shinyglittery Posted September 4, 2013 Posted September 4, 2013 I'm sorry but if you don't understand something, why do you bother chipping in? These kind of replies are really not helpful for those of us who are getting this surgery done, and ignorant opinions are not welcome~ And no, most doctors in the US don't do this and if they do they do it poorly because they have no experience in this surgery. Different surgeries are popular in different parts of the world, same goes for beauty ideals... Panache397 I haven't yet read your horror story but I'm about to... I'm so so SO sorry you had a bad experience with BK, I've heard a lot of horror stories from BK and I always feel really sorry for the people who had their surgeries botched, so sad  I've read these forums a lot before joining and what I've found out so far -in addition to avoiding BK and Wonjin and dr. Song Busunko like the plague- is that the surgeons that are the most experienced at v-line and other chin/jaw surgeries are Dr Oh from Banobagi and dr Park from OZ clinic. Chungdam U apparently also does a good job, hope that helps someone but don't trust me blindly, do your own research! Edit: I went back to read your story Panache and remembered I'd already read it, it was the story that made me sure I would never even consider that clinic though I'd read some bad stuff before... That's just horrible I'm so sorry that happened to you
esther11 Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 hen how long does the moderate pain last. -> usually first 3 days are the toughest How long after were you able to eat firm foods like steak. -> hmmm, depends on each person but I wouldn't go crazy on food in the first 2 weeks, before the stitches are taken out from the mouth Also, how much did you pay for this surgery if you had it at the BK clinic? -> usually mandible angle reduction cost range from 6~7 million for major PS in korea, not sure about BK though Were all the incisions through your mouth? -> along the fringe where your gums and cheek flesh meet How long after the surgery did you have to stay in Korea before flying home? -> minimum 7 days and 14 days if you want to remove the inner mouth stitches
seoul2013 Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 I am 16 days post op. I did zygoma, mandible, nose and double eye surgeries. I still eat soft foods like congee. I can only put 3 fingers to my mouth right now. Anyone knows when I can fully open my mouth and have a normal smile? I have to back to work in 4 days and dont think I can talk to my clients with my normal voice and Julia Roberts smile like before. Dont know what to tell them now.
jasmine369 Posted August 11, 2014 Posted August 11, 2014 Hi, how did your surgery go? I am planning to do sliding genioplasty in September and would like to know more about your experience.
kkim120 Posted August 11, 2014 Posted August 11, 2014 Tell your clients you had major dental work done. That's pretty acceptable and it would explain facial swelling. Anyway good luck! I hope you recover quickly and regain your voice!
jasmine369 Posted August 13, 2014 Posted August 13, 2014 Hey! can you tell us which doctor and clinic you went to? Are you satisfied with the results?
