I went to VIP for my revision with rib cartilage and I'm happy with mine ;) haven't be active in the forum but im completely happy so far. Im 5 months post op :biggrin:

yeah, i had a protruding mouth. i didn't get braces. i got paranasal implants + sliding genioplasty (chin augmentation)

do u think long term ure nose will stay like that? in particular the tip? i heard ear cartilage has very high absorption rates, even as high as 100 % :wtf:
hence y im considering rib for the tip.

i am pretty new to this procedure.
if they cut your ear cartilage, does it leave any scar on your ear ?
and what does absorption rates mean? mean that it will be absorbed and dissapear?

its been stable for a while and doesn't seem to have absorbed in the past few months. i don't think the ear cartilage will reabsorb more, but who knows right?
idk where you got that statistic from :P
absorption rates depend on the individual. i do recall someone saying (online) that it depends partially on the circulation and blood supply. better circulation => less absorption. that makes much more sense than the general statement that ear cartilage has a very high absorption rate for all patients

you can do some research on it if you are interested
