Asian Nose Job 3

Recommended Posts

What did VIP quote you for a nose job?
They quoted me $5,000 for a silicone implant for the bridge and ear cartilage for the tip and septal cartilage for the structure... and suggested a $2,000 paranasal implant! :O SO EXPENSIVE!!!!

How much is the harmony rhinoplasty performed with VIP?
I am really intrigued by their B&As, particularly this one:

http://www.beauty-korea.com/board/view.asp?B_CATEGORY=0&B_CODE=B_Gallery&tID=102&sID=107&IDX=289&gotopage=2&search_category=&searchstring=

I am so pleased with the picture, I want to book my flights and surgery. But, they take so long to respond to my email.

Anyone underwent this procedure? How much? Any negative feedbacks?

That the person in the photo looks a lot like Kain, an active member on this forum. From what I remember he got paranasal augmentation and a rib graft rhinoplasty. VIP sent me a quote for the same procedures yesterday (lol), and the rib graft rhino is $9,500 USD and the paranasal augmentation is $2,000 USD. You can ask Kain yourself/look up his past posts to read about his experience. As far as I can tell, he's quite satisfied with his outcome... I hope this helps!

I may go back to my first surgeon for revision, if I couldn't find other surgeon I have confident in. I had it done in Sydney about end of last year. After all, I had faith in him that's why I had my nose done by him at the 1st place.
It was my primary rhinoplasty. The final outcome is asymmetry nostril size  The tip is bulbous and my surgeon suggested steroid injection and he would fixed the nostril as well. I'm still considering to go back not but I don know which other doctor is good in nose revision.

Hi Jenny_cos,

I read your thread on the other page asking about Dr A. Kim.
Did you have yours done at Advanced Beauty Cosmetic Clinic with Dr. A Kim? He's the one who was on the tv program. Did he show you many before and after patients that he's done?

To fix your nose does it have to be an Asian Dr.?

I've done research in some other countries for their doctors and for Sydney I found on the internet: Dr. Peter Kim and he is in Sydney too- he has lots of images for fillers for the nose but I'm sure he can do nose surgery too- he just doesn't display much before and after images for his surgeries on the nose which I was trying to find.

There are also specialists in Sydney that focus on the nose- try search them but I can't find Asian patients on those websites.

Go to a specialist, someone who does noses only... an ENT with a cosmetic background too. - this sounds difficult since I've been searching all over the world for good doctors and Korea seems the only place where they're really great. Korea, America, or Thailand.. (lots of lady boys and some you can't even tell the difference which is the real female.. so Thailand has to have good surgeons.. right?) hmm

That's just my 2 cents...
Hope your Dr. fixes up your nose!

Hi Worries

I was there is after at about 12 + pm, were you there at this time? Just saw your posting on purse forum.

I have do some research on nose implant mostly Korean Dr like to use silicone implant only recent year people start to use Goretex. Plus more so even Dr Jung are pioneer in Nose for 10 over years that why i think he use this "new material implant.

I have did some research say that Gore-tex can shrink 40% in size over time which i have raise this to Dr Jung.

He mention:-

1) Silicone is hard in material therefore result will be more "outstanding" for people with thick skin.
2) Gore-Tex is soft material (look natural) and it result will be better for thin skin. I have asked Dr Jung hat But since the material is soft it will "blend" into to skin over time. He replied before they implant the gore-tex will go through a process in "high pressure" to compress the Gore-tex before implant and of course the dr skill must be good. He mentioned pro is look natural con it will be difficult to remove require a skillful dr to do

I was also confused between Silicone or Goretex during my first nose rhinoplasty he has quote both material at the same price USD$4,800.

Did anyone in this forum who had goretex implant ?

Did he advise you to do it within 6 months? or you want to do it ?

Hi Worries, I have goretex to augment my nose. I never have silicone implant so I wont be able to tell the different. I read Vanita's post mentioned gore-tex can shrink in size, I'm not sure mine shrink or not, but I realise my nose radix not as high or as wide anymore after about 6 months post-op. I'm not sure it's because the gore-tex shrink in size or because the swollen has gone or because I already get use to it perhaps?
When you say your skin is thinning, how do you tell ? can you pm me your photos? I'm not sure mine is thinning not, I realise there is area depress beside my nose (you know where is glasses nose pad sit), and it's obvious when it reflect on light.
