

Nope, I didn't feel like agencies add value except for translation. Plus my top 3 all had fluent speaking Eng consultants in house already. Booking consults is very easy, the hard part is choosing the right clinics. Which agencies also don't really help, since they'll mostly endorse their partners only. I'd recommend joining the kakao talk chats where you can read and talk about experiences with ppl.
