I have been researching heaps and yes I did come across the posts re Grand's high sue rates. I've received quite professional and detailed responses from them and was considering them because they have fantastic pics on website but now i'm wary.

Seoul Touch Up is actually a tourism/surgery co-ordinating company a consultant called me today and we had a lengthy conversation about all my queries regarding silicon etc. I also got many responses regarding silicon and it seems it is the best option and used in 95% of rhinos and for the past 50 years, hence the reason for problem stories but he said if done properly can achieve a natural soft look as you also said. He also told me (along with another clinic response) that rib and dermo fat are all marketing gimmicks and that they have a lot of people wanting revisions for rib rhino because of the undesirable shape and the hardness. Also the surgery scale becomes larger because they need to cut below your chest also. I didn't realise they were a tourism/surgery company until he mentioned that I would be going to Dream for rhino.

He mentioned a lot of celebrities who have been operated on by Dr Park at Dream "off the raider" haha. Also he is one of the few skilled surgeons who can do the whole operation closed leaving no scars. My friend did a closed rhino there her only regret was not making it higher as she thinks its too natural. He also said you will be awake in the surgery so can see that it is the same doctor doing surgery and warned of places with young junior dr's.

I got quoted same as you for VIP but they also recc i get mid face augamentation for 3k omg...scared when i go for consults they will tempt me with more procedures lol.

Oh the guy at Seoul Touch also said alar reduction leaves scarring on the sides but will fade over time.

I want to check out Migo but they have no english on site? are you going to hire an interpretor?

I might look at Regen and Samsung too. Trying to narrow it all down to about 5 or 6.

Hello! I'm really interested in rhinoplasty.
I have a flat, wide nose. (I'm Asian, go figure)
I'm planning on going to Korea in March 2013 and I think I have narrowed the clinics down to.. possibly three.
Dr. Jung (Shimmian) for $4800
Dr. Park (OZ Clinic) $2600 ~ $3608
and Apgujeong Seoul Plastic Surgery (Which was recommended by a Korean friend, but I haven't gotten a quote yet)

Money shouldn't matter if I get a good nose, right?
Which one do you guys suggest? Who did you see and why did you choose them?

I'm from singapore and i've been considering either going to ID, Dream or Cinderella ( i heard more locals prefer to go to cinderella as BK and such caters to tourists) for rhinoplasty. The two procedures i intend to do are nasil reduction and sharpening of the nose tip, not sure if i need any implants for a nose bridge.

I'm hesitant to go for local surgeons, i heard that they dont have a lot of experience, plus they charge very exhoribitantly. I enquired about dr. martin huang, and got quoted 12k sgd for nasal reduction+tip, whereas BK clinic told me the charges for rhinoplasty were only 3-5K USD, but i have yet to email the doctors my pictures so they could advise what kind of procedures i should go for, and i am scared about going to korea alone as i don't have any friends going to korea at the year end period, and i have to handle everything myself. I am also looking for a surgery buddy (female only) because i have never been to korea before and i don't want to get ripped off by the clinics and travel agencies in regards to accomodation costs etc. I'd like to go in the end of april-july period this year!

Has anyone heard of or been to Nano? I just randomly found this site and their before and afters are all very impressive!

I'm going more for that Min Hyo Rin type of nose where the columella sort of peaks out with that upturned point at the very edge of the nose and this place seems to be able to do that.

I saw doctor lee, he just said that a little bit of walking is good and that all that exercise and shopping I did was not a good idea LMFao *so owned!!!* so if any of you guys have read my posts saying that "walking around for 5 hours is good"-I think I mentioned this several times I take it back! doctor lee just said only jn moderation not too much let your body heal..I'm sitting in the waiting room using all there wifi while I line up for hair wash..

Btw I have my cast off.. Remember this is 7 days post op.... I think it's still a little big my nose definitely makes me look eurasian.. It's pretty tall im hoping that the rib will re-absorb a little more in the next few weeks or months but for now I will accept and love my new slightly big nose.

