koreanboy
Hi, guys! It's been a while since I've been on here, but I thought I'd share a quick update! It's now day 12 after my surgery. I went to the clinic again a couple days ago (on day 10) and got the stitches in the inside of my nose taken out. It hurt! Also, I spoke with the doctor who did my chin, and we had a little fight. I started the conversation saying that I didn't really like the chin so far and that I thought that the implant was placed a little too high. He got really defensive and said that the surgery went exactly as planned and that he had no idea why I wasn't happy. I understand that he was defending his work and all and that he was maybe slightly offended/hurt that I was not satisfied, but I feel like he should have been calmer and reassured me that everything would turn out fine in the end and that if it didn't, he would fix it and make sure that I was satisfied. But he got just super upset with me and said I had no reason to be unhappy! BUT the good news is that with each passing day the chin looks more and more normal Also, the swelling in my face/nose is going down each day, and I love it more and more! So I think I'll end up as pleased with the chin as I am with the nose! Here are some pics I took earlier today: http://s1191.photobucket.com/albums/z463/koreanboynose/day12/ I think you can really see the dramatic improvement when you do a direct before/after comparison of similar anglesLEFT SIDE: (before) http://i1191.photobucket.com/albums/z463/koreanboynose/Before/BEFOREL.jpg (before) http://i1191.photobucket.com/albums/z463/koreanboynose/Before/IMG_0007.jpg (AFTER) http://i1191.photobucket.com/albums/z463/koreanboynose/day12/Photoon2010-11-14at14453.jpgRIGHT SIDE: (before) http://i1191.photobucket.com/albums/z463/koreanboynose/Before/IMG_0011-1.jpg (before) http://i1191.photobucket.com/albums/z463/koreanboynose/Before/BEFORER.jpg (before) http://i1191.photobucket.com/albums/z463/koreanboynose/Before/BEFORE45R.jpg (AFTER) http://i1191.photobucket.com/albums/z463/koreanboynose/day12/Photoon2010-11-14at14472.jpg And the swelling keeps going down, and it keeps getting better! I have to go in again in two days to get the stitches in my mouth taken out. I'll give another update later this week!

kain
silicone can extrude and cause contraction of the nose because what happens is the body forms a capsule around the silicone. this makes it easy for the silicone to slip and either extrude or allow the flesh around it to slip down the sides of the silicone (making it look like a piggy nose) goretex is better because it is porous so it does not extrude or contract easily and allows blood vessels to come in(they have white blood cells which fight inffection) silitex is better than silicone because since it has some goretex on it, extrusion and contraction is not nearly as common. infection is less common too rib is from your own body so infection should be less likely. i honestly haven't done too much research on rib. i just started to consider it recently. but there is a risk of it warping. it can also be reabsorbed by the body. there are benefits but i can't remember i g2g ill post more later
via
thankyou for the reply! kain
kinda unrelated but does anyone have experience with briinging a laptop through the airport(not a brand new one but one i already own)? do you have to bring a receipt to prove i didn't buy it while traveling(or risk paying taxes on it)? will the xray machine make my laptop explode? jamnyc
I have a scar on the back of my ear (right near where the ear attaches) that is a thin line. No one will ever see it and I can't tell any difference now versus before.
sassygrl
haha. U just have to take off your shoes and laptop and put it in the plastic bin when you go through the security check. it's a hassle. Then they scan it through the machine.
