yunhojung
Being a silent reader for a long time, i finally decided to start posting >< i'm considering dr jung at vip, but his info doesn't seem to be on the website?
bluewillow
Hi guys. I feel obligated to report the events today. Apparently prospective patients who frequent this forum voice their concerns by pointing out my experience. The clinic knew who I was right away and called me in the morning to apologize and offered me a revision surgery free of charge. I said I would consider it. Anyway, that was a nice gesture. After work, I went to a consultation with Dr. Somboon Waiprib at Bumrungrad Hospital. Besides working for private hospitals, he also lectures at major public uni and hospitals. When I told him I had my surgery done in Korea, he asked which doctor performed the surgery. Turned out he used to do his studies in Korea!! And he knew Dr. Jung! Only words of praise for Dr Jung and he seemed genuinely surprised that there was an infection in my case. He was adamant about Dr. Jung being 'the best' and 'in a class of his own' when it comes to performing rhinoplasty. So now I guess I'll be flying to Korea to have my revision with Dr. Jung. Ironic how words of one doctor in Thailand really bolstered my faith in Dr. Jung. Anyway, I'm glad people are finding my posts useful? Those planning to go for Dr. Jung shouldn't be completely deterred by my experience. After all, even some princess went there for a nose job. Not to mention, I'm going back there myself. bisousx
I don't think that Dr. Jung is at VIP - if I am correct, Dr. Jung = Shimmian and Dr. Lee = VIP.
reiyuna
Hey guys, it's been a while since my last thread. Before, I was set on getting: Fat Graft & Rib Nose @ VIP Mandible and Zygoma @ Dr. Song Eyes @ Teuim I am now in Korea and ended up cancelling my appointments and headed right to surgery for: Eyes @ Dr. Koh Silicone Nose & Mandible and Zygoma @ Banobagi Hopefully they were better choices.. I am going through the emotional stage right now. Christ. This forum did not prepare me enough for what I went through. Zero pain so far, but maximum discomfort for an extended period which I personally feel is worse! I know the above changes were drastic but I am so over this whole PS thing I wanted it over and done with rather than going to the cheapest and the best specialist doctor for each procedure. Recovery would be extended and I would have to take medicine for an extra long time. If any of you are by yourself here, I urge you to please please bring some company or meet up with someone from the forum. You will need the support! Luckily and coincidentally, the "Living-Tel" that Kara set me up in had 2 other forum members from cozycot/purse forum who are across the hall from me. Kara and these 2 girls have saved me a significant amount of mental trauma. I'm 2nd day post op now and still in discomfort, but the first 3 hrs after you wake up from GA is THE WORST. I wasn't able to drink water until a certain time and my tongue and roof of my mouth were actually going hard from dehydration. It was a disgusting experience and made me and the other 2 girls question ourselves why we are putting ourselves through this?! I guess we can only wait out the results to see if it was worth all the hell of healing.. Good luck guys, I never realised what a tough journey this was until actually experiencing it for myself. Please be mentally prepared.. x

yunhojung
gosh i'm so terribly misreading this. i always thought the doctor for rib at vip is dr jung. so it's dr lee? sorry sorry. as i was reading the thread, i realised it's important to know what kinda nose i want but i really cant tell what would suit me. I'm afraid i'll probably end up not being able to make up my mind on wad i want. all i know is that i definitely need a nj. DX
halley
Yeah, when I asked Dr Jung's clinic how much a revision would be if I wasn't 100% happy, they said no cost. Hope your revision goes well! I am pretty sure I'll be going with Jung as well. Just hope his b/a pics are the rules and not exceptions. I really like his revision work so at least I know if I need one I'll be ok. reiyuna
Hey Kayrider! I was originally really against the idea of having silicone in my nose, but then realised that rib also has side effects and wasn't sure if it was worth the multiple surgeries and pain.. Dorkiegirl went to Dream clinic the other day before deciding on Banobagi with me and another forumer. I hope it will turn out ok cos there's 3 of our noses on the line here lol Me at 2 days post-op, another at 1 day post-op, and Dorkiegirl at about 12 days post-op. Dorkiegirl said that the pictures were tooooo amazing. All the receptionists were hot but as all of us girls were going for the natural look, we finally decided on Banobagi. If we wanted perfect results and didn't mind people knowing we had nose jobs then we would have picked Dream.
rawdude
lol , i had fat grafts too, but unfortunately, it didnt work on me. but i hope yours last. cmon show us some masterpiece pics! i have to be honest to everyone here, so far, every noses i had seen done by dr lee are way better than mine. i swear. i looked bird right post op, ppl didnt recognise me and my bridge swelling subsided now but not my tip. uneven. but i know its getting better each day so im having patience as i know my skin is very very thick. same goes to everyone out there, have more patience , dunt be paranoid right after surgery, most changes you r seeing are cuz of swelling. believe me, couple of weeks time u will see yourself changing more and more overtime stretch over months, i believe u will like your noses more. if you have bumps or watever do not be freaked out, give it more time to heal say 6mnths-8 mths as this is not silicone/goretex(more perfect shape;fake looking) .. its about reconstructing your body parts( just like fixing a dislocation/fractured finger/bone) expect huge swelling, monster nose which looks quite punched. its perfectly normal. infact if u look perfectly shaped right after surgery- something is very wrong( surgeon did not account for the absorption (about 10% or less) that is going to happen on us overtime) -- yes u look gd faster and look bad later. so we all rather we look less desirable now, bite the bullet for now and well look better thru many years down the road yeah? y not post up some pics once cast is removed and let those who had been thru take a look? again - patience patience patience.
