lovelyladyinr Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 Anyone been to Dr Kenneth Kim in LA the Los Angeles Dream Clinic? I have my surgery booked for Jan 17th! Had a skype consultation with him- he seems so honest, non pushy, and very knowledgable. My only concern is that I hear he is better at eye surgery than nose...and I want both done at the same time... Anyone had experience with him?
caitlinlim Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 i am also going around march/april !! which surgeon do you intend to go too? i intend to go with as many people!
acadabra Posted November 13, 2011 Posted November 13, 2011 No worries. Heard Bandoeyes is good for eye revision and the price is very steep.
seikei Posted November 13, 2011 Posted November 13, 2011 Hi, it's really sad to know what you had went through and also glad that you have shared with us your experience. That is something I have to bear in mind for my trip coming end Feb. Don't give up, hope your revision goes smoothly!

ps6090 Posted November 13, 2011 Posted November 13, 2011 Hi Resona, I am looking for a translator to help me during the whole consultation and surgery for my NJ. You seem to highly recommend this Zoe lady, does she purely works for Regen or does she helps any international patient to any doctors in general? Is it possible for you to provide me with her contact info? Btw, did you have anything done at Regen clinic? I am seriously considering Regen as the clinic for my NJ and am trying to do as many research as possible. Would really appreciate if you could share as I have not been following this particular forum. Thanks
milyway Posted November 13, 2011 Posted November 13, 2011 I feel your pain. I think there is another forummer in another thread who is also looking for eyelid revision, including me. Will share with you info once I research more, ok ? Don't let it get you down (I know it is easier to say than done) but just remember that you can do revision soon...
november-rain Posted November 14, 2011 Posted November 14, 2011 @caitlinlim hi , i haven't decide which surgeon yet, doing research currently what you wanna do and which surgeon u go for? Got how many people go during Mar-Apr 2011? Hope to join u gal ~ @Acadabra Thx for your info @Seikei No problem, hope after my sharing u all will more careful, for them it just a daily job but for us is for whole life ~ @milyway Yes, it is really pain (heart) yet I have to go through this Chinese new year anyone know I can re-do it before 6 month? Why have to wait for another 6 month? It will hurt my eyelid or skin? Anyone know please share with me between, which surgeon u plan to go after your research pls let me know ya and when r u going to Korea? Thx ~
milyway Posted November 14, 2011 Posted November 14, 2011 From what I know, one doc told someone that you have to wait 6 months for revision as by that time the skin will be fully healed. Ya, will let you know the clinic I intend to go to once I decided. From what I heard, even with famous surgeons too, there are revisions...sigh, these docs just take our money and don't take care to do surgeries causing patients so much heartaches....or maybe they are not so good after all, and maybe it is through adverts in any form and this Korean Wave, that people think they are good when in fact they are not that good, huh? Or it is we are foreigners that they don't bother to take care? If it is in US, the docs will have to pay compensation if they make a mess. Which month are you post-op now?
milyway Posted November 14, 2011 Posted November 14, 2011 Angleplane could be right to suspect some forummers as fake....

resona Posted November 14, 2011 Posted November 14, 2011 novemberrain, sorry to hear what happened. you may want to consider bandoeye, teuimps, real, dream, migo and regen. ps6090, you can reach her at [email protected] I had my eye (revision), nose (revision) and cheekbone done at Regen. I am actually quite happy with the results, especially the nose revision. Was told it looks quite natural. The eye revision went well but there’s still a small fold above my right eyelid. My surgeon told me it is due to my previous condition and assured me it will gradually disappear. During my time in Seoul, I went out with hotchoc, ilovethelotus and another friend whom we met at the Banobagi guesthouse and we had a lot of fun together. Here’s a review of my visit to Regen: - I reached Regen around 9.30 am with Zoe The cheekbone clinic was on the first floor, while the eye and nose clinic was on the sixth floor of the same building - Throughout my 4½ hour visit there (yes, it was that long), I noticed a lot of patients streaming in and out of Regen Probably 90% locals and 10% foreigners, which was a big plus point for me. - I get the feeling it was like a hospital. The staff was very professional. They took my photos as well as perform a CT scan for me before my consultation with the doctors. - There were two consultants attending to me (one for cheekbone, the other for eye and nose), instead of one at Banobagi Like what Lotus said, do be mentally prepared as some of the consultants can be quite aggressive. At the same time, I have to compliment my cheekbone consultant as she was very nice and thorough. Dr Kim Woo Jung (eye and nose) - he’s from Seoul National University, and has many years of experience in plastic surgery - one of the more senior doctors at Regen… you can see his pictures everywhere on tv, magazines, newspapers, etc. - he was very nice and humble but speaks limited English - I had a very good feeling about him because he spotted my eye problem (ptosis) and took time to listen to what I wanted for my nose Dr Oh Myung June (cheekbone) - he’s also from Seoul National University, I found out he was the author of a book on facial contouring - besides Dr Lee Seok June (whom Lotus met), Dr Oh is probably the second most senior doctor for cheekbone surgery - he performs 300-500 surgeries a year and speaks very good English. I waited a long time to see him as he was very busy - I felt comfortable with him because he told me specifically what he was going to do for my cheekbone. Became even more confident when he told me the risks involved (he was the only doctor who did so without me asking) There are several reasons why I chose Regen, the most important is perhaps the rapport with the doctor and the reputation of the clinic. Regen won the 2011 Health Chosun best clinic award, it is also ISO 9001:2008 certified, etc... you can find all these and other information in the clinic itself. The post operation care was first class and the nurses were friendly (it took a big chunk of my recovery stress away). Maybe it's because I like the nurse who did my cleaning and disinfecting, she was very cute haha. They also booked a limousine for me after my nose and cheekbone operation. To date, I still think I made the right choice. Anyway, I am just sharing my personal opinion and experience. It's very important you yourself feel comfortable with the doctor who is going to perform your surgery. Like I said before, please consult a few doctors and clinics before making up your mind. All the best!
seikei Posted November 14, 2011 Posted November 14, 2011 Hi Resona, My left eye is an issue of Ptosis as well. Does the correction surgery leaves more visible scar than just having Double eyelid surgery alone? Do you have any before and after pict of your eyes to share with me? Tks!
milyway Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 november.rain, I mean how many months are you post op? Because you cannot do revision unless you are 6 months after your surgery.
aaaladdin Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 @lovelyladyinr: would u mind sharing your consult experience with dr.kim from dream? I am thinking of going there for thanksgiving..
