london_chick Posted September 8, 2012 Posted September 8, 2012 Oh ok cool! What did you think of him? And what did you get done to your nose? Did you see dr Hong too? I heard he specialises in rhinoplasties..
london_chick Posted September 8, 2012 Posted September 8, 2012 Hiya! You don't sound too happy with your surgery. I hope things are a bit better for you! Yes please share your experience with dr Shin. I've actually changed my appointment with dr shin to dr hong as I heard he specialises in noses.. Am I correct or should I see both drs? Ive been told by surgeons from several clinics after emailing them my pictures that I would need an osteotomy too. What would you advise, I mean, would you avoid having your osteotomy if you could as it seems the post op after an osteotomy is more painful and the swelling is much worse than not having an osteotomy? And what would you advise for post op if one is having an osteotomy? Did you visit other clinics other than Bk? Hope you're recovering well! I assume you've left Seoul now?
sher-i Posted September 8, 2012 Posted September 8, 2012 Hehe yup! I just want to know all possible options before I go there.. but is the guest house really that bad ..:/
schrodinger Posted September 8, 2012 Posted September 8, 2012 Hey all, So I made it to Seoul and I met up with KKim last night. Really fun - I was really tired after a 17 hour flight and throwing up on the airplane... I'm glad KK with the patient that she had to deal with my queasy self. Real sweetheart! I'm up to meet people tonight too - going out to do some shopping, send me a message with your Kakao talk ID. I am in the gangnam-gu area. Apartment is really cosy, but nice and I have all the amenities (except an outlet converter / adapter) and a view. KK also noted that there's a television monitor in the elevator too (good thing? LOL) I slept really, really good. 8 hours and ready to tackle Seoul!
schrodinger Posted September 8, 2012 Posted September 8, 2012 Hey Eightbelow, do you have time to meet up tonight if you want company~

juboozi Posted September 8, 2012 Posted September 8, 2012 has anyone heard of CHANNEL CLINIC?http://chps.co.kr/new/main.asp i know someone who went there and got amazing results but havent heard much about it on this forum...
hongkongphooey Posted September 8, 2012 Posted September 8, 2012 Hi. Recovery is a mixed bag, I will let Emisa fill you in when you meet up but my results are not so good now. I am having my Paranasal implants removed, I would not recommend this to anyone unless you have a high upper lip and gummy smile which I didn't. Star Hotel is 10x nicer than Highland and the same price but you will need to take the train to the clinics. When I go back next April, I will stay at Star, it's worth the hassle of the train journey for the convenience of living right next door to a train station and having the freedom to go anywhere in Seoul. But if you have never been to Seoul book Highland before and up to 3 or 4 days after your surgery then move, by that time you will have figured out your way around and recovered enough to explore. When I said blog I mean my detailed lengthy postings on here. Click on my photo and select see other posts, read from 7th June. Good luck with your exciting journey.
fantasyface Posted September 8, 2012 Posted September 8, 2012 You are your megan fox nose? You must be so sad... How is your face shape now? Are u satisfied with it?
cocochanel2012 Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 Did try to search on this this website but Sunshine hotel is really fully booked for the dates i wanted. Only managed go get the later dates. So gotta move my butt around with the bandage face. What a challenge !!!
babii-namky Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 I'm sorry that you have to go through that kind of post-op service. Reading this makes me rethink about getting an osteotomy. I wonder if this procedure is necessary. I have a little hump on my nose and I'm still waiting for Dr. Suh from JW to reply.
vivi_333 Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 Hey, Maybe i can give some advise of your eyes problem. I had same problem as you. Since your eyes is sleepy eyes, you might need ptosis correction or lateral canthoplasty. Sewing method doesn't lasting, it maybe last for about two years only. Please consult two more clinics to as more questions. Please go ahead to Teuim to check with Dr Kwon. All the best for your surgery.
eightbelow Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 Im in Highland hotel now and leavin Seoul on 14/09. Osteotomy is a complementary procedure if one has a wide nose bridge and aspire to achieve a slim caucasian-like nose. Its just that the impact it has on the face is too harsh. Its impossible to return to work immediately at all. I am anticipating how my nose would look like by end September (its not that ugly just swelling uglily). Just make an effort to visit other clinics as much as u could.
