Huge Problem after Double Eyelid Surgery

Recommended Posts

Hi. Its my first post here. Thought someone could help me out.

I had double eyelid surgery over 10 years ago. As soon as I came out and saw my eyes, I knew I had made a mistake. They looked so different. But as time went on, I got used to it. Then I discovered circle lenses. When I put them on, I found that I actually liked my eyes.

Without the circle lenses and without makeup, I think my eyes don’t look good. And now I think I know the reason why I didn’t like the results of my double eyelid surgery. It’s because my irises are too small, but the surgery exposed the white part of the eyes more.

So my problem is this. I am okay with how my eyes look, but only when I wear circle lenses. So I am wondering do I have the revision surgery in hopes of making my eyes more attractive even without the circle lenses? Or do I just accept that I will be only happy with my eyes when I wear the circle lenses?

This realization has come years and years from studying my own face. If I knew that I had small irises, I would have never the eyelid surgery done in the first place.

Yeah.. they probably have to fix my ptosis.. but now I am wondering, what’s the point? I’m not botched, but I am just not completely satisfied.

So do I just accept it and live with it? Isn’t that easier, then going through the revisional surgery, anxiously waiting for the swelling to go down while wondering if I made a huge mistake and made it look worse than before?

These days I just want a simple life, I don’t want to go on the emotional rollercoaster that comes with surgery.
