I am deciding between him and Wishclin taipei's doc chuang but i am still wiating for doc chuang's reply.

My idea look is Michele Reis's eyes and nose..im concerned that if i choose Doc kim ,he might make me look too korean more then Michele Reis.

I am form Singapore so i think going to taipei is cheaper in a way right?

Those postings had done long time ago, hahaha. BTW, I wanna talk about Wonjin. This clinic is bigger and more specialized than OZ or BK. That's ineresting I saw many of people have done in Wonjin clinic but nobody put any information in here.

I recently had rhinoplasty done in Seoul with Dr Lee of Banobagi. And this forum was so helpful for me in making my decision. So I would like to contribute a little back for those who follow

Here are some of my experiences in consulting with the clinics -

1. Dr Jung

Before I arrived, I had pretty much decided on Dr Jung because of his experience and reputation. But I had a few misgivings.

First, I asked Jay (the manager) to make my surgery one day after my consultation so I could have some time to think because it was such a big decision. But he ignored that and made the surgery on the same day.

Second, a few days before left for Seoul Jay called me and told me I had to be 100% sure that I would do the surgery with Dr Jung because he was really busy. Otherwise he would have to give away my surgery date to someone else. I guess I could have lied but I didn't. I told him I was not 100% sure and couldn't be without meeting Dr Jung first. On my insistence, he arranged for a call with Dr Jung. Dr Jung was very nice and understanding. In fact, he was surprised that my consultation and surgery was on the same day and arranged for two consultations before a tentative surgery date.

Third, on the day of my first consultation Jay came to pick me up. He asked whether I had left my money in the hotel and I said yes. He then drove me back to the hotel and told me to get my money because it would be unsafe. The consultation with Dr Jung went pretty well - he was very nice and responsive but seemed to be in a rush - he was behind a large desk and didn't feel my nose like a lot of the other doctors did. After the consultation Jay asked me to pay straight away and I felt pressured into it. Lone story short, a few hours after I changed my mind and wanted to consult with a few more clinics first. The good part was they gave my money back without too much hassle.

So basically I found Jay really pushy but Dr Jung was very nice although busy.

2. JW Clinic

I just walked in to this clinic and Dr Suh was able to see me so that was good. Note however that they do not speak English at all but luckily for me I speak Mandarin and they had a Chinese translator on staff. The main thing that made me decide against this clinic was because when I said I didn't want a silicone implant, Dr Suh suggested harvesting material from either my skull or my butt...which I had never heard of before and really turned me off the clinic.

3. Dream Clinic

Dr Park spoke a little English but not well. I quite liked him because when I said I didn't want a silicone implant, he didn't push it. He even suggested a filler made from my crushed septal cartilage to fill out the radix a little. But I decided not to go with him because our consultation was in a little nook next to the surgery room and he was in his scrubs. So it gave me the impression that he was really busy and had to juggle a lot of things at once - and I wanted a doctor who was fully concentrated on me during my surgery. Also he said he had to cut on the outside of my nose for my alarplasty which turned me off due to the risk of scarring.

4. VIP Clinic

The clinic itself is very nice and have a few people who speak English on staff. I just walked in and both Dr Lee and Joann were able to see me after a short wait. There were three reasons why I decided not to go with VIP.

First, before I went up for my consultation I saw a girl who had obviously had surgery there. Her cast was off so it would have been at least one week post-op. And her nose was huge. And her face was so small. I know that it may partially have been due to swelling but still...it was not promising.

Second, let me preface this by saying that Dr Lee was very nice. But his style is very dramatic whereas I wanted a more natural result. It seemed to me that instead of making a nose that suited the rest of my face, he wanted to change my whole face to suit what he believed to be the golden line or perfect facial proportions. And like everyone else on this forum, I was recommended rhinoplasty was rib cartilage, paranasal, forehead fat graft and genioplasty. Maybe if I had gotten all that done I would have looked beautiful but I would not have looked like me anymore...So I would only recommend Dr Lee for someone who wants a big change and doesn't mind looking very different.

