best plastic surgery clinics in Korea

Recommended Posts

You can have fat graft in conjunction with more invasive surgery such as V line provided it done last. If the surgeon do your V line first then do fat graft, it should be ok since the fat doesn't swole with the fat. But the problem is if V line is done first, then the face would be so swollen that its going to be difficult to make out where the depression are on your face to inject the fat. But fortunately fat is temporary so any lump and unevenness does iron out over time, but not all of them. Since fat graft is semi permanent like you said, 70% of the place graft will eventually overture into your body. So its a gamble cause the unevenness part of the fat graft may remain. Fat graft is semi permanent but that would depend on the treated area. If the area treated is less or non mobile like the forehead, then the graft may last longer. But if the treated area is the marionette line around the nose where it is more mobile, then the graft will overture into your body faster. And yes, usually clinic will keep your fat in a centrifugal freezer for up to 6 months before dispose of it.

Dr shin is from BK. dr park is from ID.

Initially i did shop around. But after i found the right clinic, i just stock with them. I don't complicate the situation by visiting different clinic unless for whatever reason is unable or doesn't offer to a particular procedure, only then i will search else where. But thus far all my relevant need can done at bk or Id. So i see no reason to head else where.

Sleep eyes may not be a ptosis condition. It could just mean you need a brow lift. But better bring this up with the surgeon to be sure.

There are cheap motel but there are quite far away from apegujong. I use to stay at my friend motel at chong chon nyo area. Its cheap but very far from sinsa or apegujong area.

Hi! Hi!

I attached my "nose" for your advise. LOLS! left is the before and right is the after. The after nose is very unnatural and like plastic doll nose. Don't you think so?

My list has now shrunk! Kekeke!!! It’s down to:

1. Oz – Dr Park’s replies are fast and communication with him is easy because of his fluency in English. Only issue is some bad reviews on double eyelids, chin plasty/ V-line, so must meet him personally.

2. Human PS – Dr Kim’s replied me. And also seems to be quite fluent in engrish so will try to meet him

3. Grand PS – replied. Fluent English as they have Korean-english speakers. Prices are high because they are famous. However, the information about fillers is not correct. I did my research on it. They quoted a product that will not dissolve, but claimed it will dissolve. So I will be ruling it out.

4. BK PS – fluent English reply with details and of course they have Korean-english speakers to write. Prices are super EXPENSIVE! I can’t afford it.

5. JW PS – replied slow with not fluent English with no answers to my questions except asking me to send my pictures. !?

6. S-One PS – replied with some details in short question/answers in English. Have sent my pictures/more questions to the doctor and now waiting.

7. Dream PS – can’t reply me because they only have Chinese speaking coordinator. They can only explain in Chinese, Japanese and Korean.

I have narrowed down to 3 choices. OZ PS, Human PS and S-One PS. I know they are not popular in this forum but will go consult them.

My sister is doing fillers and she is not totally against nose plasty. Just that she said just try filler to see if I like the shape and if ok, then do it next year. I told my mum about nose plasty and that its affordable unlike many years ago and Korean medical technology is constantly improving, assured her that there is no such thing as smashing up the nose and rebuilding it using implants. Explained to her that it is new technology with incisions inside the nose and also it can be done within 7 days. She was like “WAH!” kekekekekek!!! Btw, did you do fillers on nose too? If you don’t mind, can tell me a bit more? And why you are against fillers for nose?

good luck on the Sept team!!! I will be cheering for all of you!

WoW Jekki is one lucky guy to be surrounded by many girls! :graucho:

I had sent a few emails to Dr Park and my sister seems to be very happy with his replies. she likes his frank replies in what can be done and cannot be done and also his choice of procedures.

So he is on my list of "to visit doctors".

Thanks for the reminder and opinion, Eightbelow. I had better stick with ID then..Their work is subtle and natural. Look at imbatman. But she is already pretty to begin with. Or BK?

TT_____TT
I KNOW. I KNOW!
This wait is driving me insane. Emphasis on the insane part...

