I am a south east asian girl, currently studying Korean Language in a university in South Korea. I had ever thought about getting a boob job done long, long time ago when I was a teenager but I never seriously planned to undergo a surgery to pursue my dream as I thought my parents would not let me to do so.

But then last year, I got a chance to study abroad in Korea, a country that is well-known for its drama, idols and cosmetic surgery. I thought that this is gonna be the best time for me to improve my look considering that I do not need to prepare any accommodation and stuffs. So I talked to my mom about this plan (expecting nothing tbh) and I was surprisingly glad for her open mindedness.

Breast surgery is not a small procedure indeed and my mom always knew that I've never felt confident with my appearance because despite of being tall (hereditary from my dad's family), I had almost no curve (sadly, hereditary from my mom's :"). Her elder sister's daughter (my cousin) has hers done last year in Korea as well. The surgery result gave her a better impact, more confidence and overall physical appearance improvement, so my mom gave me the permission to undergo the same procedure too.

I visited Opera, the clinic where my cousin had her boob job done. I did do some research about some other clinics too but after having the consultation, I decided to just go on with them.

The consultation with the consultant was proceeded in Korean but I had the English interpreter beside me to translate everything. I felt pretty nervous because this is my first plastic surgery related consultation ever but both of them were really kind that made me feel at ease.

I was shown 2 types of implant (micro textured and smooth) from 3 different brands, Sebbin, Bella Gel and Mentor. The Korean consultant asked me about the size I desire and as I wasn't really sure, so I told her that I want a full C. She wrote down every information about my condition (my height and weight, am I under any kind of medication or not, do I have any preferable incision site etc), then connected me with the surgeon.

The surgeon measured my breasts, informing me about the plus and minus points about each implant and incision site. He answered every question I had calmly but precisely which made me and my roommate who assisted me feel good to trust him. And when he recommended me the smooth type of implant, I was like, yaas, that's what I wanted too lol Both Sebbin and Mentor have smooth surfaced implant but as I was more familiar with Mentor, so I chose Mentor. I was asked if I want more projection or fuller outcome, and I said yes, so Mentor X-tra became my final choice.

Surgery was booked 3 days after the consultation. I paid the deposit payment on the next day after the consultation day, having my blood and urine test in the clinic and heading to an internal disease clinic with my roommate to get some checkups done.

The surgery day was started with some paper works. The interpreter asked me about when did the last time I had my meal and water, my alcohol limit, do I smoke or not etc. I got my pictures taken (front, 45 degrees and 90 degrees) and met the surgeon once more.

He made the design on my breast and armpit because finally, I chose the incision to be on the armpit, and I got my picture taken once more with the marks on my skin.

I went to my roommate who waited for me in the lobby. She hugged me and wished me luck for the last time before I get into the operation room.

I laid down on the bed and met the anesthesiologist. She checked my condition and after having some injections on my arm and calves, everything turned blurry and dark.

What I knew next was the surgery is already done. I cried immediately, unreasonably, which I guess from being emotional and I had to ensure the interpreter that it's not because of the pain.

The nurse and interpreter led me slowly to the patient's room where I stayed at for around 4 hours after the operation.

I fell asleep for a while and woke up when I heard my roommate calling my name. It was pretty late already when she and her boyfriend came to pick me up.

My sleep was uncomfortable during the first night with the bandage and blood drain on but gladly the nurse removed them on the next morning when I revisited Opera for my first check up.

My arms felt so sore within the first couple of days even though I lifted almost literally nothing. But after 2 weeks passed, I become more adapted and the sore no longer bothers me.

I’m a little bit over 1 month post OP, still have to wear the correction bra 24/7 and I was told that I can change into a sport bra in the second or third month. So far I do not have any complain or discomfort and I’m happy with the result. I tried to put on my regular bra and wear some of my body fit tops. I could not stop to smile. My figure looks way much better with some curve on my front body and I already gain the confidence to wear something tighter than an oversize T-shirt or hoodie.

I can’t wait for the day when I can take off my correction bra and put on some pretty dresses with low neck. That’s my thread for my breast augmentation. Will likely post more when I hit the 6 months post operation. For anyone who plans to have a boob job, I wish you the best of luck and as it was Christmas yesterday, I'd like to wish you all Merry Christmas!

Thanks! I chose it because I think the underarm fold (?) will hide the scar better. I don't want the scar to be too visible. The stitches were taken out on the 7 days post operation and within 3-4 weeks, it's completely healed.

Yes they do surgery with motiva, but they don't have the sample as most patients chose Sebbin or Mentor. I didn't plan to go with motiva either because I know it will be more pricey :3

Did you ask about the price for motiva? You can let me know via DM if you don't mind

Not every month but I came for 7 days, 2 weeks, 1 month follow ups and will visit Opera again on the 3rd and 6th months.

Yes, the doctor said so. My arms were so sore right after the surgery and I couldn't move them too much but the incision healed within the first 2-3 weeks. The soreness was reduced a lot during that time too.
