hellowkitty Posted October 1, 2019 Posted October 1, 2019 Hey there! I’m a 27 years old Asian female and this is a thread of my plastic surgery experience that I had back in October 2018. I am not a good writer but I hope this review can help any of you who are interested in the same procedures I’ve done. A little bit of my background; I had squared jaw meanwhile protruding cheekbones and weak chin are hereditary in my family. These three components made me look masculine, older than my real age and it reduced my confidence as I grew up. At this point of time, I already knew about facial bone reduction surgery and thinking about my own bone is being cut did sent me shiver. But again, this is my face, if I am not the one who takes the chance, then who will? So with this new perspective I had, I started to save up some money for the procedures and having some consultation with several clinics in Seoul, because I knew South Korea is leading in plastic surgery and the best clinics are located in the capital city. And after taking into some considerations, I decided to have my jaw reduction, cheekbones reduction and chin surgery in Opera Plastic Surgery. The reason why I chose this clinic was because they responded me in a detail and kind manner, during both offline and online consultation, the price they offered was also affordable, compared to other clinics I talked with. On top of that, I really liked the doctor’s first impression during the consultation, how he was being so calm as he explained everything precisely. It gave me the assurance kind of feeling which I think that’s the most important thing for each patient to feel before they undergo the knife.After surgery The after surgery itself was not as painful as I thought it would be, just the anesthesia effect such as super dry throat made me unable to sleep well through the night. 3-4 Days post operation was the worst because my face looked so puffy even my lips were swollen. I got so worried because no one has ever told me that my lips will look like I’ve gotten a few cc of filler injection. I kept asking the consultant about my swelling, thankfully she explained to me patiently that inflammation is a very normal thing to happen after surgery and it will go down in 1-2 weeks.1 Month post Operation The consultant was right. On day 14th post operation, the major swelling had disappeared and during that period, to keep my mouth cave clean, I diligently gargled with the disinfectant liquid given. I also needed to wear the compression bandage for 10 days but after 10 days, I could use it only when I was at home. When I visited the clinic for the final check-up and the doctor showed me the before and after CT results, I got amazed by the transformation. I was informed that I could start to brush my teeth on the week three, but using a kid's tooth brush instead. At this point, I was already happy with the visible result but of course, I’d wait for an even better outcome!3-6 Months post Operation During this time, I could see a huge difference already between my before and after face on the mirror. My face's way slimmer and proportional with a softer impression but the consultant told me that the minor swelling will keep on going down up to 1 year so until that time, my face will still change a little by a little. I could open my mouth wider and start to eat other food except the very chewy or hard ones. As the doctor also told me to exercise my mouth by opening them bigger, so when I had leisure time at home, I tried to stretch open my mouth carefully for a few minutes. Since the third month, I also could feel that my senses were coming back around my lower face area. After 6 months passed, I think I could not ask for a better result. At first I was only thinking about feminizing my masculine face but now I even got to know how does it feel to be pretty. I’m really thankful to Opera who has helped me in going through the procedure, to the doctor and team who performed a safe surgery on me, and to the consultant who constantly took care of me. I never waited for anything as patiently as I waited for my plastic surgery result and I was and still really happy that the outcome worth the waiting.