I've heard about OZ Clinic, but I'm really not interested in them since I need a clinic that specializes in Rib-graft rhinoplasties. With my low / nonexistent bridge (ugh), I am a great candidate for that procedure and I know my body would automatically reject silicon / goretex implants.

Nearly 3 more weeks to go!

Thanks for introducing me to another Singaporean Blogger.
In a majority of her photos, her radix / bridge seems a bit low - even after the procedures.... Oddly enough, in certain photos, I kinda like her nose... Butttttttt is there any reason why her nose seems to change on a photo-to-photo basis??? :faint:

She probably photoshops her pictures... I feel like a lot of Asian bloggers do...

I'm no nose expert so I can't really offer my opinion! My idea of what looks natural and what looks fake is a little weird I think. Who did that simulation? It doesn't look *that* fake honestly! I dont have a good eye for spotting people who've had their noses done. :P

Damn youuuuuu! *shakes fist* I've still got 7 on my list. I need good reasons to kick them off e.g. Shimmian because of Townstory's experience with him but then I put him back on the list because he seems to be the most experienced one with Goretex. And others I don't wanna get rid of just yet because they're popular with locals and that's saying something... I mean you've got loads of Koreans turning themselves into Song Ji Hyo lookalikes. Gonna have a look at Human PS now TYVM LOL. I was interested in Dream but knowing how basic my Korean is and how they don't do English... It's annoying how some of these clinics have English sites but don't really offer English support.

Yup, I've had hyaluronic acid fillers placed in my nose and they should last from ~9 months to 1 year. Before I was hoping they'd last longer but now I can't wait for them to dissolve. My doctor said that if I was planning on undergoing surgery, I'd have to get rid of them before otherwise it'd cause problems. Hopefully it'll dissolve by the time I go or I'll just get hyaluronase pumped in! :yahoo: Dr Jung/Shimmian offers free hyaluronase too if you go with him.

When I got it done, my doctor kinda firmly moulded the fillers into a more contoured shape around my bridge area and also the tip. It looked nice for the first few days and I was told not to touch it, which I didn't. But then after a week or two, it started to go back to the way it was before and it'd lost all its definition.

So imagine your simulation pic, and it goes from the After back to the Before; to me, it looked like the filler had migrated or been pressed down due to the pressure from the skin i.e. where before it was on the bridge, pressure from the skin pushed it to the sides? If that makes sense.

It's different for everybody and some might find they like fillers but I just didn't think it was worth it at the end of the day. In my head, I guess I thought I could get away from having to do actual surgery. And it was kinda annoying too. I mean, if you were going to uni and you have to plan when to go get your top-up over school break and every year you'd have to go get it redone. I just want something more permanent where I don't have to worry about it as much.

The other reason I'm not a big fan of fillers is because I kinda feel doctors are being a bit disingenuous. In fairness, they do tell you that you can get a small amount of change and it does depend on what each individual is looking to alter. But fillers are just lacking in the proper consistency; I think they're too thin and watery to hold any structure or firmness and hence are unable to hold the contours on, say, your bridge. Compare that a more solid cartilage graft or implant and the structure remains largely the same, not taking into account warping, absorption, infection and other things like that.

If fillers work for you, great! But it's true what they say; after a few years or so, it'll all add up and with all that money, you could have got the actual procedure done. I'm glad I realized that fillers weren't for me pretty quickly. Otherwise I would've wasted more money on them. WHATEVER YOU DO, DO NOT GET ARTEFILL OR WHATEVER IT'S CALLED OR ANY PERMANENT FILLERS. E.g. mine is hyaluronic acid based so if there's an emergency and I need to get it out, I can just get a hyalase/hyaluronase(??) injection to get rid of it.

if you don't think its fake than its alright!!! :graucho:

1. Simulation
Wahahahhaaaa!!!:lol::lol: It was done by BK. But their rates are damn ex!!! I have super flat bridge and close to no bridge. So yeah I was thinking of just getting it done and not wasting time on fillers.

