sassychic09 Posted November 5, 2010 Posted November 5, 2010 Why I pick Seoul, because more than 90% of the Korean people got eye and nose surgery. If you watch Korean movies, almost all of the female got their eyes and nose done. The think I like about it is it look so natural. Their eyes are big like babydoll and the nose is high and small. Plus the doctors there have tons of experience for Asian face, u just have to find the right one for u. In U.S. they don't do a "Revisional double eyelids" surgery. I also want a nostrils base reduction ONLY bec my bridge is high already but even the Asian doctor here in U.S. cost me the same price as getting the whole nose job done. That's crazy. Mine is only a 30 minutes procedure to narrow the nose holes and it's cost 4500 to do it in LA, Calif. So I take my chaces going to Seoul. No surgery is safe when you go under the knife.
guyguy26 Posted November 5, 2010 Posted November 5, 2010 I've just read so many botched surgery jobs that it's really xxxxxxxg sad. excuse my language but it upsets me. I've been screwed over by doctors when I was younger and i know how it feels. This is our face we are dealing with - something that everyone sees all the time. something we see every morning. I think price should be a very small factor in our decision and how good the doctor is to be the utmost importance. It's like buying a pair of jeans. you can buy 5 pairs for $100. Sure you have 5 but none of them really fit us well. Or we can buy 1 pair for $100. It's only 1 pair but it fits perfectly and we get complimented on them every day. I think if you saved $1-2,000 on a BOTCHED surgery it's not only losing money but something you have to live permanently with - it's just not worth it in the end. Rather spend a few extra now and be happy with my results for years than regret the decision I've made. Sure we may end up getting the same exact results on the saved job vs. the more expensive job but really... it's not a gamble i'm willing to take.
kain Posted November 5, 2010 Posted November 5, 2010 i think you missed the part where korean surgeons have more experience with asian faces than american surgeons and therefore she is more likely to have a better result with a korean surgeon
sassychic09 Posted November 5, 2010 Posted November 5, 2010 I agreed with you totally and rather paid high price and be safe. The surgery I wanted, in U.S. no one is doing it or have the experience to correct it. Doctors here do double eyelids surgery but not a revisional one. Trust me I do lots and lots of survey already. There is a very popular Asian doctor in LA. He said if you do a double eyelids, everything done is done and you can't do a revisional to fix from big creases to smaller. You can make it bigger but not smaller. In Korea the doctor are specialize in it because almost everyone there have either their eyes or nose done or both. I have double eyelids surgery done about 15 yrs ago and it's look good than some people but my creases are a little bigger for Asian eyes. Also my left eye the muscle is weaker the the right. The only way to see both of my eyes even as in deep and fold the same is when i put eye shadow on. But I don't want to wear eyes makeup all the time. I want a natural look like the Korean star. If U.S have a doctor that can fix it then I would rather pay more and surgery here.
elle-vee Posted December 25, 2010 Posted December 25, 2010 I have the same issue with a weaker muscle on my left eye. I was also thinking about going to Korea. When are you planning to go?

ccfee Posted May 26, 2011 Posted May 26, 2011 *bump* Hey Sassychick 09, are you still considering going to Korea for surgery? I'm thinking about ging this yr..
sassychic09 Posted May 29, 2011 Posted May 29, 2011 I still want to go this Fall 2011 but maybe there's a delay till next year. I'm not rushing in it because I can make only one trip to Korea and I want to survey and see which doctor/clinic is right and good for me. Double eyelids revision is hard to fix, so I want to make sure that doctor is good. But I think I'm going to Banobagi Clinic unless I find another good one. How about you? What kind of surgery are u planning to do again?
ccfee Posted May 29, 2011 Posted May 29, 2011 True, the eyes are the most important feature on your face plus you'd need your eyes to see. I'm actually in Australia and am thinking to fast track it to possibly July or end of this year, I also want to have my eyelids done just a particial incision? as I have double eyelids but just want to enhance them. I may just stay in the country to have this procedure done. I;m not quite sure myself as to which clinic I want to go to.. Are you only having your eyes done?
sassychic09 Posted May 31, 2011 Posted May 31, 2011 I need a revison on my eyes and a nostrils base reduction. Love to have both done at the same clinic but so far i can't find the same doctor do that. Maybe I go to Banobagi and 2 different doctors do 2 procedure on the same day.
cc-mademoiselle Posted August 1, 2011 Posted August 1, 2011 Hi Sassy and CC, I'm new to the forum and I'm planning to go in November of this year. I'm currently researching information about the clinics, doctors and procedures. Let me know if you want to go together. Thank you.
