bakeandstitch Posted November 3, 2019 Posted November 3, 2019 This is my first surgery experience and I’m not good in talking long, yet I hope there’s something useful can be taken from this review. I saw many good words about medium sized clinics here recently : opera, namu, uvom, wannabe etc and one of them that got my attention was Opera. This clinic has been pretty well-known for its breast and face bone surgery but there is not a lot information about their rhinoplasty. So I decided to have an online consultation with them for rhino (I had a low nose bridge and bulbous tip with wide alar) and I liked how they were being detailed and pretty responsive in answering my questions. I got quoted for rhinoplasty with silicone, bulbous tip correction and alarplasty and I loved their price that fit my budget so well. I proceeded to visit their clinic last month and made a decision to have my surgery there. Dr. Kim, their rhino specialist was being very kind and realistic towards the expected result of the surgery during the consultation and their english interpreter was also so sweet and helpful while assisting me during my visit there. She helped me through the consultation and assisted me patiently before and after the surgery. She even sat right next to me in the patient room and held my hand for a while as I felt pretty dizzy right after the surgery due to the anesthesia. The whole surgery process went well and I am who originally not that good in tolerating pain would say that the pain from rhino was only 3-4 out of 10. It's just the difficulty in breathing due to the stuffs inside my nose and a little bit of bleeding that got me uncomfortable through the night. Yet fortunately the cotton pack could be removed right on the next day after surgery. I was like "thanks God" I got all of my stitches removed on day 7th postop and Dr. Kim checked my condition to make sure everything is good. It is almost 1 month now and I still have some swelling but the shape of the nose already satisfies me as it is not only slimmer than before but it also suits my whole face proportion. I'm going to wait for 3-6 months for an update review after the major swelling is gone, possibly with a picture. See y'all then!
triceracera Posted November 6, 2019 Posted November 6, 2019 Hey there! I'm considering Opera for rhino as well. Can I chat you via dm?
bakeandstitch Posted January 17, 2020 Author Posted January 17, 2020 Happy new year everyone! So it’s been 3 months post OP and I’m gonna do a short update about my nose condition. On the first month, I thought my nose didn’t have that much of swelling but apparently it did lol compared to the recent shape, the first month nasal tip was kind of bulbous and the nasal bridge was way much thicker than now. When I touched the tip back then, it felt a bit stiff and now, it feels way more natural as if I haven’t done anything on my nose. I’m still very careful not to bump my nose though everything has been going well so far. No soreness, no pain. The incision sites also heal very well, scars are looking much less visible than the first few weeks. I’m not expecting much more swelling to be reduced now but I’m still gonna wait until 6 months to see the final result. B/a pics will be posted then. Wish me luck!