Reason being, after I come back to Singapore (“SG”), I will have to look for SG PS to top up until I have enough monies and time to fly back to Seoul for the top up so I find it a chore. But I won’t mind flying back to Seoul for an annual check up after the surgery just to let the doctor see and follow up. However, my sister think otherwise after looking at the simulation from BK, she said it looks super fake and with that, she just told me not to do surgery at all!

2. Shrunk list :P
Keekekekee… I still have 7 weeks more to consider… Please Please don’t do with Shimmian. I also saw the bad reviews of the bone grafting issue. I can give you another SG girl who blogged about her PS where she did her nose with Nose Jung aka Shimmian. She spent $130,000 on her 10 PSs and you can google her name on plastic surgery. She was interviewed too. But I think her original face looks nicer than her now face.

Another one I read was good from Asian Nose 2 or 3 is YnY PS, they have not written back to me so I will wait and see. I am keen on Human PS and especially S-One PS. Human PS doctor explained to me there is no English explanation in their official website. In fact, there was no other language other than Korean. He stated the side effects to me so I am convince he knows what he is doing and how to go about with it. Same as Dr Park of OZ.

I have cost to consider and also my trip there is because my sister wants to go shopping and only doing fillers/botox. So my question to the doctors are, if I do A nose plasty only, can I still go shopping after the surgery. Just do that and no other surgeries like chin plasty, cheek plasty or double eyelid surgery... etc.

Fillers
WoW! thanks for your explanation on fillers. I get the gist why you dislike the use of it. But I kept reading that fillers are more for wrinkles and non elastic skin. Nose is not really popular.

If I am going to use fillers, I will use a Korean filler and I did some research and read the studies conducted by the doctors so I know it is safe.

Won Jin replied me and told me to use ArteSense (aka Artefill). When I questioned them on the safety of the product, they said that even if it is illegal, there are many people still using it last time. In other words she was explaining, Artesense is legal in Korea so it is alright to use. I did read that even till recently a few months back, there are people still suffering from the side effects of using ArteSense. Because of this (Artesense issue) and the price of fraxel quoted at different emails replies and different pricing (inconsistency), I had totally cross out Won Jin.

My sister seems to prefer those with English websites like Oz and Won Jin. BK visits SG in Oct so I am wondering should I go see them for consultation...

Thanks pororopiggy! Yes, lucky guy though maybe not as we'll all be bandaged up and bruised and looking pretty rough (I know I will) Nice

I agree that I like Dr Park's frank and honest replies, so I'm going to see him too.

What are you having done and when are you planning on having the surgery?

Hi, are you referring to Dr Hong Sung Bum from BK? I'm thinking of getting v-line surgery and nose job done by him, are you happy with the result of your nose surgery?

Has anyone had procedures done by Dr Hong? Does he specialise in facial contouring?
I'm planning to do my surgery later on this year, maybe in Nov/Dec.

Permanent fillers are probably the ONLY thing I'm absolutely opposed to. I'm glad I didn't go for anything permanent otherwise it'd cause a lot of issues trying to get it out later down the line if I decided to undergo surgery. JUST. DON'T. DO. IT. People on RealSelf have complained about having permanent lumps/granulomas in their faces which can't be removed or got rid of... Even if it's a Korean surgeon, don't!

It kinda says something about doctors/surgeons who use products like these in places where they shouldn't be used. I just don't think the risk is worth it, especially here.

And no problem! I don't think I'd have the guts to walk around Gangnam/Apgujeong with bandages on my face. You've got balls haha. Stop adding more surgeries to my list lol! D:

I'm only considering him because he's apparently the most experienced surgeon when it comes to Goretex. But I don't mind going to another surgeon who's somewhat less experienced (though still experienced enough) with Goretex. Dr. Lee at VIP is apparently the best with rib but I'm sure he'd be good with Goretex too.

Jacqueline Koh seems nice... I guess. I mean she tells people to find other means to improve their self esteem besides surgery. Sounds a bit hypocritical of me but it's better than her telling everyone to go get their faces done. Pretty responsible of her! Though her face looks pretty fake and is something I would have tried to avoid if I were her, she seems nice.
