asian nose job 2

Recommended Posts

I'm 24. I thought so too. I guess 24 is consider fairly young still. ha. My rib must not have calcified enough to not need a k wire. Wish they would have told me when I woke up what they had done overall. I'm afraid of my body rejecting the metal wire in my nose! How horrible that would be! I wanted to use all autologous material and yet, still ended up with a piece of metal inside. Can't go back now, just have to hope and pray everything goes well from here on out.

My roommate said they will take out the K wire on the 7th day? She got her k wire taken out on the 7th day post op. But I guess it depends.

I know, I am surprise no one mentioned about the painful gauze and daily nose squeezing thing on here. ahaha..now we know.

Good luck.

Hi Beefsoup,
My dad answered your questions today. He said he would not recommend fat graft because it reabsorps fast and you had to go through unnecessary surgery to get the fat. Why not just restylane injection? Restylane injection goes away in 5-6 months. Plus, fat graft can cause uneven lumps on your nose...He said he would never inject sillicon (the liquid version) into a nose because it will "melt" (sorry my english) and weigh down on both side of the nose after certain years because of gravity and then it would be very hard to take it out. You know those people with breast implant using silicone and after some years, it becomes very droopy and disfigured and melty....you dont want that happen to your nose.

As for chin implant, he said he would use silicone, not bone because it needs to be cut into proper shape to insert into the chin, and it would be easier to use silicone. Plus, if you want to take it out, it will be much harder to take out the bone if you use it for implant. He said he just take out a silicone chin implant from someone had it done in Canada after 3 months, the implant doesn't look balance on both side, and the implant made the chin very hard.
He said if you just want some minor fix for your chin, he would suggest you use filler. He said thats the way plastic surgery is advancing these days, use temporary/less invasive method to make changes to the face if possible. You can use filler on your chin (fat or perlane because it last longer) because it does not require invasive surgery, its soft and real, easy to be manipulate into shapes you want, double chin...., no major complication.

For Jaw reduction, he said there is also many complications that can go with it. The most important thing is that your jaw will become weak, and the muscle to chew food (excuse my english) will become weaker, uneven jaw reduction. You can make your jaw look less wide by making your face a bit longer (chin implant) or you can inject botox on both side of your jaw to reduce your face size. I read about this awhile ago on a plastic surgery journal too, it really works, and reduce the size of your jaw a lot!!! You cant make a square into an oval, but i think its pretty close to a square to a circle  (if you understand my comparison)....Of course this is not permanent, but botox is cheap!!

ANyway, hope that answers your question. You are beautiful as is. Dont do too much. My dad is a plastic surgeon, my brother is in Sing medical school, and Im starting medical school in US.....both of us wants to be plastic surgeon, so we love plastic surgery, but again, if its not too bad, dont fix it. Live with what mother nature gives you ...so I decided I would not have rhinoplasty and live with my nose^+^

Juicy,

Thx for the pics  you look prettier with a higher bridge, but it seems ur tip is still swollen bcoz compared to ur nose in the b4 pic, it looks more bulbous. But tiplasty wont make ur nose to look fake, dont worry. Again, thx a lot.

Btw, if u want to understand more ab nose secret

Hi girls (and boys)!

I am planning to go to Seoul this July. Even though it's quite short-term, I would like to share some thoughts with you.

I am looking for a specialist in Eyelid surgery, someone who is capable of making the eyes look natural and pretty.

I've heard about these clinics:
Banobagi
Dream
Bkdy
Realcosmetics

Has anyone of you been there or does anyone have plans to go there?
It would be great to hear some reviews about these clinics. I'd be happy also to get some other recommendations from you, since I don't know much about this topic.

Again these are my concerns, and I would be very happy to hear any opinion from you:

1. Which clinic/ doctor should I chose for eyelid surgery? Any specialist on this field?
2. Anyone planning on goingto Seoul in July 2011?
3. Looking for a good place to stay, sth decent and not too expensive, since I'd like to stay a couple of weeks.
3. Is it too short-term to make appointments for July 2011?

Thanks in advance and hope to hear from you soon!

Has anyone had complications with their paranasal implants? I've been searching for risks and complications since it was put into me and I had done no research on it (because it wasn't part of the plan beforehand). So just wondering if anyone had experience complications with their paranasal implants.

@angelplane

I'm not satisfied with a few things: 1)My bridge is not in the center, it's a little to the left, and looks a little curved 2)My nose looks a bit too long 3)Way too much tip projection 4)There is a hard lump above my right nostril on the side of the bridge if that makes any sense

Overall, the nose looks OK, you wouldn't look at my nose and think 'Oh my, what happened to her nose' or anything, but I would definately like to address the above issues.

Dr Jung did fix my severely uneven nostrils and lengthened columella nicely though, and I am pleased with the tip area on it's own. However, I feel the whole nose is not harmonious with the rest of my face because of it's length and projection.

I have to comment on how nice Dr Jung and his staff are though. As busy as he and the staff are, they are very friendly and accomodating.
