Hi there! So a little bit about me, I got my primary rhinoplasty in the Philippines 2 years ago when I was 24 (I am 26 now). I am Filipino but grew in America and have always been self-conscious about my 'flat nose'. I only really looked into RealSelf and Instagram the first time around so I ended up going with an ig famous doctor in the Philippines whose work is very obviously fake. I should have listened to my gut but hindsight is 20/20. So I really want to do things right this time around with research!

The main thing I don't like about my nose is that my Goretex implant is very obvious in some angles and has a "toothbrush handle" look - aka very fake and you can see the outline that is pretty straight and rectangular. It doesn't match my face at all and also I don't like how my columnella was brought down. Lastly, my tip is over projected in my side profile and I feel is way too large.

For my revision, I wanted more of that button nose or dolly nose look. I'd like more of a slope instead of just a straight line for my bridge. I was wondering if anyone has been through or is going through something similar of having a Goretex implant removed. I am afraid bc I hear tissue ingrowth is common. I am open to having it replaced with a smaller implant but I don't mind my natural profile. I wish I never had the implant in the first place but I was very naive and ill-informed. Please let me know if anyone has experience in this situation!

Hi! I haven't done rhino yet but did some research for my surgery later on.
My friend recommended Shimmian clinic in Korea, she said dr. Jung is super famous in revision surgeries.
But her friend did the surgery from dr. Hyun since when she looked into his work she thought it's more natural than other clinics and dr. Jung, the other doctor in this clinic.

And also this clinic is specialized just in rhino for more than 25 years and blah blah..but the most important thing is the doctor's work rite, I also asked the English staff to show me some works of him(through facebook), and those were dolly looks as you want. And my friend told me dr. Hyun graduated from the highest medical school in Korea (Seoul national university) and he was a summa cum laude.

It's a small clinic with a comparatively high price but I almost made my mind up with this clinic because of the safety reason. And my friend told me dr. Hyun's consultation was really detailed, he achieved everything she asked before the surgery.
Oh, and my friend also did the surgery with Goretex, she said this clinic doesn't use silicon. So I guess they are the experts for this ingredient!? hope this will be helpful for you )

Such a shame. I didn't know Shimmian has a bad reputation on this forum, I started this not long ago.
I just wanted to share my friend's experience of success in rhino, wanted to be helpful since I'm also anxious abt choosing the clinic.
It's not astroturfing, it doesn't feel very pleased to hear that :/

I got mine done from Daejeon, Korea as well and I think I really need a revision for my full nose, including my nose alar.
I be sitting on purseforum looking for a good clinic for my revision. AND since its a second time I am more scared and concerned.
