asian nose job 2

Recommended Posts

no i actually agree with you, it is important to know the truth, since who many ppl think asians want to be eurasian or even say full white (seriously!! they say that before). And as u can see, its so not true (for the majority). We can however, agree that Eurasian noses are indeed amongst the nicest compared to western noses and asian noses. But i have alot of asian friends (my house is super multi-cultural) and they definitely dont want a White person's nose. Perhaps they were thinking of models... where majority of them have nose reductions. But surely they wouldnt want a typical white person nose generally. My cousin got her nose done.. and it was really huge.. looked 110% like a white person nose.. it look sooo funny on her face she had to go to Korea for revision. I, too amven a bit paranoid thats why i want revision cuz at my 45 degree angle.. it looks a bit western i hate it.. i sent my picture to Dr Lee and i think he called it like bird deformity? or something, i have like this small beak thingy. One of my roomate loves my nose (who is white) likes my nose, only cuz she has a like bump on her nose and it kinda looks like a beak too. She wants her nose done in Korea(but doesnt think she should go), im trying to persuade her to use her savings and come with me LOLLLLL.

hey guys so GA i actually went on some site that had casualties of young ppl dying from GA (not to scare u guys cuz im sure its rare) and it just made me sad cuz the age range was crazy.. some r so young.

I think the reasons i get scared of non GA is cuz
- scared it wont work
- will wake up in the middle and hear/see things
- will wear off and i will feel pain
- *new reason from reading a review on here* will have spasms (thanks guys!!!)
- constant injects on needles? (even though none of you yet answered me how exactly steps taken/how its done

Someone recommended me Twilight + LA is this the best one to fix all my fears listed at the top? Why is it better then Sadation + LA? Please correct me cuz my guess is....
Twilight u will sleep + the LA = No pain.
Whereas Sadation + LA u will be relaxed and calm and not care what they are doing u will be relaxed BUT NOT asleep?
I heard someone removed their rib without GA, which method did they use?

When you say your nose nose looks a bit western, do you mean the tip or the bridge? I definitely don't want an overly thin and long tip. That's why I'd decided against getting surgery here in California, after consulting with rhinoplasty specialists in both SoCal and NorCal....I feel like their mental image of tip augmentation is very different from that of a Korean surgeon with experience in Asian noses. I'm beginning to think I should bring pictures of celebs I DON'T want to look like, along with pictures of those that I admire. You know, like when a patient writes "don't amputate this leg" on their good leg on the eve before his amputation surgery for his bad leg.

I think having a typical, Western, tall/ thin nose may give one an aristocratic look when one is young, but come middle age or later it can be very aging. That's why I think Eurasian or cute Asian noses are so much better looking in the long run.

I have several Eurasian friends and acquaintances. Funny thing is some of them you can't even tell they've got Asian or Caucasian ancestry in their genes. One girl I know is 1/2 Vietnamese but looks full Asian aside from her brown eyes. Another friend is 1/2 Japanese and has carrot red hair and green eyes (but small w/ single eyelids). Then there are the many Eurasians who get mistaken for being Filipino...LOL. Race and ethnic traits are such interesting things, sometimes it brings out how insecure a person really is about her/ his own issues dealing with it.

For example, a good friend of mine who is Filipina married an Irish-American guy and they have a 3 year-old daughter. Anyways, the little girl is so adorable and looks Filipina more so than Caucasian. She's the cutest thing, with dark brown/ straight hair, dark eyes, cute, wide/ upturned nose, and olive skin. But my friend gets really upset and offended whenever people comment on how cute and more Filipina-looking than White her daughter is. She already doesn't allow her to go out in the sun fearing that she'll get more tan. Last week she half-joked that she'll be saving for her daughter's 18th B-day nose job! I was like "Wut?!"

Twilight/ IV sedation is basically LA plus sedative IV medication to induce sleep NOT unconsciousness as in GA. Also in Twilight/ IV anesthesia, you will get another IV medication which makes you "forget" you're in surgery while you're sleeping. I don't know if that makes sense but it's the best I can explain it without being boringly technical.

Go for Twilight/ IV anesthesia unless your doc specifies otherwise, you should do fine. Both methods are very safe, it's just that we should be aware of the side effects of anesthesia as well. Sometimes I think this gets sidestepped when people are discussing plastic surgery, when in fact it's one of the main causes of complications and mortality in elective, plastic surgery. Be as well-informed and make sure to advocate for yourself to your surgeon. He/ she won't become offended if he/ she is a good professional. In fact, they'll probably appreciate that you did all your homework beforehand, it makes their job that much easier as far as communication goes.

