i went to the clinic and when i went for the dressing, i told dr lee that i thought it was a kidney infection (but i think he knew it was just a uti) and then joann got really worried and rushed me out before dr lee could explain it

joann drove me to an "internal medicine" place and i got blood test, urine test, and x-rays and the doctor said it was a uti and not the kidneys. (a kidney infection is much more serious than a uti) not sure why they needed x-rays


i'm kinda surprised that the uti wasn't taken care of by all those antibiotics when i was in the recovery room. but the fever, musle pain, etc, all symptoms of uti. they put me back on antibiotics and i'm in the rec room again

they handled it very well though. i felt bad for causing them to worry so much so i apologised but they said it was okay.


also: i finally figured out that the vial of painkillers they give when you leave the rec room probably only drips for a while before it runs out, and they refill it the next day

i'm definitely starting to like my nose now. the alar base is a to wide by maybe one or two mm, but i'm not sure if i want alarplasty for that little change. the swelling is down by quite a bit. the bridge looks nice from what little i have seen. i'm okay with a high radix cos i don't have a flat forehead. and the tip is starting to soften a bit and become thinner.

i also know that i will like the results of the sliding genio once the swelling is down.


also: joann bought me pasrties today, as well as for all the clinic workers. even the guy who works in the carpark. i think she is a very charming, sincere woman.

omg i saw that same link too a while ago, she looks sooooo different!!!!!!! i cant even believe it. well beauty is pain, theres this picture of her and her friend on her blog and omg they look EXACTLY the same. like they could be twins. guess they went to the same plastic surgeron!!!

there was a little bit of pain on the first day for me, but it was a low dull pain. i didn't even notice it compared to my rib pain

its not really painful anymore, it just kinda feels weird. like i can feel like my chin is mobile even though its not moving ( the bone should start to fuse after a few months, but it is held in place by a medical wire until then). i don't even have a dull pain on the incision site. i just feel the pressure of the stiches pulling my tissue really tightly so that food and water can't get into the incision.

vip gives benzydamine hcl solution as a mouthwash to gargle with (make sure it soaks around the incision site too) as a pain reliever. it makes your mouth sting at first,t hen makes your mouth dry and numb, so you gotta drink lots of water

the worst thing about the genioplasty is that i can't eat properly now. i can eat soft processed meat, but not tough meat or chewy stuff. and it takes a long time to eat. i can't open my mouth all the way without it feeling weird. food (especially rice and small particle foods) keeps getting caught infront of my teeth and its rly annoying. i have to cut meat and other foods into small pieces before it can fit into my mouth without it feeling weird. chewing fels weird too, cos of the numbnes
you also have to be really gentle when brushing your teeth. remember to rinse your mouth with water often, and drink lots of water
i also can't talk properly right now. i have a slur which makes me feel rly bad
post-op pain is probably the easiest thing for me to deal with regarding the sliding genioplasty. itts the other things that bug me

shortening your face might make your face look more round. try adjusting your face in photoshop before making a decision over shortening your face. if you send me pics, i can do it for you once i get home

wow thanks for the detailed response!! it rlly helps alot. lol i am not asian and my face is long. i think round faces are cute so i want one too! lol. i think if i have the extra money this is probably something ill end up getting done. i was just planning on a chin implant but why not something more permanent. lol im basically a vegetarian so i shouldn't suffer too much with the food part. lol thanks for the photoshop idea, ill play around with that before i make any decisions. hope ure recovery is going smoothly

hehe thanks rawdude. uhm nothing drastic, i swear!! i'm just going to remove the excess fat from my lid so that my eyes will look as big as they actually are.. i know i said i wouldn't but on the right eye theres more fat so it makes it noticably smaller than the left

everyone told me to not eat spicy food, beef or seafood.. spicy food because of swelling and beef and seafood because of the scar..

that's just what my mom and everyone at my resto said btw.. but makes sence

oh yah when i went out to eat two days after the waitress told me the same cs it was obvious i had nj with my mask on lol

mixedgirl, where will you from? korean? when I was young, my mum told me that too. No seafoods and black soy sauce or any black. LOL!

A fren brought me to this restaurant n we had the Korean spicy hot pot thing on e 4 day of my nj. N I ate lotsa beef n seafood during my stay over there cos I was told tat beef is gd for recovery?
