unknown0123 Posted October 9, 2019 Posted October 9, 2019 Hi there, I have a class 2 malocclusion, and developed an asymmetrical face due to imbalancement of my bite over the years. I've been planning to have an orthognathic surgery in Korea. But based on what I have read, orthognathic surgery is considered a medical procedure; not a cosmetic one. Are these clinics: ID, Grand, Regen, etc. only perform cosmetic procedures? Let's mention 'Regen', do they perform such thing? And how much (quoted)? Addionally, how much is the approximate cost for dental implants and braces?
cfcrestinpeace Posted October 14, 2019 Posted October 14, 2019 I got my two-jaw with Dr.Oh from Regen earlier this year and can say one thing, he fixed not only functional problems, but also aesthetics. I used to have problems with chewing and even pronunciating some sounds, now they’re all gone. He solves issues with jaws but not teeth, yet he can advice what can or should be done after he’s over with his part. The total I paid was around 20 mil krw, as far as I remember, but I got two-jaw with genioplasty together
unknown0123 Posted October 14, 2019 Author Posted October 14, 2019 Oh, thank you. I thought no one would reply ... maybe there will but who knows when. By the way, haven't you wore a braces before and after the surgery? And, do you live in Korea?
ginochon Posted October 15, 2019 Posted October 15, 2019 Most of the clinics in Korea that perform two jaw surgery are both for functional and aesthetic looks. You may need braces depending on the clinic you visit! I recommend ID or The Face Dental for two jaw surgery!
