neur1ps Posted December 25, 2019 Posted December 25, 2019 Does anyone know any docs with a good aesthetic eye and skill? I don’t want to have cookie cutter that look like every other Asian with PS. I want my features enhanced to fit me. a lot of docs I consulted on KakaoTalk said I should know what I want, beyond having a less bulbous nose. They recommended things like, having a bridge. The thing is, the US docs I went to (Tae Ho Kim in NYC and Aaron Kosins in Newport Beach, some of the best) know what to do once they see my face, but I’m afraid they’re too conservative. Eg Dr Kim said my bridge was high enough and I only needed a more defined tip, but that my natural double eyelids were not strong with some sight ptosis and he could fix that, but he said it looks ok. However, the quote I got from both docs was about 20K USD, for a primary rhino and DES, for probably worse aftercare than some korean clinics... Are there docs who, in addition to skill, have incredible aesthetic eye that enhances your face instead of putting a cookie cutter nose eg whatever style is trending, and even discourages you if they think something is not right for you or what you have looks great currently? Eg Lisa from Blackpink has a slight ptosis and it looks so good. I am looking into Banobagi, Uvom, and NAMU currently for Feb surgery, and if anyone has any advice it would be greatly appreciated.
uk2019 Posted December 26, 2019 Posted December 26, 2019 20k USD sounds so expensive! What makes you interested in those clinics? I've heard of Banobagi but not the others
canadazz Posted December 26, 2019 Posted December 26, 2019 I've been in the exact same situation as you when deciding what clinic to choose, so I get where you are coming from. IMO you should go with a clinic that has the most experienced doc for your case. Just cuz clinics have good reviews on this forum or websites with fancy marketing doesn't necessarily mean they are gonna give you the result you are looking for. Going through an agency like Seoul Guide Medical is the better option. They helped me choose my clinic and set up all my appointments for clinic consultations before I decided (I got recommended a total of 7! I only ended up having consultations with 5 though - Banobagi, Answer, View, JK and View). Seoul Guide Medical only refered me to the top doctors and clinics, so I went with the Dr. Min Choi who is a nose specialist! He even does difficult revision rhinoplasty cases which was reassuring. SGM also helped me negotiate the price once I visited the clinic which is a big bonus!
neur1ps Posted December 26, 2019 Author Posted December 26, 2019 Others had great experiences here specifically for rhino. Also looking at Hyundai, NANA and Hanabi now lol
chocolove712 Posted December 27, 2019 Posted December 27, 2019 20K sounds so expensive!! You should look into Dr.Cha's work at Wannabe. I didn't get my eyes done but I had my primary rhinoplasty done by him and I'm satisfied with my results so far!! I could tell he really took the time to explain what is and isn't best for me. He's so kind as well! Definitely enjoyed my experience there.
birdieheidi Posted January 9, 2020 Posted January 9, 2020 Hi there! I think the reason why the doctors told you you needed to know exactly what you wanted was because they got too many clients complaining after the surgery that the results weren’t 100% as imagined. A lot of clients, even though they did see improvements after the surgery, had specific requirements they did not mention beforehand thus unfulfilled. Long story short, when you go in for a consultation, ask the doctors to photoshop the result for you. So you can see if that’s what you wanted.
