houseoftaylor
I forgot to ask. What's the VIP clinic website again? Thanks so much
izora
http://vipps-clinic.com/vip_eng/index.html - temporary site (very bare)http://vipps.co.kr/index.php - More detailed English site. The pictures on this site are over 10 years old...lol... The pictures on the blog are extremely impressive like O & Young's results. I emailed VIP a bunch of pictures from the O & Young website to show them my expectations, and they said that my expectations are realistic. They said that the doctor can pretty much sculpt any shape of nose using rib cartilage. The only limitation would be the skin's elasticity. By the way, I'm getting free accommodation at their officetel for my entire tip (2 weeks) for me and my husband. This is only subject to availability, which is why I'm so glad that I already scheduled my surgery date. This is helping me save about $2,000. Good luck with O & Young. It would be awesome to know someone who has surgery there. Please keep in mind that you can't have surgery the same day you have consultation (this is what the clinic told me). It takes a few days up to a week to have surgery.
houseoftaylor
Wow that seems pretty good. So its like $8000. How many mm are you planning to use? I heard the higher the more chance or warping :S
izora
Yes, it is a great deal. I have no idea how many mm I need. I just sent pictures from the O & Young website to show them what I want...lol... All I know is that my nose can be raised a lot higher with rib cartilage. Regarding warping... VIP told me that warping is extremely rare, but it is more likely to happen the younger you are (early 20's) because the cartilage is not as strong when you're young. This is why they tell patients to wait if they're too young. Now, I have not researched this, but it makes sense. They said that they've never experienced any problems with warping. I truly believe that this all dependent on the surgeon's skill.

ba8eexgirl
Hello everyone...I got a 3mm L-shape nose job about 45 days ago. I have my good days and bad days...more bad than good. I look very strange when I look in the mirror...profile or 3/4 view looks okay but my front view looks weird. My eyes seems different, maybe close set? I feel like the bridge it too high but my doctor insists that 3mm is not high at all. I had a bridge before the surgery. How long does it take to get used to it? Did anyone go through similar situation? HELP!
izora
I've been getting PM's about O & Young, and I just want to point something out for those who are interested... There are 3 doctors at O & Young, and each doctor has his own style. If there is a particular picture on the clinic's website that appeals to you, then you need to call the clinic and ask which doctor performed that procedure. This way you'll know which doctor to use if you want to have surgery there. I don't think anyone at the clinic speaks English (the doctors might). When I told the girl that I sent them an email, she said that it would go straight to spam if it was written in English. Needless to say that I never received a response. The clinic does not seem to cater to foreigners, but it is extremely popular among the locals with very satisfied patients. You can always hire a translator if you're determined to have surgery there.

Everyone has his or her own views. Basically Cosmetic surgery in Miami is all about getting rid of damages like scars or any birthmarks. Today, cosmetic surgery has led to a socially acceptable choice, and millions of people the benefits of newTechniques and affordable in the industry. izora
I received an email consultation from Dr. Kim. He recommended dermal fat graft for me and quoted me 5,000,000 KWN (very expensive). I ruled him out because he does not use rib cartilage. Anacli seems like a good clinic with a wide array of services- it seems like a lot of foreigners go there. bluesleek22
my ultimate decision is still korea over singapore as i tot the doctors in korea are more experienced and skillful. Not sure any gd doctors in singapore can do a good job though having surgery done in korea may not neccessary guarantee good results.

houseoftaylor
Izora@ With VIP clinic, did they say the doctor had 10 years of experience with rib? I recall reading that from your prior post. But recently i sent them an email and for some reason they expanded that number to 15 years. I don't know it seems a little made up to me since they are telling us different years that are so far apart.
cottoncandy77
IZORA, Hi, izora, i was just wondering how you found reviews on o & young? Can you read korean or something? I went to their website and its all in korean so i can't understand it. Please help me. Thankyou
izora
VIP just said that the doctor has over 10 years of experience with rib cartilage rhinoplasty, but he's been a plastic surgeon since 1994. The number "15" never came up, but I suppose that is over 10 years. Joann said that she's been with VIP for 10 years.
