cornflower-blue Posted June 10, 2011 Posted June 10, 2011 There are people in Hollywood who would pay to have cheeks like yours. Don't touch them (really, don't, or it'll bite you in the bum).
gymangel812 Posted June 10, 2011 Posted June 10, 2011 i have this problem too and considered getting that procedure. but for the reasons mentioned above, i don't think i will but instead i'd like to get some filler (and possibly an implant if i like the look) in the top of my cheekbones so i have more pronounced cheekbones. this is something you might want to consider .
elynnin Posted June 10, 2011 Author Posted June 10, 2011 Hi all thanks for all the responses. I looked more into this and someone online suggested liposuction instead. If I were to get a procedure I wouldn't want to take out so much that I have hollowed out cheeks...just the part near the side of my face that kind of gives me a rounder jawline i think? I kind of want a more angular face with a narrower jaw. But if buccal fat removal procedures are really that much of a time bomb, I wonder if I can achieve this with just a chin implant? Has anyone ever done this and does your chin look and feel normal? Can you squeeze or push up your chin after a chin implant?
eliza Posted June 11, 2011 Posted June 11, 2011 ew. don't do it. you'll wreck a face that doesn't need any help in the first place!
bisousx Posted June 11, 2011 Posted June 11, 2011 I have a chin implant. It makes a subtle difference and you can still keep the cuteness of your face. You can move your face around but once you tinker with it, it doesn't feel the same. After all, the materials you use aren't supposed to melt into your face, it's still an implant. Btw, I would think that lipo is only good if you have a double chin (like Bristol Palin did). On the same note as Bristol, I would still be very cautious about which surgeon you choose for the chin ... if you look at Bristol's new photos, her chin is too long.
elynnin Posted June 11, 2011 Author Posted June 11, 2011 Okay, thanks. I don't think I'll do that because I don't want to put anything inside me that is foreign. I'm okay with taking things out but I'd be uncomfortable with adding things just because it won't feel the same.
lowcarb Posted June 11, 2011 Posted June 11, 2011 What models do to gain that angular, high cheekbone structured look is have all of their wisdom teeth (3rd molars) removed.http://askthedentist.com/can-wisdom-teeth-surgery-cause-a-narrowing-of-the-face Like the others here, I would not rec removal of the buccal fat pads. And don't have a chin implant. I've seen these and the result is manly or obviously fake like Bristol Palin. What does make a big difference is removal of the wisdom teeth or 3rd molars. I had this done when I was 16 because they were impacted, nevertheless, I have a sculpted look to my face due to the fact the molars aren't there. If you decide to have this done, have an oral surgeon remove them. Takes about 1 hour or less. Some oral surgeons prefer general anesthesia, some will do local depending....costs about $3k for all four to be removed. Insurance will cover usually to 50 percent or more. Lowcarb
odette Posted June 12, 2011 Posted June 12, 2011 I thought my face was too round when I was 19 as well - but now at 27 my face shape has changed to the point where the definition is just right. I would not get surgery at that age.
