modelss Posted December 1, 2019 Posted December 1, 2019 Hello everyone! Last week I posted before my surgery about how I am a professional model and decided to get thigh liposuction at 365mc in Seoul. I had my surgery last Tuesday and it went very well! Let me tell you about my surgery day and the recovery process. My review is not promoted by 365mc and is my complete honest opinion meant to inform those of you who may be curious in getting liposuction. SURGERY DAY: Before having liposuction you can not eat or drink for 8 hours before the surgery. Do not wear nail polish! If you take vitamins please avoid these the day before. If you take birth control pills, avoid them the morning of the surgery but take after the surgery. Make sure you shave off all hair in the surgery area. I woke up thirsty and went immediately to 365mc. When I arrived, they weighed me and checked my BMI one last time. I paid for my procedure in cash. I was then shown to my recovery room so I could change my clothing and lock my personal items into the storage by my bed. I put on nipple covers, special surgery thong underwear, and a robe. Remember to bring warm socks with you for the procedure! Then I got photos taken one last time. After this, I went to a consultation room to meet my doctor (Dr. Kim Daegyum). My doctor is a specialist and one of the best in Korea. He specializes on leg liposuction and has done almost 10,000 procedures. We reviewed my before photos one last time and then he used a red marker to mark lines all over my legs. He explained I would have 6 small incisions. 2 below my back panty line and 4 on the front. Because I model, he made sure to hide them well. After this I went to the surgery room. There is a small sanitation room to walk through and then when you make it inside, the staff will ask you to go to the restroom one last time. The next room is the surgery room. Once inside, I took off my robe and applied a hair cap, so they could apply disinfecting solution all over my surgery area. It is a red liquid that looks similar to blood. I then laid face down on the surgery table. The staff connected an IV to my hand/arm area. They then strapped me down to the table so I could not move during the surgery. 365mc uses a light anesthesia opposed to a more dangerous deep anesthesia. The anesthesiologist came in and gave me medicine in my IV drip. Everyone was very supportive (especially a nurse named Hyunna Kim) at this time and I quickly fell asleep. RECOVERY: I woke up a few hours later in the recovery room. I felt dizzy and cold at first. I remember shivering a lot due to my body being in shock. Either that, or it is just how my body responds to anesthesia. Everyone responds to it differently. It took me awhile to open my eyes and come to my senses. Once I woke up completely, I just wanted to go to the bathroom. You will already be wearing your compression garment when you wake up. I rang a bell attached to my bed and the nurse came to help me. You should be very careful when you first get up. You will be very dizzy and need help. If your have your thighs done, your compression garment will have a hole that allows you to go to the restroom without taking it off. A little tip: you will not be able to sit on the toilet for a few days afterwards because of the pain. You need to use your arm strength. You will also not be able to sit down in chairs. I came back to my recovery bed and laid down. The nurse brought me plain rice porridge and orange juice. Please drink the orange juice at least! I felt SO much better after drinking it. You will then be pushed to walk as soon as you are not dizzy. You need to walk to recover quickly and reduce the swelling! It made my legs feel a lot less painful also. This is an outpatient procedure so you will be able to walk and leave after the surgery. Have someone come and pick you up. For me, my husband came and we went back home. I tried to walk as much as possible to reduce swelling and pain. If you lay down for too long, your legs will feel like they are on fire. If you walk, the pain goes away. The first 2 days were the worst for me. I felt nauseous and tired. I had persistent pain in my legs and the swelling was very bad. It was impossible to sit down so I had to either lay down completely or walk. I forced myself to eat, drink water, walk, and take my medicine. I am SO happy I did! It is only 5 days after the surgery and I feel great. I read that after surgery you will need to eat a lot of protein and avoid salt. Because I felt sick, I decided to drink protein shakes and green smoothies (both without added sugar or salt). I feel this helped me a lot but everyone is different so do what works for you. Salt will make your swelling WAY worse so please avoid it after surgery (this means no eating at restaurants). It is also important to note: while liposuction removes all but 20% of fat cells in the area, you will still need to eat healthy and stay active afterwards. If you go back to former eating habits, you will just gain the weight back in other areas. Eat whole natural foods after the surgery. Cook at home and limit eating at restaurants. Avoid desserts, processed foods, and sugary drinks. It is important to understand that liposuction is not a weight-loss procedure but is meant to give you shape. You may need to change to a healthier lifestyle after the procedure to prevent weight gain which would spoil your results. Also, do not drink alcohol or smoke 1 week before the procedure and 1 month afterwards. Overall, I am VERY happy that my procedure went well. There were no complications and it took me about 1 hour. This is due to my surgeon (Dr. Kim Daegyum) being highly experienced. He is considered a specialist who works quickly to limit the patient's pain. He removed 1000cc of fat from my already slim frame. Everyone working at 365mc is very kind and helpful! They supported me through the process and made me feel comfortable. I knew that the hospital was the best. Everything was well organized and very clean. A lot of my celebrity and model friends had surgery here with good results. They are the only liposuction specialty hospital in Korea that have been certified by the Korean government Ministry of Health and Welfare. All the doctors are very qualified and specialized in a certain body part. There are over 5 different anesthesiologists working for 365mc and always some on duty 24 hours a day. Before the surgery, they examine with ultrasound to see how much fat you have and also run blood tests to determine if you are healthy enough. The surgery room seemed very professional and clean in my opinion. In over 16 years of practice, 365mc has not had any significant medical issues or deaths. They operate over 1000 cases of different body parts PER MONTH. That is over 12,000 per year! The hospital also sees a lot of revision patients that got botched surgery elsewhere. That also made me feel like the hospital was the best. I can say that I have had a positive experience with this hospital and if you are interested, please go to 365mc! I want anyone who is interested to be fully safe a supported during the process! It is only 5 days after and I can already see the shape. There is swelling so I hope to update with better results soon. Please see my before and after photos below!!