Eek!! Now I'm freaking out since I've been under GA 3 time now! I don't want to reach my lifetime limit!!! I'll have to ask my doc and see what he says about the Twilight + IV Sedation, but the spasms part does scare me, won't that affect you if the surgeon has a scalpel to your skin, I would hate for a spasm to be a cause of an incorrect cut.

LOL, I'm not surprised actually!
JoAnn does have a really good eye in saying her nose is a bit long. I do see it in some of her pictures, but I still really like her nose. Maybe it was shorter, she would be "too cutesy" and not elegant/cute like she is now? It's a thin line between cute and pretty! haha
Hmmm..interesting that JoAnn knows that Angelababy has had 3 surgeries...maybe she is hinting that Dr. Lee is the surgeon but can't say it for sure due to confidentiality agreements! haha! That's just totally my speculation!!

Hi Cat, If you want to email me, I can play around with photoshop and see if I can show you what you could possibly look like. I did it to one of my photos and I also did a "mockup" for another TPF member's photo.

Honestly, that is one thing that I was hesitant of on going to Korea, I did notice some sites that they look like they have a "cookie cutter" nose. Also, since I've researched so much, I can totally spot a NJ from across the street (ok, not that far, but you know what I mean!);)

Ooh...yummy! LOL
I personally don't like a perfect nose on a guy, I like a man's nose to be strong and masculine. Even though it's not perfect, I really love Takeshi Kaneshiro's nose, now that's a man! haha

Yeah thats so true, like all those japanese hapas models on ViVi magazines are half white and half asian but they look like brazilian. I really like Erika Sawajiri's nose, she is half white half japanese, but i always thought she was full japanese cuz of her facial features. I prefer thin asian noses over thin caucasian noses, the reason being when the implant is put in, it normally starts at the forehead.. do u know what i mean? White ppl dont really have that curvement between the eyes.. fthere nose is just kinda attached to there forehead, i've seen korean celebrities that did that before and i think it looks SOOO fake. U said you are mix right? i think u can pass any nose then. When i took my cast off i looked too strange though, im so glad it absorb like 15% Have u done your nose before??

Yeah, I know what you mean about Caucasian noses starting at the forehead, that's also partly why they tend to look older. It may make them look stunning at certain times, like some of the British models like Erin O'Connor or Stella Tennant, but personally I'd rather look cute/ pretty than distinguished/ noble.

The only thing I'd done was very slight alar reduction, so slight that not even my family could tell I had it done. I told my surgeon to be very conservative and apparently he took it to heart cuz it really looks like I had nothing done. My nose wasn't that wide to begin with and I actually have a decent size bridge and tip. Only thing is my tip points down and so can look bulbous from certain angles...kinda like Halle Barry's nose before she had her nose job.

The reason why I want to get my nose done is because it really doesn't fit my facial features. I have very noticeable double eyelids and big eyes, so I kinda want a more streamlined/ upturned nose to match them. I'm partly Russian, the rest is Taiwanese/ Japanese, but obviously I think certain Korean surgeons are way ahead of the pack as far as experience and most likely technique are concerned. That's why I'm willing to trek halfway around the world to have it done. One of the most important criteria in choosing surgeons is the number of cases or experience he/ she has in the procedure you're interested in. That's why I only researched rhinoplasty specialists.

OMGGGGG thank u so much for that! i watched her last clip.. and man.. this doctor knows how to make a flat face more 3-D. Her nose looks very natural, even when her face is swollen still looks nice im sure it would continue to look more natural. Fat graphing procedure is like needle right? They inject it in your chin and forhead? THey dont make a incesion in your forehead or chin right? If anyone speaks korean please let me know
1) if this doctor speaks english 2) has he worked with rib material before.

Vivi_bee: their korean website has both in English and Chinese version, but the one in English doesn't work. That said, you can call this number on their
Chinese site http://cn.asps.co.kr/info/info01.asp and just say hello, hello..someone will transfer you to another staff who does speak decent English. They also have another staff who speak fluent mandarin chinese. I called earlier and I spoke to the English speaking staff. He said they have 5 doctors at their clinic, but I didn't ask if the doctor works with rib.

He work is very impressive indeed, I'm going to check him out when I get to Seoul. I don't know enough about this doctor, but I have started my email correspondence with him ...
