jazz77 Posted January 9, 2013 Posted January 9, 2013 LVuittonAddict, I've had both. I started off with saline eleven years ago (back when silicone was banned). A year and a half ago, I switched to silicone (I also had a capsule removed on leftie and dealt with a drainage tube for a week, but that is a whole different story!). I can say without a shred of a doubt, go with silicone. I cannot stress how much better they look and feel; the difference is like night and day. I was/am about the size you are looking to go to (32D, moderate profile). Today's silicone is also a much better product than the silicone of yesteryear, and there are plenty of docs who are experienced with giving mammographies to women with implants. As for a rhinoplasty, it doesn't have nearly the same satisfactory rate. I underwent one about seven years ago and while I am happy with the results, I wouldn't mind it tweaked again (the tip could be a little slimmer....). It's common for 40% of patients to undergo a revision at least once, so please know that going in.
pquiles Posted April 22, 2013 Posted April 22, 2013 I like this thread. Getting up in age and am considering surgery, but unsure of which direction to go.
lvuittonaddict Posted May 5, 2013 Author Posted May 5, 2013 i ended up with silicone and I am quite happy. i would have went bigger, but who doesnt wish they had went bigger? lol
jazz77 Posted May 14, 2013 Posted May 14, 2013 I forgot to add that if I could do it over, I would just keep my little B's. Larger breasts may be idolized in the U.S. and by men, but, IMO, smaller breasts are so much more chic. And you can't beat au naturel.
kathrynd Posted May 21, 2013 Posted May 21, 2013 Yes...all of my friends who went under for augmentation (myself included) wish that we had gone with the surgeon's recommendations (which was to go bigger).
cutiepiepie Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 I have silicone (340 cc) best thing I ever did! I am now a 32E cup. I had the surgery 7 years ago and they are the best asset still ^_^ My PS put them above the muscle as I dont have kids, therefore never had to breastfeed.. generally only go under the muscle if your boobs "droop" Btw, I had my surgery in Australia (where I live) I didnt really research going overseas, but I know a lot girls here go to Thailand but I wouldnt take that risk.. but am getting a tip plasty in korea in sept this year
