best plastic surgery clinics in Korea

Recommended Posts

Wow. That was a thorough review! I hope you have an excellent trip in November! Good luck with your surgery! I was considering them, but the consultant insisted I use a silicone implant, which I don't believe I need (and a face to face consultation with another surgeon confirmed).. I guess my pictures were really bad.. hahaha
Maybe I'll reconsider... But adamant about not getting an implant. If you don't mind asking, by how much were you able to negotiate your price? I think I have to ask for a discount of like... 2mil KRW to meet my budget. LOL

Thanks for the explanation
So if I want to reduced the width of my cheek bones, I would want... malar reduction?

I just remembered... You've had zygoma reduction right? I know you're not satisfied with the results cause you're going in for a revision... what does it entail? What was your recovery like?

Hey, I'm so glad you've found your long lost cousin Iaan. I'll have words with him, he promised he would be at the last family reunion :nono:

No pain no gain! I'm still in pain and yet to see the gain :borg1:

Thank u!!. I wrote before I will update on my consultation experiences so I wanted to make sure I was as detailed as possible. I was only in seoul for 4 days to consult so I squeezed in my top 3 places. With Grand I was able to get a 2mil discount but only after a lot of negotiations. Jiwon really helped with stressing to the consultant that I was on a budget. I told her straight up how much I was willing and able to spend. I recall my initial quote was around 8.5mil krw but I wanted to keep the whole surgery around 6mil krw. After leaving the room twice to "get" permission for a discount...the consultant came back with 7mil krw and said if I was to book my surgery same day, she will get it down to 6.5mil and if i paid cash, then she can do 6mil krw But Grand was my 1st stop so I didn't want to commit without seeing the other clinics. It was a really tough decision. Grand stressed their plastic surgeons skills and that they were recognized by the govt as one of the top clinics visited by foreigners. On the other hand 365mc stressed to me their specialist doctors and the 2 new clinics they just opened in Japan. How many foreigners go to them...how many lipo surgeries they've performed. At the end, i just want the most experienced doctor to operate on me. Hopefully i made the right choice going with the specialist! Since there is no cash discount, I can use my credit card for the surgery which will be helpful so I don't have to bring so much cash! I was really worried about that!

I did ask Grand about nose job for my frd who wanted to get rid of her hump. They said the same thing to me about getting a small implant after filing down the hump. She explained it as to "hold up" the excess skin at that area after the hump is gone and to make sure it is smooth and nature. As It wasn't a surgery I would be doing, I hadn't done any research on the subject so I didn't know what to think about that answer.

Thanks hkphooey! I won't be in Seoul till towards the end of Nov. As much as I'm a bit worried about the Winter, I think that's the best time for lipo! Hopefully iaan or someone will brave the cold me with then! I booked hotel highland for 6 nights and for the rest of my stay, I found a short term apartment to rent which is near Seoul station. It's cheaper than any hotel in that area! Even cheaper than hotel highland!

6,000 usd does seem like alot to be asking for a primary nose job, unless it is something specific or unique about your case which required higher cost. Ever my revisional rhino which there quoted me isn't anywhere near that price point. However, the initial consultation bk quoted me 6500 usd using dermis as oppose to implant for the bridge of my nose. You factor in that it would've been my third rhino revision, the cost is quite reasonable. Dermis is quite costly but compare to any implant, its 100% natural with very, very low chance of infection. Very few surgeon to my knowledge have the nessesary skill to do dermis, and would avoid it due to technical skill required to harvest and shape the dermis. Having said that, if its only implant you seek for the bridge and nothing unique about your rhino, it should cost that much. I suggest you bargain as much as possible to get it down to the price that you wanted. I eventually were able to get the price down to 4.5 million won (using implant) for my revisional nose job, which ID quoted me the same for. But i might decide to go back to dermis although implant is still very much an option for me. In any case, i will only share my experience in a form of a journal entry when my site is launch. So make sure you visit my site to follow my journey.

Looking at her eye brings back memory of my own eyelid surgery that i had back in january this year. I notice that i had never shared my picture immediately after my eyelid surgery. So here is a picture i've taken the same day i was release from BK. oddly there weren't much swelling and the fold were quite symmetrical. I probably would be happy if my eyes remain this way forever ;)

The general rule is a week for each post op. so you required to stay in seoul at least 7 days after each surgery. Rhino is a little more invasive and would required a bit more time. It really all depend on the rate of healing. I would say 2 and a half week is a safe bet to have both rhino and eye lid done. You can definitely have it done in different clinic but then you would probably need to go under LA twice. Most likely i will be doing my nose and zygoma separately myself. And i would do the eye first since your able to recover from that a day or two after surgery. More down time would be required for rhino.

4 weeks post surgery for double eyelids is the final result / look. My eyelid surgeon had said this to me and he is right. I am 10 weeks post op and looking at photos my eyes are the same as 4 weeks post op with symmetrical eyelids.

If the last picture is 5 weeks post op she will need to have revision surgery as the inner right eye has become mono lid again, you can see the droop from the previous photo and this will continue to droop more with age, it looks even worse when make up is applied you get the one big eye look. On this occasion I don't think Dr Shin at BK did a very good job as it needs revision work but she does look better than before however I wouldn't be happy with this result and would seek free revision.
