By the way, if it wasn't free for your dad, do you know how much would the scar/mol removal would have cost ?

angleplane
wow, that's so cool it's cheap. I have like ten scars all over my body because a surgeon made me a body contour (liposuction) and each site where he entered the canula left a 5mm long and 2 mm wide scar. Thanks for the info )
deliriousgirl
Xing, I know a plastic surgeon in Seoul and he just wrote back and said Dr. Lee of VIP is a good rhinoplasty surgeon. However, he recommend I consult with another doctor at the 101 clinic. Would you be interested? Jenstar, if your reading this email me.

deliriousgirl
Kain, did the laser really remove moles? After the scab falls off, are the moles still there? My sister had her moles on her face removed and it left her with craters...

xing
Sure! Can you pass me the info? I'll email them and take it from there. Any tips about telling Dr Lee what kind of nose I want? Is he one of those completely honest doctors? Some doctors say yes yes can but in the end it's totally different from what you want. Others say cannot but only because they don't like that style of nose.
kain
i'll check my dad's face when he gets back from buying me breakfast XD
kain
i think he was very realistic during the consultation. my results are turning out just as he said. tbh i kinda let joann and dr lee tell me what they thought was best and i agreed with them completely. so they didn't really have a chance to tell me either yes or no. i actually told joann ahead of time that i didn't really know what i wanted, but i'm sure that they would be very receptive if you had something in mind. some people bring pics of noses with them that they like and dr lee can tell you if he can make a similar nose and whether it would suit you or not for me, i had an initial consultation with joann. then dr lee came in and i had a consultation with both of them. we also went through b&a pics that weren't on the website, and they tried to show me surgeries of patients with similar noses and also the type of nose they would try to give me
kain
did she use the laser method? they are still scabs, no craters yet. he has been using polysporin on it i guess it depends on how its done. a 'deep' mole has 'roots' and it will grow back partially if the roots aren't removed. my guess is that your sister had a deep mole and the surgeon didn't really tell her that it meant that he would have to burn really deep. the alternative is that he doesn't burn deep. there shouldn't be a crater, but the mole will also grow back partially(it will be smaller than before, hopefully) i think my dad just had surface moles, so they just burned it off
deliriousgirl
Kain, thanks for the info. I asked my sister and she did have a deep mole and she was informed of possible scar or crater. the crater isn't that deep but it is noticeable. She is not complaining its just I am concerned because I like to get moles removed so thought I ask what your dad experience was like.
deliriousgirl
I think Kain answered your question. He and the other rib patients are able to give you their personal experience with Dr. Lee. I advise you consult with a few surgeon and hear what they have to say and know what options you have. Based on what others say, I think Dr. Lee is professional and ethical. The question you need to ask yourself is do you want to use rib (he is known as a rib specialist) if he recommends this. he also uses alloplastic implants (silicone, medpor, gore-tex). Most of the people on this forum are seeing Dr. Lee for nose revision. The 2 I know of (Kain & Rawdude) use rib as primary. If you still haven't find a picture of a model keep looking. Good luck. Ok, here is the name of the doctor who a plastic surgeon in Seoul recommend me: Dr. Moo Hyun Paik of 101 Plastic Surgery Clinic. Website: http://www.ps101.co.kr Interestingly, this doc who recommended the above doctor works for 2 ps clinic in the Apujeong area and he did not even recommend I come to either one.