Things to consider- I have to admit I kinda feel like another one of Dr Lees creation, there were a few other girls there that had really similar noses to mine, it does make you wonder about diversity and what will happen in the near future. To me I really didn't care about this cause as soon as I get away from my "clones" and hit my hometown I know for for sure ill be unique there.

The photos, well to be honest I'm pretty photogenic, videos don't lie so I would rather give you before and after videos to those who are really considering it ( it will be on private viewing for those those who add me and tell me a little bit about themselves).. I do look a little plastic but apparently it's just your skin adjusting post op, I wouldn't say my nose is perfectly amazing - its good like I just wanted something better than before and hence am satisfied with no expectations.

Wow the doctor did such an amazing job on you. I'm planning on going to Korea to get rhinoplasty and chin implant this year and here are the top clinics I am considering (in no particular order).

1 - VIP
2 - Grand
3 - OZ Cosmetic Clinic
4 - Cinderella


Just wanting to do a little more research before I book my plane ticket. What made you go with VIP?

Just an update of my status. I am currently in Seoul and had have my primary nose job last friday
The entire experience was pleasant so far.
Just to share some of my experience here: Like most of the forumers, I started research on Seoul clinics via websites and forums. And had shortlisted the clinics based on some reviews and recommendations. At the very last few weeks before Seoul trip, we (and two other friends) had decided to get translators which have turned out to be a very right decision Of course, it is highly dependent on the quality translators. Hence, be extra cautious when hiring a translator.
I was struggled to get a trustworthy translator: how can you trust someone without knowing her in person? I was searching through the website and found my translator via Baidu (luckily I can communicate well in mandarin). After a few conversations with her, she had completely changed my favorite clinics to what she recommended. Very scary...because most people would suspect she might mislead me to her clinics (this was what I felt at first). Hahaha...make the story short, I eventually decided to take risk and follow her recommendations.
The first day arrived in Seoul, we met in the rented apartment near Sinsa Station (5-10 minutes walking distance), and started consultations immediately. Had consultation with four clinics in the first day from Dream, Cinderella, Nano and Migo. In general, all clinics except Cinderella which doctor was not available to see me during consultation, all other three doctors gave similar recommendations. I felt good with Nano as the doctor asked me whose nose I would like to have and I showed him some pictures, he looked at my picture and the celebrity's picture and said OK. Actually Nano is a small clinic and all koreans not in-house translators like those big clinics. If not because of my translator, for sure, I would be visiting this clinic. Until now, I also felt I was quite daring to choose this clinic

So far, I am happy with my nose (not too high not too low, hehehe my original nose was flat and bulbous). Tomorrow I will have a follow up check up and remove the cast. Hopefully, I will love it

and nothing you say is going to convince me that:
1. my less than 3cm scar originated from a "3-4 inch gash" (extremism! or did my surgeon manipulate the laws on physics to shrink my scar?) (ps. your surgery, if it was captured on video, would make many people shudder as well)
2. you are being neither hypocritical nor judgmental by implying that we are not treating our bodies as a temple.

also, your "question" meets all the criteria for the definition of a rhetorical and loaded question, so it is judgmental. you have had your own surgery which was bloody, which is hypocritical. who are you to judge others who want surgery? why do you get to say that certain surgeries are okay while others are a desecration upon our bodies? tell me, have you decided that blepharoplasty is okay? or would that be desecration? what about facial contouring surgery? or is that too bloody for you?

if it was purely a personal decision, then that is encouraged. people need to decide their own limits.
and if you were actually being positive and socially encouraging (even if you were being encouraging towards not getting surgery), then thats great too.

but a holier than thou attitude where you imply that certain surgeries are desecration upon our "temples" while completely neglecting to mention other, similar or more severe surgeries is obviously not welcome in a plastic surgery thread.
