best plastic surgery clinics in Korea

Is it relatively easy and cheap?

I plan to stay in hotel sunshine, highland or youngdong as they are all near the surgery places.

The last time I went I just used pick up service from BK but this time I plan to go to more clinics do I doubt I be able to use the pick up service...

just use the limo bus from the airport to sinsa dong. when you reach sinsa station, you can grab a cab to get to your hotel, or you can just walk to either hotel since its not that far away. but i would still suggest a cab since the closest hotel (yongdong) takes atleast 10 minute on foot. so if you have a lot of luggages with you, it will be a real hassle. its should cost you more than 5,000 KRW from sinsa station to any of these 3 hotel. from the airport to sinsa dong using limo bus will cost around 10,000 KRW. so altogether you'll be paying around 15,000 KRW plus/minus, thats a little bit more expensive than taking a subway but a hell of a lot cheaper than a cab.

Ellie got back to me, she said it was okay to have surgery and wouldn't make much of a big difference (except the cramping!). If I remember correctly, HHer had the same issue.



I agree with you. I do believe if you're having menstruation the day of the surgery (me), instead of putting a catheter, you'll have to wear a big ol' diaper-like contraption........

i would say for the first week or so, take it easy. epecially if you still have some form of external stitches or dressing on you. you could of course take long walk to get the blood pumping, but i wouldn't suggest anything more than that. the reason for that is if you have any external stitches or dressing, the last thing you want to do is get it wet. that is why most clinic forbid their patient from washing their faces or taking shower for the first 4 to 7 days in fear that they may accidently soak their wound. if your suture site gets too moist, then the healing rate decreases causing the expose wound which may lead to infection. now you wouldn't want that to happen now would you? especially if you just had a rhinoplasty, you have to take extra precaution when you're outdoor cause taking in too much outdoor air may not be good for the nose. which is why whenever i am out and about in seoul, i wore a mask just to prevent any pathogen or bacteria going up my nostril. if you hust had rhinoplasty, it is advice that you remain indoor as much as you can until all the stitches are removed from your nose. having said all of that, the street of gangnam weren't really design for jogging cause the side pavement is slanted upward making an uneven surface. the only flat surface is the road which is occupied by motor viehicles. i've been to seoul 4 time and stayed in the gangnam district on all 4 occasion and not once i've seen joggers treking the street of gangnam. the onyl runner i see are working folks rushing back to work after lunch if you itching to put on your running shoe, then i suggest you go down to a local gym instead. atleast you'll be in good company

Can you tell me if Dr Shin for BK speaks pretty good English, as in I wouldn't need a translator with me? I have a few hours free the day I arrive in Seoul so I was thinking of fitting in another consultation with him as there's no harm. I'll then be having four consultations in total

The way you describe him makes me think that he appears not to be pushy but very understanding to your needs and takes his time during the consultation. Also should I email the main bk website or is there someone (his assistant or nurse) that I can email directly?

Its kinda horrifying to see my gauze always soaked wet with blood. Its not tat painful but rather its the sore n stitches one has to be careful.

I was reading china forums and people are complaining that ID standard has dropped alot this past two years. some even say ID let newbie operates on you while u were under GA.

but over here people are praising him. I droppedbid an email and they told me ther are able to offer me a discount if I choose other doctors and not dr Park.

I am planning vline and zygoma...does vline in ID consist of long cut and chin reshaping to make it sharper? I read hongkong post and she mentjoned 3-4mm was shaved from her jaw bones. thats very little.....if only 3mm is shaved, the effect should be very minor right? I need a manor change....

anyone can advise how much ID charge for vline and zygoma reduction with dr park? I am planning to go to grand, cinderella,jewelry, banobagi, id, smallface for consultation. Will 14million won be enough for these two surgeries? I heard banobagi is way expensive than id..anyone knows how much more expensive?

thanks for your compliment. yes, i did 2 jaws at ID back in april this year. i pay 18.5 million KRW for 2 jaw and revisional V line. i also had a sliding G, but usually sliding is perform concurrently with 2 jaws surgery, so i can't consider that as a seperate procedure. so it was just 2 jaws and V line. usually you would need braces first to align the teeth to the new position before you undergo such a procedure, but ID is a big proponent of the surgery first approach which make more sense to me. every other clinic outside of korea suggest that i have the braces first before doing the 2 jaws, but it make no sense to me to intentionally misalign my teeth before the surgery. usually when you about to do 2 jaws, your orthodontist would need to work in cohiesion with your surgeon to plan the misalignment of your teeth. even if you did go for braces before the surgery, there is a still a chance that you may need to have braces again after the surgery to correct some issue that was over look before the surgery. so choose to have the surgery first before the surgery so that my orthodontist can plan the braces base on my current teeth alignment after the surgery.

chances are, if your orthodontist is not involved with the preperation of your surgery, there is a higher probabilty that 2 jaws may alter your smile. but the good thing about it is, if you still have your braces during the surgery, your orthodontist and simply readjust the braces to match the new location of your jaw. that mean you might have the braces on longer than expected, but you need not to pay for an extra set of braces after the surgery. i have not had my braces yet, but i will have it on very soon. just seeking for the best option and price at the moment.

Something has been bothering me, and google has given up on me or maybe it's the other way round, but having gone through a couple of hundred B/A pictures of rhinoplasty patients on different websites, I can't help but notice that a majority of them end up having their nostrils kinda over exposed post surgery. Is it because of the tip being more upturned? Is their no other way of correcting a slightly droopy tip than over exposing your nostrils from frontal view?
