billywang6123 Posted April 7, 2020 Posted April 7, 2020 I am a bit confused as to what is the difference between the two because from the pictures I have seen, people who have a weak/"recessed chin" result in the look of protruding mouth look and vice versa. How do you really tell if you have a recessed chin or a protruding mouth (bi-maxillary protrusion)? Because the surgery to fix each of them vary significantly, for protruding mouth, people are recommended to do the popular Two Jaw surgery (highly invasive) while a recessed chin could be easy fixed with implant or genioplasty (non invasive). Maybe I am missing something but for me the appearance of the two issues is quite similar or the same. Could someone explain the difference?