Third, Joann was very responsive when I sent her emails before I arrived and gave me really detailed information which I appreciated. But she sold hard. And in my opinion, the clinic recommended procedures that were not necessary for me and not in line with the natural look I told them I wanted.

5. Grand Clinic

I actually just walked by this clinic and decided to go in because I remembered the name from a few forums. Again, they do not speak English here but had a Chinese translator. I consulted with a youngish doctor called Dr Park. I think he was by far the doctor that understood what I wanted. It was like we were on the same wave length. I told him I wanted something natural and he just recommended alarplasty and tip plasty. He was the first doctor not to recommend an implant for me. He took a lot of time explaining every little thing he was going to do and drew pictures to show me exactly what he meant. I loved the detail he went into and the natural result he wanted to achieve. The only thing that was missing was that I could not find anyone on any forum who had done rhinoplasty at Grand nor anything specifically on this Dr Park.

5. Banobagi

Banobagi was the clinic I ended up choosing. I liked Dr Lee a alot, only slightly less than Dr Park of Grand. He first asked me what I thought my biggest problems were before making his recommendations - and we both agreed it was the alar and tip. He initially wanted to put into a silicone implant but when I said I didn't want it he didn't push it. He also suggested a fat graft on the radix as an alternative. But assured me that even if I didn't get an implant, the alarplasty and tip plasty alone would make a big difference for me. I had two consultations with Dr Lee and one more right before my surgery. He was very patient with me which I appreciated.

hi reddelicious, i am interested in going to banobagi for nose, may i know how is yours recovering right now? and is dr lee good at achieving natural yet define nose results? if possible, do you mind sharing your before and after nose pics? im very very interested but im contemplating going to korea or to singapore for dr woffles wu. need some enlightenment thanks alot in advance!!

Hello guys! I decided to get plastic surgery done to my eyes on a whim, I figured I graduated college, perfect time to get it done before I start my career. Plastic surgery is rare amongst my group of friends but the 2 that I know that got eyelid surgery done, one had the procedure done in the city by a white doctor who had extravagant advertisements and seeing their end result honestly scared me and one recommended VIP plastic surgery to me and she had much better results (much cheaper too than NYC!). I bought a ticket to Korea, figuring...go to Korea where they are known for their plastic surgery and they know how to operate on asian faces. I just wanted a natural crease on my eyelid that will be permanent and not undo itself. I had very thick hooded monolids. I went to a couple consultations in Korea such as BK and Oz as mentioned here, their consultations did not seem sincere to me, not to mention that my korean is very broken and english is my language of choice. I felt they were not understanding my vision. Choosing a place got me more nervous and anxious and the competition between these places are steep since they are all located next to each other. I chose VIP because I felt like during my consultation, I was understood (not to mention some speak english!) The service was top notch (maybe thats why they call it VIP?)from the moment I stepped in. The place is also very clean and very well maintained and they are bustling with clients (it was also summer vacation, when most people decide to do ps) which made me feel that they were well experienced, both doctors also have years put into the practice and teach it as well in medical schools. I was given a private room to calm down and wash my face. I hate needles and I cant stand hospitals. I am probably the worst and most scared when it comes to these kinds of things. I can't even get a blood test done without thinking about it the night before and not being able to sleep! Even though the room was inviting, fully equipped with a bed, computer and tv, I sat on the sofa just staring at the wall until the friendly nurse told me it was time to go to the surgery floor. The surgery took about 2 hours for me since I went for the incision method and I had a lot of fat in my lids which he had to remove. I can truely say that the only part that hurt was at the beginning when he gave me 4 shots to numb the area around my eye. The shots took about 1 minute but they hurt and I was soo scared so the nurse held me hand. During the procedure I felt like the doctor was very thorough and made me feel at ease. I had to ask the doctor if he even started to make the incisions because I did not feel a thing! It was amazing and even when he started to stitch it, I did not feel one thing. 2 hours went by fast, I didn't even know I was in there for 2 hours until I asked what time it was when he was done. I couldn't see much and my vision was very blurry, the nurse led me to my room and she laid me down upright with a frozen eye pad. I ended up falling asleep and woke up 2 hours later where they served me lunch. I figured after a couple of hours after the anesthesia from the shots wore off, I would be in pain, but it was kind of odd that I wasn't! I was given antibiotic eye ointment to apply to my lid and nausea pills but I didn't need to take the nausea pills. 3 days after I had an appointment to remove the stitches and have a checkup. I wore sunglasses day and night, indoors and out...even in restaurants for dinner. I didn't want to stay stuck indoors on my vacation so I went out and enjoyed Korea. My experience was everything I could have asked for and thats why I had to share it with you guys 2 months later, I am back in nyc and very pleased with my results. My eyes are bigger, I can apply eyeshadow without looking weird and i can actually go without heavily lining my eyes with black liner like I used to just to make my eyes look bigger. I also wanted to just inform you guys that many surgeons will try to sucker you into getting a noninvasive method and just stitching your eyes because its easy money for them, this method will undo itself if you have hooded lids which makes you go back to them for a revision (which gives them more money) I can tell that my eyelids will stay put and everyday I feel like its getting better and better, more and more natural (The doctor told me realistic expectations was full recovery in 6 months) Everyone tells me I look a lot prettier and I have changed the views of my friends who were non-believers in plastic surgery. The staff and doctors at VIP really care about doing a good job on what you want and will tell you if your expectations are unreachable. I'm really happy I did it, if anyone wants to ask me anything I will give you truthful answers. I work a lot so it may take a while to get back to you but I will!

