PerfectAngle: He puts in the back of the skull for the purpose of future revision/touch up. Let's say in future my tip shrink or that my bridge deflated. It's a lot harder and tedious and time-consuming to re-harvest the rib from rib cage than it is to get it from the back of a skull.

Rawdude: let's just say I don't care for Toriumi's bedside manner nor his aesthetic taste. I now have a low bridge, a big pointy, super wide blunt ugly tip. My top choices of clinics in Seoul right now are VIP, O&YOung and possibly Jung, although I did go to him for my 2nd revision. Initally it turned out great, but as time passes, lower part of my nose started to warp and there were some shrinkage on the tip of my nose (piggy nose)

Who's going in mid-march or some time first week of April. would love to meet up.

Kain and others: You're partially right. My surgery was fine..initally the nose result was beatiful but it didn't last long. It changed about a year later.

Thanks Rawdude

I wonder if Jung, Lee at VIP and Dr. Wu at O&YOung are the only reputable surgeons in Seoul who have experience with rib revisions? There are so many clinics in Seoul, but there are only 3 rib specialists? If anyone knows of any other rib specialists besides the ones I mentioned please let us know! Thank you

^ are u sure all 3 they are "Specialists" of RIB revisions? Or does it only mean they have done amount of revisions enough using rib to be called that?
Dr Kim from BK clinic (of course since he so popular) also have done revisions with rib.

But i really wonder out of those doctors who actually specifically study about the rib and how to handle it, carve it etc specially.

vivi_bee: I called them rib "specialists" because it appears that there are a lot of rib revision cases performed by these 3 than any other surgeons mentioned in this forum, and that they readily perform the rib revisions in day in and day out basis.

What qualifies them to be a rib specialist on paper? I'm not certain. Could it be that they are double-boarded certified both in ENT and plastic surgery?

If anyone knows other surgeons that perform rib revision cases other than the 3 I mentioned, please let us know ;)

oops, I forgot to mention BK. I think it's becuase of the bad post up care I have heard so much about on this forum that I'm not interested to go to him. Plus, I have met him in person also and his b4 and after pics do not impress me.

OMG, my nose looks just like the girl with the nose augmentation and premax aug (except I didn't have the premax augmentation). I loved that nose, unfortuantely it didn't last long. It started to change on me about after a year

My first surgery, my bridge was built up with ear grafts, it was very subtle augmentation. The surgeon didn't do a great job, It sort of floated around in my bridge area, but that was over 10 years ago, so I'm sure they are more advanced with that. I believe that fascia is a good way to secure the grafts in place so that it doesn't move around.

I've read that septal cartilage is most ideal for surgeons, it has the least likelihood of warping, but many times it's insufficient in Asian noses (therefore which is why we have lower bridges to begin with).

did you tell him about it? did he offer a revision for free or for a discount? I'm kinda scared that dr jung made a rib nose that warped. i thought that warpage was rare when the nose job is performed by a skilled surgeon. and i'd be really disappointed in him if he did not, at the very least, offer a discount on a revision
