did you contact them about that issue? I'm pretty sure they'd offer you a revision for free

Oh yeah trust me im 5 or 6 weeks post op i havent gone more than 3 days without sending them distressed messages about what was done. I think they think im overreacting or maybe its the person im talking to but they have completed avoided of admitting fault and ignoring my messages pointing out the discrepancies in what was asked vs done + the overall poor experience. But they have been responding to my questions on understanding the surgery report. Theyve asked me to wait 1 year to judge results and thats pretty much it...

I asked about revision before i left and they told me its usually just anesthetic fees but im a little worried because i used septal cartilage for primary not rib and im positive Dr Lee would need rib to restore my bridge and tip cartilage he removed and derotate my tip...

So im trying to stay calm since i cant really do anything for like 9 to 11 months...

You are seriously overracting. Your nose looks really good. Look at the difference from the photo from the bottom. Its like night and day. I think a lot of people have a certain image in their head of what they want their body part to look like after the surgery and the moment it doesnt look 100% identical to their vision they say its botched. Calm down, yours is a success, well at least to my eyes

I think you and alot of people are missing the point that i did not consent to the aggressive reduction and changes and what was performed was not what was verbally consented or asked for.

As i said i was not botched, however i asked Dr Lee specifically not to rotate the tip 3x including while on the operation table. On day 3 after asking why its so high he told me he overrotated the tip. After telling him i liked my wide nostrils and denying his request to alter my alar 3x he altered it for aesthetic reasons and i was not informed until after that it is irreversible. After telling him i liked it from the side, he rasped down my bridge without asking and without asking for it to be done. He also trimed cartilage from my tip without informing me before hand.

If i asked him to make these changes sure id be satisfied, but i did not and i did not want these changes. I wanted my assymtry fixed via deviated septum correction and a bit support for my tip. Thats it.

Not only that but the alar base is healing horribly and looks totally operated on. There is also a piece of cartilage pointing out of my tip that is becoming more noticable as swelling resolves.

This is so wrong. He completely ignored your needs as if it didn't matter....he kept on forcing you to change your mind and persisted on the looks he preferred when it's not even his face doing the surgery. I'm really sorry you had to meet a doctor like that. If you ever do revision there, VIP shouldn't charge you since it was their fault.

If
If that red bump is really cartilage and not acne, you need to go back and visit the doctor. That looks like that should not happen where it is poking towards the outside. Mine pokes a bit from the inside, but it is minor.

I'm sure it is going to take some time to get your head around the changes and the communication issues you have experienced, but I think you are likely to get a really nice result. Not sure about the cartilage, but your photos look like an improvement to me, even with the swelling, which is still considerable.

omg I`m so sorry for you coz I`m going through the same ordeal after surgery at VIP. All I wanted was a bit of tip refinement and my bridge to be raised slightly. He went overboard - very high bridge, high radix, overprojected tip. Chloe and Joan talked me into doing a midface augmentation which made it even worse. The result is absolutely ridiculous and looks fake. I had a beautiful profile before now I look like I have a ski slope on my face. The midface augmentation made me look like a joker everytime I smiled. Of course they kept reassuring me that this was just the swelling and that everything would settle after sometime but all lies. 1.5 yrs post and still can`t smile, the results look unnatural, the nose is so hard, I can`t remember the last time I was able to blow my nose comfortably. Make sure Chloe and Mrs. Kim (the office manager) don`t gaslight you into paying for a revision. I have heard from other patients from VIP that they also had results they didn`t ask for and they tried to charge them for the revision but they refused and only paid for the GA. The audacity of this clinic! I`m beginning to think they give these kind of results so that they can charge people for the revision.

Wow im glad its not just me going insane and thinking this is how things are supposed to be. Dr Lee posted photos of an asian person i met there on his personal facebook of her results, and it honestly looks ridiculous to me. The bridge looks so obviously fake and way to wide for her face. Im honestly glad i didnt let him do rib rhinoplasty on me, i didnt have an asian nose with no bridge /projection/septum, i can only imagine what fantasy he wouldve carved onto my face if he had unlimited cartilage via rib...

I was talking to Dani before but i switched to Chloe because Dani is to sweet and i feel bad complaining to her...

How did your revision go if youve had it already? I honestly dont think i trust Dr Lee to touch my face nose again. Especially because now im sure hell require rib cartage to reconstruct the parts i didnt want him to augment... if i ever have a revision itll be with an in states specialist

lmao  I`m sure his fingers were itching the whole time.
Don`t fall for Dani & Chloe`s good cop/bad cop routine. They`ve perfected this game.
The revision improved very little or I suspect Dr. Lee didn`t do much. I`m currently looking for a rhino specialist to undo this mess but most surgeons are reluctant coz I had full rib.

Ive read all revisions Dr Lee has done in his own work have been with ear cartilage which is very weak and not good for major improvements. Considering i now want my nose lengthen (tip derotate) and the bridge restored to its previous radix/height, ear cartilage definetly would not suffice. Besides i dont even think i would want him to try with rib if he offered. I just dont trust him anymore

@orangeifi hello how are you? I’m also from california and did my primary rhinoplasty with Dr. Myung Ju Lee of VIP. I’m almost close to 1 year post op. Hang in there you still look swollen. It will eventually deswell. How many weeks/ months are you post op? Looks like your nostrils are even now, which is nice but I could tell that you’re still swollen. My nose looks natural too and also did the rib cartilage rhinoplasty with midface augmentation but my bridge is slightly slanted and nostrils are uneven, I contacted them and they said they’ll fix it. I’m thinking of getting it fix just unsure if I’ll go there again or look for another ps clinic. My main concern is my tip looking like a bird which doesn’t suits my asian features uneven nostrils and slightly uneven bridge. But yours seems fine it’s just swollen right now, hang in there hun.