Hi guys! Im also vietnamese but Im currrently living in Sweden. I also want to do my eyelid surgery in Korea but unfortunately my summerholiday ended for some days ago so I'm back to school, Im planning to do mine when I have christmas holiday buhuhu because I really want to do my eyelidsurgery in Korea but I don't know anyone there.
But If you guys do the eyelid surgery next month can you please send me before and after picture if its don't bother you guys ? If have to show it to my parents because they didn't want me to travel to korea alone just for doing an eyelid surgery .

I can't find much on VIP so I cant be of much help with that. BUT, I've been researching on the topic a lot these passed few months cause I'm really determined to get a nose and eyelid job done. Out of all the research I've done, Dr. Park of Oz and Jung of Shimmian seem to be one of the better ones out there with less complaints. BK seems to be getting a lot of bad reviews so that's enough for me to lose complete interest.

I would like to know if anyone else has any other recommendations on where to go. PLEASE!!

I recently joined this forum because I want double eyelid surgery too. I am planning to go to Teuim with Dr. Kwon for double eyelid surgery w/ magic epi. And going to Banobagi for nose and jaw (not sure if I need jaw reduction - but getting surgery to slim down my face).

I am planning to go in May 2012 and stay till around July? Maybe even before that. But I dont want to go back home too soon so that everyone knows I had surgery done. Heard its great to go in May too since it is not high season for plastic surgery in Korea.
I have not booked tickets or anything yet. But I have spoken with Banobagi and asked them about pricing and a few other questions. I recently just sent them a second email, they did not take very long to get back to me on the first one. Within 24 hours? They are very nice. Not sure who I spoke with though since they have a general email address on the website.

For those who are planning to get nose and eyelid surgery...Banobagi told me to go get eyelid surgery done first and than do my nose and jaw.

I am thinking of getting magic epi. I do not have small eyes...but I used to have a lazy eye when I was young..which made my eyes have a slight asymmetrical look. I do have a double eyelid but its not very prominent. Some of my friends think I'm crazy and say I do have a double eyelid...but I'd like you enhance it to get a full distinct line.

Im getting these surgeries done to enhance my looks. I know it may seem like lots...But I'm doing this for myself and no one else. I will be bringing a translator along with me...my korean friend

If anyone would like to accompany me on this trip - split hotel fares, go to the clinics...etc. Please msg me! I am very excited but I am very scared. It is a long ways away till I get surgery. Especially when I haven't set dates yet. I am going in May for sure because I finish school in April.

Has anyone had personal experiences with Teuim for magic epi w/ double eyelid surgery or other procedures? Or Banobagi for nose or/and jaw reduction?
I have not personally known anyone that have at either places. But I've done much research at other forums and been to websites. And have set my mind at these places, but I do have room for comments and other suggestions!
