fraiseo Posted March 4, 2012 Share Posted March 4, 2012 Hey everyone I've been such a lurker on these threads (ANJ 1, 2 and 3) for a while and this is the first time I've ever posted. I am looking to get rhinoplasty done in Thailand, not just because of the price, but because I've been there before and am more familiar with the place. I'm undecided between where I should get my surgery done as I want a rib cartilage implant but most surgeons use silicon, can anyone recommend a surgeon who uses rib or even ear cartilage? VIP, on the other hand, just offer to insert the rib on bridge n tip, and while thats what im aiming for, dr lee or joann did not assure me that my other thing - bulbous tip n wide alar will change. taeyang123 Posted March 4, 2012 Share Posted March 4, 2012 i would love to hear about her review of the clinic. did she ever document it on a forum or anything (any pictures)? i like dr. wangs aesthetic a little better then some of the clinics in korea. i have a slim egg shaped face that is slightly long so i am hoping to get a nose that will match with the rest of my features. im not sure if vip or some other korean clinics would be able to give me the sharpness i want. most of the patients that come in have round faces. Thats mad that is - but i was thinking thatn ive seen loads of transgender in thailand and theyre surgery is amazing which is why i wanted to use them as an option. So far I have been emailing Dr Pat - who is meant to be really good a long with this hospital called Bumregard (sp?) . The first one Dr Pat (part of the tokai clinic) is an actual PS clinic whereas the second one is a hospital. Both decent priced too. Waaay cheaper than Korea and China! But again there isnt a lot Bout them. I only seen no more than 5- 10 in the Singapore thread and I havent seen them mentioned much in this one!! I was thinking Bumrungrad also (if that's the one you're talking about) or Yanhee. I've heard only great things about Bumrungrad even though their prices are more expensive than most, it seems well worth it for their reliability, they also appear to have many experienced doctors that are well acredited. Yanhee is cheaper and has mixed bad and good reviews. Many say it's all about the money, and they focus more on getting you in than actual performance. But Yanhee specialises in plastic surgery and I've seem some great before and afters. How do you feel about Tokai clinic? She went back to Dr Wang 1 yr post her ops cuz her nose tip is too too high and it looks unnatural in reality. Indeed I dont really like her nose. But it somehow fits her quite well. There is another doctor called Zhang Hui fr Xi An. He operates on rib cartilage too. His price is much much lower. I feel VIP's nose is very natural, however the nose tip still seems bullous after the surgery.
