So, please no suggestions like “you are still recovering!” – No, I’m NOT! No comments like “maybe it’ll get better with time and you should just wait a bit more” – again, it’s been an entire YEAR! And nothing like “you are probably still swollen” – I’m not! So, my original problem was in low bridge (although it was straight, because of low bridge my face looked “sunken” don’t really know how to explain, hope people with the same face structure can understand me) and too wide nostrils. When I discussed my main concerns with my surgeon, I specifically pointed out that I’m very satisfied with how my tip looks, as it was pointy just as I like. The result after my surgery was not high enough bridge (like I’ve never proceeded any surgery) and most importantly – looking down tip! At least, he could make my nostrils look as I expected. BUT this downturned tip is literally killing me! I’m looking for a good surgeon to proceed a revision since I’m very disappointed with the result! Moreover, my surgeon is deeply convinced that he did great job and that now my nose looks way better than before. Anyways, we agreed on compensation and I just left him. I’m open for any suggestions as was told that Korea is the best place to proceed any plastic surgery. Thanks!
drances Posted February 21, 2020 Posted February 21, 2020 Did your surgeon put cartilage on your nose tip? I've heard if the silicon on your nose bridge is too high or too long or the size of cartilage on the nose tip is not proper the nose tip might go down because of some reasons; maybe your nose bridge and tip is not balanced or just bcs of the gravity thingy. I've also got my nose botched at the states so I flew over to Korea for the revision. I got consultation at Banobagi, View and DA which are the major clinic in Seoul and I decided to do my revision at DA. In the light of numerous before and after photo of rhino revision, I thought their doctors are quite skillful and in fact during the offline consultation the doc pointed out my nose problem even tho I didn't tell them specifically and he said he could sorted out it and actually they did. But if you put price on the top priority then I recommend you to go other clinic bcs the price was the most expensive than any other clinic. Considering my result, however I highly recommend DA. FYI I got my rhino revision from Dr. Kim Joo Yeon.
meloncat Posted February 21, 2020 Posted February 21, 2020 Sounds like pollybeak deformity. Had explained to me based on what needed to be done to my nose that I would need a columella strut for support. Find a surgeon who works in revisions.

Wanna tell you the only thing I can tell - he's quite popular in bay area and that was the actual reason why went to his clinic, regretted hundred million times, believe me!

missnomer Posted March 30, 2020 Posted March 30, 2020 Hmm.. I hope you find the right surgeon to do your revision surgery. It must be devasting going through all that pain and recovery period to have to go through it again. Out of GNG, Nana, and ID, try to find one that has a doctor who specializes in rhinoplasty and revision rhinoplasty. Why don't you try asking for some pictures of other patients who had similar problems as you or had gotten revision rhinoplasty?
maklyneena Posted April 9, 2020 Author Posted April 9, 2020 As someone recommended, I also took a look at few reviews on RealSelf and couldn’t miss Banobagi. Found several Dr.Lee works and really liked the outcome. And btw, I discovered some shocking facts about ID (someone posted here that there were death cases?) and GNG (have seen lot of negative posts here ). I didn’t know they were blacklisted, now my eyes are open wider. So far, Nana seems ok and I also added Banobagi as a must-visit. Going to Seoul in end of May. Wish me a good luck!
gmcnm19 Posted April 9, 2020 Posted April 9, 2020 You can consider my rhino doctor. He's not at all mentioned on this forum, I did mine when I was very young. Highschool senior year I think. I didn't do much research back then, was just recommended to him by a Korean friend. It's been many years now. His website (beup.co.kr) is all in korean but he speaks perfect English. He seems to be a nose only doctor. My sister is also considering him for her revision because she likes my result so much.
