Speaking from experience, you need more than 7 days for both surgery. I was there for 10 days just to do my eyes and it was really too rush and I almost didn't have enough time for the stitch removal. i didn't get to see the doctor on the day of my stitch removal because it was a sunday. If I could start all over again, i would definitely stay for 2 weeks just to be on the safe side. Good luck!

Tooney, my eyes are less swollen now but still a little sore and tight. Unfortunately i have to resume work this week but from home as i told my manager my eyes contracted some kind of infection. Yayy, i will start doing the hot and cold compress if it helps the swelling. I am not sure what ointment was given to me, it is in a small yellow container. I wish they would provide more information in english.

I saw Dr Kwon on saturday the day before the stitch removal. He said everything looked good, when the swelling has completely subsided, i should be able to see symmetry. Fingers crossed he is right. I feel he has done a good job and i trust him. I also showed him a picture of my friend who was thinking of getting the same treatment. He looked at her pic and said only double eyelid and epi required, no eyebrow lift. I thought since my friend is a few years older than me, she would need brow lift too but I now believe Dr Kwon had my interest at heart when he recommended brow lift not because he wanted to make more money out of me...what a relief, i know i know, i was too skeptical.

I am downing loads of orange and pineapple juice and avoiding salty food. Hopefully this will aid the healing process.

Yeah i know what you mean, i too was worried that epi would make my eyes appear too close to the nose, but right now maybe my nose bridge is still swollen but the distance seems alright at the moment. You are so brave, i think my eyes have been through too much :P

Same to you too, i hope you have a speedy recovery.

Thanks for the detailed reply!

I'll def try sending in my pictures first, so far only got reply from JW (which only suggested epicanthoplasty for my eyes) though so hopefully the rest will reply soon too.

Hahaha i think one of the hardest part will be not being able to touch your face during healing for me. Hope everything turns out super good for you  !!

Added: I must say after reading all these posts on here, I'm so glad i've stumbled onto purse forum. I was comteplating on PS in Korea and this thread made it easier to decided where to go. BKdong and VIP were the only two i was looking at before and had no idea how many other clinics were available.

THANKS GUYS! but no one answered my question. Does anyone know any clinic who uses goretex ? I know Dr.Jung from Shimiian (sp?) does but does anyone know anywhere else?

Yes, send several pics to several clinics - that's what I did, and then I narrowed down my choices based on what their replies were (for example, I knew I didn't want to use silicone or rib and about 4 out of 8 clinics suggested one of these so I crossed them out of the list and concentrated on the ones suggesting using my own tissue). JW is good too

You can touch your face after surgery. I wet a small towel and clean my face around my nose twice a day like I was washing it and still use my creams etc on my face. This afternoon I get my cast and stitches out so I'm looking forward to cleansing and exfoliating my nose

Hey. I don't know any particular clinics that use gortex but you should send your pics to several clinics and still do as many consultations as possible to see if what they suggest.

There are about 400 plastic surgeries here  BK does lots of advertisements coz I've seen several of their big billboards in the Sinsa station. They like to spend lots on international marketing - but they their reputation in Korea - as far as I have heard since I've been here the last week - isn't all so great. Perhaps they messed up in several cases and the locals are pessimistic in them, but I was talking with my Korean friend who was talking to some girls where we were having our nails done the other night and they were all like shaking their heads when BK was mentioned and said not to go there. So yeah, that's all I know about BK.

VIP are meant to be good. I contacted them during my research but crossed them off because they offered to use rib on my nose and I didn't need augmentation on my bridge so I didn't pursue them. They specialise in rib, and apparently their service is VIP (though for me it was more about how I felt with the surgeon and if what they recommended for me was exactly what I wanted)

You will never be able to figure out which clinic is good or bad since I had one forumer pm me saying she screwed her nose at VIP about 2 months ago and now looking for revision. :-/ So instead of saying which clinic is good or bad, maybe it's better to just recommend which doctor is good since from my experience of consultation at Korean ps clinics, there are more than several doctors at one clinic usually and they seem to be all specialized in different area. Just my thought.

Hi fallenangel... it's nice that you can get to work at home hehe soreness & tightness are normal. You can also practice opening your eyes as wide as you can without using the brow/forehead muscle and direct your eyes slightly looking up. Do that in 10-12reps. You can do that as many as you want. But if you feel pain when doing that, then you should take a rest.
I'm glad that dr Kwon said it's gonna be symmetrical
Hehehe.. I think lat. cantho should be less painful than ptosis correction :P so I'm just gonna go for it

Happy working at home

Hi dan4me,
I'm now 7 days post op of my zygoma, miniv and tiplasty. I must say 60-70% of my swelling has gone down but now my face feels so numb especially and chin and cheek. I have no expression and it's hard to smile and I feel like my cheek is so heavy that it's so hard to put on a smile. I'm going to remove my stitches on my tiplasty Tomorrow and the stitches in my mouth probably next week. Just wondering when u were at one week post op u were feeling the same? How long does it take for ur numbness on your face to go off? I'm panic now...
My tip is swelled like a balloon and I really cross my fingers that it will go down before I leave Korea which is in 1 week time... Is it possible?
Please advice. Thanks.
