opps i wrote before that plastic material looks fake compared to real material looks more natural,

WHAT I MEANT BY THAT IS. Its not nessarily u can tell the difference between a fake nose or not. Its just when u put fake material, ppl always says your nose looks damn good the first month, but after awhile the fake material seems to thickening and u lose that sexy nose you once had, natural material does the opposite, and first your nose is severly swollen and u look like a freak! Its TOO HIGH! Its too long! but then after 2 months it gets lower, shorter and everything decreases as swelling goes down.. it all gets smaller.. and u get to live with that.. and not have to worry about is extruding prutruding through your nose... (thats my nightmare) thats why i rather go through the pain and i got natural material (my rib) cuz my doctor spoke wayyy to much and i saw in his offices all the plastic material silicone and gortex he collected from his patients who came for revision. ITS DAMN SCARY. But yeah... korean plastic surgery the only thing good about it is.... fake material hurts less i think... plus in korea u dont have to go through Health exams and tests... For me... i had to do sooo many tests before i did my surgery. Blood test, heart beat/rate pressure... they check your height and weight blood pressure test blah blah.. like 5 of them, basically your garanteed not to die.

Hello Everyone.

I just got back from Korea, I've been lurking this thread for more than 2 yrs, and finally decided to have my nose revision with Dr Jung, his clinic is always packed with patients and I acutally bumped into one of the member in this forum, his nose is so naturally i could'n even tell whether or not he had it done.

My surgery went pretty well, eventhough it is not 100% improve but I am happy that my main concerns is 70% improve, Dr Jung is a gentle and friendly man, his staff is also caring, I paid quite a lot for my revision compared with my primary but happy with the service and care Dr Jung staff provided.

I have scared revision on one side of nose alar, slightly slimming down the dorsum and ear cartilage added on tip.

Thanks everyone.;)

Thanks Rooky for this informative blurp! If you have time, I would love to hear more about your story since we may have similar noses. Dr. Kim is planning to harvest rib cartilage to augment my bridge and tip and narrow my base. If you can do it all over again, what type of procedure would you do and why? I'm trying to achieve long-term results so that this will be my first and last surgery...

...con't...
My second surgeon was Robinson Lee in Portland OR. I did alar and used my ear cartilge to build my nose bridge. During the consultation he seemed to know what I wanted and knew what he's doing, sounded promising. (Ok, 20 years ago, there were no youtube or surgeon review forum. So I had to go by what I think he knows....)The bridge he build was shorter and lower than I would like, which he said i would need yet another revision to build it up more. But the alar he just cut way too much. When he snipped that left side (I only did local anesthetic) I heard him oops. But he had to cut the same amount on the right side to make it the same. I knew then I went to the wrong person. My mistake of picking him was he was young and only been practicing for a few years. He had done more reductions than augmentations, he was just plain inexperience. So make sure your surgeon had done the same thing you want done many many times. Like a specialist.....the third surgeon....to be con't....gotta wake up early tomorrow.

sweetsavvy,
just realize i didn't answered all your questions. i would do the rib to begin with if i hd to do it again. but i'm a bit surprised dr. kim suggest to do the nose and tip all at the same time. is he using "open" or "close" (endonasal) approach? my last dr. is the world renouned rhinny surgeon, he would not do both at the same time. maybe my dr. is more conservative. may i ask how much dr. kim is charging for all these?

I've been lurking for ages, and I am definitely serious about getting my nose done in Korea this April. Of all the sites I've browsed, Banobagi seems to be the most promising. If anyone is looking for a travel buddy for around that time frame, that would be great! I live in So Cal, and I do NOT speak Korean (unfortunately), so it'd be a big plus to travel with someone who knows the language, although that's not a requirement, of course. Lol.

If anyone is interested in traveling with me and splitting the hotel cost, that would be awesome. I promise that I'm a girl, and definitely not crazy. Just message me and we can exchange info.

Now, with that out of the way, I have a few questions. Sorry if they have been answered in the last thread; it was just too long to sift through!

1. How many days are you supposed to stay in Korea? I am assuming 2 weeks, since there will be post-op visitation(s)?

2. When an office gives you the price over e-mail, that IS the price right? There will not be any sudden changes? I'm afraid that when I get there, they'll go, "Oh, actually,..."

3. I like to travel light, so how is laundry taken care of? Silly question, I know, lol, but that's a concern of mine. I assume that the hotel will have laundry services?

4. Do you think it's difficult to get around without knowing the Korean language?

Thanks!
